3 Places I Love to Take My Kids in Columbus: Shannon Gallatin

Each month I will be featuring a local parent who will tell us about three places they love to take their kids in Columbus!

Thanks to Shannon for sharing 3 of her favorites with us this month!

1. Party Like It’s Your Birthday

Now with locations at the Worthington Mall and Polaris Mall, there is even more to love about Party Like It’s Your Birthday. It’s a party boutique and craft bar that caters to your every need. They take the stress out of planning parties and do an amazing job thinking of every little detail. If it’s not time to plan a birthday party or that’s not in the budget this year, then make sure to catch one of their amazing classes, camps or open play times. They provide a fun, full sensory experience for kids (and adults)  of all ages!

2. Peace Love and Little & Donuts

Peace Love & Little Donuts in Old Worthington is our favorite spot for donuts these days. When you walk in you are immediately greeted with a free donut (for first timers). Their donuts are made fresh throughout the day, meaning your donuts will most likely still be warm as you eat them! Not only do you get to watch the assembly process, but you get to direct it! You can choose from a amazing assortment of yummy toppings. Whether you’re looking for a fun breakfast spot or a little afternoon adventure, this is a fun and tasty outing for the whole family.

3. Firefly Play Cafe

Firefly Play Cafe, located in Clintonville, has been one of my favorite spots to take my daughter since she was an infant. Not only do they have tons of activities for kids including a bounce house, play kitchen, slides, trains, climbing area, infant area and more, they host story times and events throughout the week. They have snacks for sale for kids and adults and always have freshly brewed coffee! It acts as the perfect meet up spot for play dates, especially on cold or rainy days. Kids under one are free and kids 12-24 months are $5/each.

My name is Shannon. Things that I am passionate about: my family, friends, lifestyle blogging individuals with disabilities, baking, traveling, Jesus…oh, and bargains….I’m a sucker for a good bargain! Some might call it being frugal…I call it being  thrifty! I was born and raised in Columbus and love exploring the magic of this city.

I hope that you find my blog, mylifeintheblink.com,  to be a safe haven for you, a place where you find that you’re not alone, a place where encouragement, ideas, hope and maybe even a few laughs meet you along the way.
