Everyone in Columbus knows when the Arnold Sports Festival is in town! The ratio of bodybuilders to normal people walking around the city is turned on its head! 😉 But did you know that a portion of the Arnold Sports Festival is specifically dedicated to kids and teens? Last year was the first I had heard about it and my family is looking forward to attending the Arnold SportsWorld Kids and Teen Expo this year!
This two day festival includes family-friendly activities such as contests, games, a fun zone with zorb balls, face painting, virtual reality video games, bounce houses, bull riding and so much more!
Local organizations such as the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Clippers, Columbus Crew, Ohio Machine, ZipZone Canopy Tours, Ohio State Chess Club and more will participate in the EXPO, giving kids and teens hands on experiences, clinics and the chance to watch sports demonstrations by some of their favorite teams! There will be over 20 different sports areas for kids to explore!
Kids and adults will be participating in competitions such as baton twirling, gymnastics, taekwondo, archery and more! Make sure to check the full schedule of performances so you don’t miss jugglers, magicians, Irish dancers, musicians and many other live acts! Other highlights include Ronda Rousey, Mike Gillette and Randy Couture, Arnold’s Quest for Talent and the Miss Arnold Teen Fitness Pageant!
The Arnold Fitness EXPO takes place at the Columbus Convention Center Friday through Sunday, March 2-4, 2018 and the Kids and Teens EXPO will take place at the Ohio Expo Center on Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the Kids and Teens EXPO is included with your Daily EXPO ticket. Children 14 and under are free to enter both EXPOs!
Ticket options:
  • The Daily EXPO Ticket: $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
  • Ages 14 and under are free if accompanied by an adult.
  • 3 Daily EXPO Tickets: $40 (pre-sale only, offer ends 2/28/18)

*Advance Ticket Sales are only available through February 28, 2018. Beginning March 1, all tickets are $20 and available at the door only.

The Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teen EXPO will be held in the Bricker Building at Ohio Expo Center. Parking will be available there for $10. While much of the Arnold Sport Festival will be taking place at the Columbus Convention Center, a shuttle will be available between Ohio Expo Center and the Columbus Convention Center during the following times:

So many great activities for the kids! And I LOVE that admission for 14 and under is FREE! (Just a fun story- my retired parents have worked the Arnold as "red coats" before. One year my dad got to meet Arnold at one of the side doors. He was pretty excited! ;) )

This looks like so much fun! Karl and I have been to this in years past, but always "catering" the event, never really attending the exhibits. I had no idea it was kid-friendly...!! We'll have to check it out this year. Let me know when you are going and maybe we can meet up!
