9:45 AM – Drop In Music Class at Coffee Connections of Hilliard – drop in for a class with WeJoySing! $5/child and $3 for siblings. There are two class times: 9:45 and 10:30. You can preregister or drop in.  

10:00 AM – Our Village: Winnie the Pooh Play Date at Polaris Fashion Place – celebrate Winnie the Pooh Day with a play date with FIT4MOM Columbus North. Your first class is free and the play date is free. Appropriate for ages 5 and under. 

10:00 AM – Think Outside the Brick at Columbus Museum of Art – check out an amazing display of LEGOS featuring downtown Columbus, build with LEGOS and put your work on display and participate in a LEGO scavenger hunt. 

10:00 AM – Pete The Cat with Columbus Children’s Theatre – rock and roll with Pete the Cat at his family! This musical performance takes place at Park Street Theatre and is recommended for ages Pre-K and up.

10:30 AM – Homemade Snow Craft at Foundations Learning Academy (Dublin) – join FIT4MOM Dublin for a free craft time. They will be making homemade snow! (A FIT4MOM workout takes place beforehand. 

10:30 AM – Our Village: Winnie the Pooh Play Date at The Shops at Worthington Place – celebrate Winnie the Pooh Day with a play date with FIT4MOM Columbus North. Your first class is free and the play date is free. Appropriate for ages 5 and under. 

10:30 AM – Happy Birthday Chick-fil-A at Chick-fil-A at Grandview Yard – celebrate the 1 year birthday of Chick-fil-A at Grandview Yard by saying Happy Birthday when you order and you can get a free cookie!

6:30 PM – Family Swim at Goldfish Swim Schools – families can enjoy the 90 degree water at all three Goldfish Swim School locations from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM every Friday. $5/person for non members or $15/family.

10:00 AM – Our Village: We Rock the Spectrum Play Date at We Rock the Spectrum – Columbus – join FIT4MOM Columbus North for a special playdate at We Rock the Spectrum. Kids 12 months and older can play for a discounted rate of $8/kid. All are welcome to attend!

11:00 AM – Author Story Time: Annie Martucci at Cub Shrub – autorh Annie Martucci will read her book, The Search For Your Best Furever Friend: An Animal Alphabet Adventure and there will be a craft after the story time!

11:00 AM – Logan Frozen Festival on Logan’s historic Main Street – head to Hocking Hills for this festival that includes over 25 ice sculptures, live sculpting demonstrations, ice games, iceless ice skating, live music, vendors, food trucks and more!

1:00 PM – Natural Play Area: Shelter Building at Three Creeks Metro Park – build a shelter out of materials found in the woods!

3:00 PM – LEGO Club at Southwest Public Libraries (Westland Area Library) – use your imagination to build with LEGOS!

3:00 PM – Tinker Lab at Southwest Public Libraries (Grove City Library) – take part in a challenge for kids in grades 2-5. This month’s theme is Squishy Circuits and will involve the power of electricity and play dough!

MONDAY – Martin Luther King Jr. Day

9:00 AM – MLK Art Camp at Picassos – create art inspired by the hopes and dreams of Martin Luther King Jr. There is also an afternoon session at 2:00 PM.

9:30 AM – Our Village: Ice Sensory Play Date with FIT4MOM Upper Arlington – join FIT4MOM UA for a sensory playdate featuring ice! The workout begins at 9:30 AM and the playdate begins at 10:30 AM. The playdate is free to attend.

9:30 AM – Calling all Kids: Owl Pellets at Three Creeks Heritage Nature Center – learn all about owls by dissecting an owl pellet!

10:00 AM – Martin Luther King Jr. Day Story Time and Craft at Cub Shrub (Grandview) – honor MLK Jr. with stories and a craft based on his life and message. Bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

We’re heading into a 3-day weekend for many people and there are several ways to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. throughout the weekend! Here are 16 things you can do with your kids in and around Columbus! Enjoy!

4. First Responders Night with Ohio State Hockey

This annual hockey face-off between the Columbus Police Department and the Columbus Fire Department raises money to support first responders in Columbus and throughout Ohio!
