9:00 AM – Pixies & Pumpkins at Lynd Fruit Farm – pixie crunch apples and pumpkins are available for picking this weekend and Lynd Fruit Farm!

10:00 AM – Pickerington Pop Up Shop of Clothing, Toys & More – shop for gently used children’s clothing, toys, books, maternity clothes, baby gear and more! Check the link for all the times and details!

11:00 AM – Apple Picking at Cherry Hawk Farm – lots of apples for picking plus a sunflower field are ready at Cherry Hawk Farm!

3:00 PM – Jurassic Quest at Greater Columbus Convention Center – this dinosaur themed event includes crafts, a dinosaur exhibit, science stations, Dino theater and more!

4:00 PM – Columbus Caribbean Festival on The Scioto Mile – this free festival celebrates Caribbean cultures and includes live music, food, dancing and fun for the whole family!

5:00 PM – Grandview Oktoberfest at Hofbrauhaus Columbus – this festival goes on all weekend and includes cream puff eating contests, live music and family entertainment!

6:00 PM – Family Bingo Night at Tree of Life Play + Cafe – every Friday in September is Family Bingo Night!

6:30 PM – Mother/Son Superhero Party! at Hilliard/Ray Patch Family YMCA – this fun party includes inflatables, a costume contest, games, snacks and more! Membership is not required to attend.

6:45 PM – Screen on the Green: The Princess Bride at Goodale Park – watch The Princess Bride at sunset in Goodale Park! There will be food trucks available!

7:00 PM – Franklinton Fridays in Franklinton Arts District – Franklinton Fridays support local artists with various activities and performances including including an Open House at Idea Foundry and Franklinton Fridays Music Series.

7:00 PM – Mary Poppins JR at Columbus Children’s Theatre – enjoy a family-friendly performance of Mary Poppins! The performance is one hour long with no intermission. Recommended for all ages.

7:30 PM – Sunset Cinema – Coco at Polaris Fashion Place – watch an outdoor movie at Polaris! This week’s film is COCO and the movie starts at 8:00 PM. There will be free activities beforehand, beginning at 7:30 PM.

SATURDAY

7:00 AM – POP UP! Fall Clothing and Equipment Sale at Resolute Athletic Complex – shop this large consignment sale hosted by The Columbus Mothers of Twins Club! General admission starts at 8:00 AM but you can get in at 7:00 AM with a $2 donation to charity.

9:00 AM – Wings and Wheels Fly In at Marion Airport – this fly-in just one hour from Columbus, includes food trucks, biplane rides, pedal plane races, NASA astronauts (Saturday), flight simulators, helicopter rides and more!

9:00 AM – Westgate Farmers Market – enjoy vendors, live music, activities for kids and produce and a food truck!

9:00 AM – 2018 Delaware County Fair – the Delaware County Fair includes animals, rides, vendors, a tractor pull, demonstrations, performances and more! The Fair runs from September 15-22, 2018.

9:30 AM – Youth Saturdays: Canvas Painting (Aged 5 & up) at Bryn Du Art Center – kids ages 5 and up can paint their own canvas! Different techniques will be integrated but it is a time for free painting! $25/artist. Register by 9/14.

9:30 AM – Arts in the Alley 2018 in Grove City – this annual event includes a parade, marching band performances, live music, arts and crafts, a fine arts show and more!

10:00 AM – Pioneer Day at City of Reynoldsburg Livingston House – Pioneer Day includes a step back in time to participate in and watch grain grinding, combing wool, tree tapping, making dough, games and puzzles, sack races, costumes and more!

10:00 AM – Storytime LIVE! Hang Out with Curious George and Pinkalicious at Kiddie Academy of Hilliard – this is a free story time featuring Curious George and Pinkalicious! RSVP online.

10:00 AM – Jazz Academy Kids Club at Jazz Academy – the Jazz Academy Kids Club in an opportunity for kids to learn about jazz and American music! Kids can play along, jump, sing and dance to different styles of music while learning about jazz musicians and participating in other activities!

10:30 AM – September Grown-Up & Me Art: Hoot Hoot! at Art with Anna – kids ages 3 and up can join an adult to make a kid-friendly art project! $15/couple. $5 per additional artist.

10:30 AM – Yankee Peddler Festival at Clay’s Park Resort – step back into pioneer America to enjoy a family friendly festival featuring crafters and artists, vendors, samples of colonial food, demonstrations and more!

11:00 AM – Pirates & Princesses at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio – the play area at The Ronald McDonald House will be transformed into a fantasy land! Kids can dress up as a pirate or princess, enjoy food, a fairy tale make over, photo booth, games, activities, face painting, royalty training and more! Tickets are available online.

11:00 AM – Columbus Caribbean Festival on The Scioto Mile – this free festival celebrates Caribbean cultures and includes live music, food, dancing and fun for the whole family!

1:00 PM – Open Barn Days 2018 at Sunrise Sanctuary – visit the animals being rehabilitated at Sunrise Sanctuary during this once a month open hours! Adult admission is $!0, kids are $5 and limited tickets are available.

1:00 PM – Mary Poppins JR at Columbus Children’s Theatre – enjoy a family-friendly performance of Mary Poppins! The performance is one hour long with no intermission. Recommended for all ages.

2:00 PM – Grandview Oktoberfest at Hofbrauhaus Columbus  – this festival goes on all weekend and includes cream puff eating contests, live music and family entertainment!

3:00 PM – Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players at Maple Grove UMC – this fun, free concert take place outdoors (will be inside in case of rain) and also includes games and activities beginning at 3:00 PM.

8:15 PM – Movie Series – Black Panther at Highbanks Metro Park – watch Black Panther in the park! Bring your own seating. Popcorn will be provided! Recommended for ages 8 and up.

2:00 PM – Bugs & Blooms at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – families can take a 2 mile walk to look for wildflowers and insects.

2:00 PM – Pumpkin Painting Craft-ernoon at Sticky Fingers Ice Cream Parlor – paint a pumpkin and enjoy an ice cream treat! $10/person.

11:00 AM – Dispatch Fall Home and Garden Show – the Dispatch Home and Garden Show goes on all weekend and features lots of home improvement ideas and exhibitors! Kids may enjoy Sunday’s activities which include animals from Columbus Zoo, Legoland and live bugs with Dr. Insecta!

2:15 PM – Big Bounce America at LVL UP Sports Paintball Park – the World Biggest Bounce House is coming to Central Ohio with 10,000 square feet of jumping and games! See the link for age restrictions and cost!

3:00 PM – Lithopolis Honeyfest 2018 – learn about all things honey bee including educational demonstrations, honey, samples, and beekeepers! There will be live music, arts and crafts, crafts for kids and more!

12:00 PM – 2nd Sundays at Ohio Wildlife Center – visit Ohio Wildlife Center at their monthly open house, meet the resident animals and take part in an animal enrichment activity at 1:00 PM. $5/person. Kids 5 and under are free.

12:00 PM – Columbus Oktoberfest 2018 – This 3 day event includes live music, food, shopping, strolling musicians, food tasting, plus Kinderplatz, a free kids area that includes arts and crafts, inflatables, a juggler, plus a children’s parade on Sunday at 4:00 PM.

12:00 PM – Cops & Kids Day 2018 in Westerville – Cops and Kids Day features all kind of rescue vehicles and law enforcement equipment! You can “dunk-a-cop” and take part in other kids activities! The first 1500 children get a goodie bag.

12:00 PM – Goldfish Grab at Reed Road Water Park – catch a goldfish to take home as your pet! You must register in advance.

12:00 PM – 2018 Merion Village Festival in Moeler Park – this festival in Moeller Park will feature arts and crafts vendors, live music, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, kids activities, local businesses and more!

12:00 PM – 6th Annual Great Westerville Food Truck Fest at Nationwide Children’s Close to Home – this food truck festival benefits Westerville Area Resource Ministry and will feature 32 food trucks plus a climbing wall, face painting, games, live bands and more!

3:00 PM – Open Play Sunday at Blue Monkey Parties and Events – open play will be from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and each cild will be $8.

3:00 PM – Delaware All Horse Parade – this parade includes horses, ponies, wagons and carriages, cowgirls and marching bands! The parade route is 3 miles long.

3:30 PM – September Family Paint: Ohio Love at Art with Anna – the whole family can paint an Ohio-themed piece of artwork! $15/artist. Recommended for age 6 and up!

4:00 PM – Fall Festival 2018 at Linworth United Methodist Church – this festival features music from The Shazzbots, Super Games, a touch-a-truck event, free food and activities for the whole family!

7:00 PM – The Legacy Continues at Coffman High School – watch this annual drumming performance featuring students from Dublin City Schools.

Over 35 family-friendly events happening in Columbus, Ohio this weekend!

FRIDAY

9:45 AM – Drop In Music Class at Coffee Connections of Hilliard – enjoy a drop in class with WeJoySing. There are two class times for different ages. See the link for details.

10:00 AM – Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons –  this week’s theme is Animal Day featuring special guests. As always, free carousel rides and bounce houses will be on site along with other activities!

10:30 AM – KidX Summer Series at Polaris Fashion Place – enjoy free activities outside by the fountains at Polaris! This week’s theme is Star Wars! See more about KidX here.

11:00 AM – From Book to Film at Gateway Film Center – watch a movie based on a book for free with your library card! This week’s movie is Jumanji and there are showings at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM every day!

7:00 PM – Adventures of Robin Hood at Abbey Theater – enjoy a one hour, family friendly performance of The Adventures of Robin Hood. Tickets are $5/person. Performances take place July 9-13th at 7:00 PM.

7:00 PM – The Main Event in Bexley – this week the Main Event will take place at the Bexley pool! There will be a cookout, concessions, ice cream, water related activities and a showing of the Lion King around 9:00 PM.

7:00 PM – Family Movie Night at The Barn at Blystone Farm – enjoy a movie in the barn! This week’s movie will be Ratatouille. $3/ticket. Concessions will be available.

8:00 PM – Free Move Night: Coco at Columbus Commons – the movie begins around 8:15 PM. The park will be closed for a ticketed event prior to the movie. Bring a blanket or lawn chair!

8:30 PM – Friday Night Flicks: Coco at Sycamore Park Amphitheater – bring a blanket or chairs to watch a movie in the park!

8:30 PM – Family Movie Night: Coco in Weinland Park – enjoy a free movie in the park!

SATURDAY

9:00 AM – Family Costume Breakfast for Force of Fandom at Columbus Museum of Art – come dressed as your favorite character, meet R2D2, and enjoy early access to the new Force of Fandom exhibit! Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children. $5 for kids 5 and under and members receive $5 off per ticket. Tickets can be purchased online.

10:00 AM – Westerville Music & Arts Festival in Heritage Park – The festival takes place July 14th from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM and July 15th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and features art, live music and food! A special Anniversary Concert is taking place on Saturday at 7:30 PM on the Main Stage.

10:00 AM – Community Day 2018 at Pleasant Township Fire Department – this event features vendors and crafters, Kona Shaved Ice, balloon animals, face painting, bounce house, food trucks, Touch-A-Truck, dunk tank, games and more!

10:00 AM – TchotchkePalooza at the Hartman Rock Garden – enjoy a free Summer Garden Open House at the Hartman Rock Garden featuring a live indie-folk-rock band and short tours of the garden! 10:00 AM – Teddy Bear Picnic at PARTY Like It’s Your Birthday – two times are available (10:00 AM and 12:00 PM) for this Teddy Bear Picnic featuring a story, bear themed crafts, games and snacks! Kids can make honey slime and there will be face painting and professional portraits.

11:00 AM – Story time at Franklin Park Conservatory – local author Carlotta Penn will read her book, Dream A Rainbow. This story time will take place at the Learning Pavilion in the new Children’s Garden. Story times will take place at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. In between story times kids can create a bookmark. 11:00 – PBJ & Jazz Family Concert in Topiary Park – begin with a story time inside the library at 11:00 AM, continue with a family-friendly jazz concert at 12:00 PM and a craft time at 1:00 PM with CMA. This event is free.

11:00 AM – Delaware Family Festival at Andrews House – this block party features a bounce house, face painting, lawn games, crafts and free lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM!

8:30 PM – DDL Saturday Cinema-July with Destination Downtown Lancaster – enjoy the movie Coco and pre-movie activities beginning 1 hour before the movie.

9:00 AM – Powell Street Market in Downtown Powell – this event features over 100 local vendors, food trucks and family friendly activities! Read about things to do in Powell with your kids.

10:00 AM – Westerville Music & Arts Festival in Heritage Park – The festival takes place July 14th from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM and July 15th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and features art, live music and food! A special Anniversary Concert is taking place on Saturday at 7:30 PM on the Main Stage.

10:00 AM – National Ice Cream Day at Raspados y Nieves La Laguna – celebrate National Ice Cream day at Raspados y Nieves La Laguna! Buy 1 get one half off on all ice cream!

10:00 AM – Buckeye Comic Con at Courtyard Columbus West – this comic book show features special guests, prizes, and free parking. Kids ages 6 and under are free. Admissions $4.

12:00 PM – National Ice Cream Day at Diamonds Ice Cream Hilliard – celebrate National Ice Cream day at Diamonds Hilliard! Buy 2 gourmet popsicles and get the 3rd one free!

12:00 PM – CAC 40th Anniversary Community Celebration at Columbus Cultural Arts Center – celebrate 40 years at The Columbus Cultural Arts Center with food, artwork, demonstrations and special performances. This is a free event!

1:00 PM – Sunny Glen Garden Educational Tour & Children’s Garden Craft Day at Sunny Glen Garden – this event features a children’s garden craft, an open garden tour, garden munchies, door prizes and an optional educational program about organic pest control for $10.

1:30 PM – Cheap Skates at Chiller Ice Rinks – Sundays from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM admission is $5 for all and kids 4 and under are free! Skate rental is $3 for those over 4. All locations.

7:30 PM – Family Movie in the Grandstand: Disney Pixar’s Coco at Franklin County Fair – watch the movie Coco in the Grandstand during Franklin County Fair’s Family Day! The pre-party starts at 8:00 PM, the movie starts at dusk. Free with admission.
