FRIDAY  

10:00 AM – Forest Fridays at Sunbury Urban Farm – this event includes a 30 minute nature activity and free play time in the woods. $5 donation suggested.

10:00 AM – The Science of Big Machines at COSI Columbus’ Dynamic Hands-On Science Center! – climb aboard big machines and construction vehicles and learn about the science and technology of construction vehicles! This event will run through June 23rd! Included in admission and membership.

10:00 AM – Music Class at Hoot Studio – join Miss Marlene – Dance and Sing for a musical class for ages 105. Cost is $15/child, $10 for siblings and includes time in the play area.

10:00 AM – Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons – Commons for Kids offers activities for all ages including carousel rides, inflatables, activities and more! This week’s theme is Safety Day.

12:00 PM – Put- In- Bay Pyrate Fest XI at Put-in-Bay, Ohio – looking for a weekend trip? Head to Put-In-Bay for this family friendly event featuring pirates! There will be contests, a pirate parade, a pirates village, cannon displays and more!

12:00 PM – Columbus Zoo Animals at Experience Columbus – get up close to animals from the Columbus Zoo at the Visitor Center on Nationwide Blvd!

3:30 PM – Family Concert: Howl at the Moon with Tom Sieling at Bexley Public Library – enjoy a family-friendly concert at the library!

4:00 PM – 20th Annual Easton Art Affair at Easton Town Center – head to Easton for a juried fine art show that also includes sculpture, photography, jewelry and more! Something for everyone from fine art to street fair!

5:00 PM – West Columbus Fair 2019 at Westland Mall – this event includes a petting zoo, pig races, a wild tiger exhibit, pony rides and a carnival midway! There will also be a Fearless Flores Thrill Show as seen on America’s Got Talent!

5:00 PM – 2019 Powell Festival presented by Mount Carmel Health in downtown Powell – this two-day festival includes family-friendly entertainment, a kid’s zone, food, fireworks and more!

6:30 PM – Kids Night Out! at Young Chefs Academy of Gahanna – drop your kids off for a hands-on cooking workshop based on a theme. Ages 6 and up. Register online.

7:00 PM – Folk Songs Around the Fire at Gallant Farm Park – singers, musicians and listeners are all welcome to share songs around the fire.

7:00 PM – Friday Night Bandstand in Lancaster – enjoy a live concert in downtown Lancaster!

7:00 PM – Ladies of Longford | Grove City Summer Sizzle Concert Series – enjoy a free concert in the George Edge Music Park! This week’s band performs contemporary Celtic music.

7:30 PM – Popcorn Pops – Dance Party at Columbus Commons – enjoy a family-friendly concert by the Columbus Symphony at Columbus Commons. Tickets available online.

8:00 PM – Free Movie Night: Mary Poppins Returns at Columbus Commons – watch a free showing of Mary Poppins Returns after the Popcorn Pops concert. The movie is free, but the concert is a ticketed event. Bring your own blanket or chair.

8:00 PM – Uptown Movie Series in Westerville, Ohio – watch a movie on City Hall lawn! This week’s movie is A League of Their Own.

8:00 PM – Coyote Campfire at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – learn about coyotes around the campfire.

8:30 PM – Movies at Mingo – Spider-Man at Mingo Park – watch a movie in Mingo Park! The movie starts around 8:30 PM and is Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

8:30 PM – Friday Night Flicks: The Sandlot at Sycamore Park Amphitheater – watch a free movie in the Park! This week’s movie is The Sandlot.

8:45 PM – Family Film Friday in the Park at Sharon Meadows park – this event includes a kid-friendly family film! Popcorn will be available for a $.50 donation. Bring a blanket or chair!

9:00 PM – Summer Movie Series: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone at Highbanks Metro Park – watch Harry Potter on the big screen! The movie begins 30 minutes after dusk. Popcorn will be provided.

SATURDAY

8:00 AM – Walk for Wishes at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium – register for a 1 mile walk to support Make-A-Wish! This is a family-friendly event that benefits kids with serious illnesses in our community! Registration begins at 6:30 AM.

9:00 AM – Alley Crafts Street Fair at Creative Art Bar Hilliard – the Alley Crafts Street Fair benefits Autism Speaks and features over 30 craft and local vendors, sensory play activities, a food truck and more!

10:00 AM – Cartoon Capers at Oho Theatre – watch your favorite Warner Bros. cartoons on the big screen at Ohio Theatre!

10:00 AM – A House Divided at Ohio History Center – this event includes a full Civil War experience with battle demonstrations, reenactments, games, music, dancing, a military parade, tea service, storytelling and much more!

10:00 AM – Birdwatching for Beginners at Grange Insurance Audubon Center – beginning bird watchers can learn tricks to improve their bird watching skills and go on a short hike to bird watch!

Don’t miss the BioBlitz – a hands on learning experience taking place at the event that includes a collaborative race against the clock to discover as many species as possible within the park!

11:00 AM – Fetch A Friend + Made Local Marketplace Adopt and Shop at Franklin County Fairgrounds – this event takes place in The Burke Building and includes the opportunity to shop local vendors AND pets! There will be food trucks, kids activities and a book signing! While shopping and enjoying the activities, you can meet adoptable pets and learn more about the rescues and shelters in attendance!

12:00 PM – Watershed Festival in Mingo Park – learn about land and water stewardship with a guided nature walk, rubber duck race, raffle drawings, canoeing and more! 

12:00 PM – 2019 Powell Festival presented by Mount Carmel Health in downtown Powell – this two-day festival includes family-friendly entertainment, a kid’s zone, food, fireworks and more!

1:00 PM – Open Barn Days 2019 at Sunrise Sanctuary – visit the animals at the sanctuary at their monthly open house. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and children 3 and under are free. Tickets are available in advance.

2:00 PM – West Columbus Fair 2019 at Westland Mall – this event includes a petting zoo, pig races, a wild tiger exhibit, pony rides and a carnival midway! There will also be a Fearless Flores Thrill Show as seen on America’s Got Talent! 

2:00 PM – Creature Feature: Reptiles at Highbanks Metro Park – meet live reptiles and learn how to care for the animals. 

3:00 PM – Snakes & Such Hike at Glacier Ridge Metro Park – take a one mile hike to look for reptiles and amphibians. Ages 5 and up.

6:00 PM – Movie Night in the Shoe – watch “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” in the Shoe! Tickets are $5/person. Proceeds benefit Pelotonia and Team Buckeye. Free parking available.

6:00 PM – 2019 Westerville Jazz Series at Alum Creek Amphitheater – enjoy a live jazz performance! Food trucks will be available.

SUNDAY

2:00 PM – West Columbus Fair 2019 at Westland Mall – this event includes a petting zoo, pig races, a wild tiger exhibit, pony rides and a carnival midway! There will also be a Fearless Flores Thrill Show as seen on America’s Got Talent! 

4:30 PM – Families in the Kitchen at Young Chefs Academy of Gahanna – take an interactive cooking class for kids and adults! $25/person.

6:00 PM – Music in the Garden: Summer ’19 at Olde Towne East Community Gardens – enjoy a live concert in the garden! This weekend’s band is Anna & the Consequences.

6:30 PM – Concerts on the Lawn at Livingston House – enjoy a concert by Agent 99 on the lawn!

7:00 PM – HAC Summer Concert Series: Wood Pickers in Hilliard – this is a family friendly concert that takes place at the Norwich St. Gazebo!
