FRIDAY  

6:30 AM – Ashland BalloonFest at Freer Field – this event in Ashland includes Balloon Glows, races, live performances, sports, exhibits, food and more! There is a kids zone, bumper bubbles, and more!

9:00 AM – Young’s Family Fun Value Independence Week Wristband Special at Young’s Jersey Dairy – head to Young’s Jersey Dairy this weekend for a special price on wristbands for miniature golf, batting cages, driving range and more! Wristbands is $15 for ages 12 and up, $9 for ages 11 and under and is good all day.

9:30 AM – Toddler Play Time – Art Explorers at Creative Art Bar Hilliard – this event for walkers through 5 years old includes 2 hours of sensory-based activities and crafting. Crawlers are free.

9:30 AM – Story Time at Chick-fil-A at Grandview Yard – this story time includes a free coffee for the adult and a free hash brown for each child.

10:00 AM – Forest Fridays at Sunbury Urban Farm – join a naturalist for a 30 minute nature activity and free play time in the woods. All ages welcome. $5 suggested donation.

10:00 AM – Tots on the Trails at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – take a slow paced 1/2 mile hike with your toddler. For ages 1-4.

10:00 AM – Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons – Commons for Kids offers activities for all ages including carousel rides, inflatables, activities and more! This week’s theme is Going Green.

11:00 AM – Pickaway County Touch-a-Truck at Pickaway County Community Action – get up close to trucks, tractors, first responder vehicles, police cars and more! There will be prizes, giveaways and activities for kids.

11:00 AM – Camp Creativity at Michaels Stores – Camp Creativity happens Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and is $3 per session. There is a different theme every week and different crafts every day. Sign up online. This week’s theme is Jungle Journey.

12:00 PM – Mammals of Ohio Display at Highbanks Metro Park – there will be games, activities, videos and displays about mammals at the Nature Center.

5:00 PM – Family Friday Night at COSI – COSI stays open late on the last Friday of the month with reduced admission!

6:00 PM – 4th Fridays on the Lawn at Westerville Public Library – head over to the library during 4th Friday for family-friendly activities. this month’s theme is a safety obstacle course and includes activities that will teach safety skills. 

6:30 PM – Westerville 4th Friday in Uptown Westerville – stroll the streets for special activities, music and businesses that stay open late!

7:00 PM – Friday Night Bandstand in Lancaster – enjoy a live concert in downtown Lancaster!

9:00 PM – Family Camp Out at Sunny 95 Park – this annual event offers the chance to camp out with games and a movie (Small Foot)! Email to reserve a tent!

9:00 PM – Movie in the Park featuring Small Foot at Sunny 95 Park – watch Small Foot in the park! Bring your own chairs or blanket. 

SATURDAY

9:00 AM – Westgate Block Sale – shop the Westgate neighborhood yard sales during the Hilltop Bean Dinner Festival in Westgate Park.

10:00 AM – Birdwatching for Beginners at Grange Insurance Audubon Center – beginning bird watchers can learn tricks to improve their bird watching skills and go on a short hike to bird watch!

10:00 AM – KidX Club at Polaris Fashion Place – Friday mornings include family-friendly activities like face painting, a balloon artist, crafts and more! This week’s theme is The Life of Toys. Your kids’ favorite toy characters will come to life!

10:00 AM – Hilltop Bean Dinner Festival at Westgate Park – this historical festival commemorates the role of the Hilltop in the Civil War and features live music, food, crafts, vendors, a car show and more!

10:00 AM – HOOT 100 at Gateway Film Center – enjoy kid-friendly short films with a Happy Birthday Theme and music from the Shazzbots! There are crafts in the lobby beforehand and admission is free with a canned good donation to the Open Shelter.

11:00 AM – Butterfly Pursuit at Highbanks Metro Park – take a 2.5 mile hike to learn how to identify butterflies!

11:00 AM – Family Hike & Creeking at Prairie Oaks Metro Park – kids of all abilities can explore the creek and enjoy a sensory experience searching for fish, bugs, crawdads and more! Register online for this free event.

12:00 PM – KiDSART at COMFEST – kid friendly events at Comfest include musical performances from Mr. Eric, The Muppet Mayhem Band, The Shazzbots and more. There will be a KiDSART area in the picnic shelter near the playground that will fearuter t-shirt tie-dyeing, sidewalk chalk, a toddlers space, painting, crafts and more. This area will be open Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

12:00 PM – Summer Scavenger Hunt at Homestead Metro Park – pick up a scavenger hunt in the Nature Center and look for signs of animals in the park! Prizes are given for those who find everything!

12:00 PM – International Mud Day at Blendon Woods Metro Park – come celebrate International Mud Day by playing in the mud!

1:00 PM – Feed The Stream at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park – help feed the fish crickets, worms and minnows!

2:00 PM – Built to Bake at Slate Run Metro Park and Living Historical Farm – learn how a wood burning stove works and watch them prepare baked goods at this historical farm!

4:00 PM – Shop Hop and Food Trucks in Grove City – head to Grove City Town Center for food trucks and specials at participating businesses!

4:00 PM – Olentangy Summer Bash at Olentangy High School – this celebration includes live performances, food trucks, family-friendly activities, a kid’s area and a fireworks show. Tickets are available online.

5:00 PM – The Grandview Hop – the Grandview Hop includes live music, shopping, art, food trucks, a beer garden and activities for all!

6:00 PM – Family Fun Night at Highbanks Metro Park – enjoy a campfire and other activities to explore nature.

6:00 PM – 2019 Westerville Jazz Series at Alum Creek Amphitheater – enjoy a free concert in the park along with food trucks!

SUNDAY

6:30 AM – Ashland BalloonFest at Freer Field – this event in Ashland includes Balloon Glows, races, live performances, sports, exhibits, food and more! There is a kids zone, bumper bubbles, and more! There is only the morning flight on Sunday, no other activities.

9:00 AM – Young’s Family Fun Value Independence Week Wristband Special at Young’s Jersey Dairy – head to Young’s Jersey Dairy this weekend for a special price on wristbands for miniature golf, batting cages, driving range and more! Wristbands is $15 for ages 12 and up, $9 for ages 11 and under and is good all day.

11:00 AM – Sunday Sliders Family Sunday at The Draft Room – enjoy free crafts for kids, beer specials and lunch from Star City Sliders.

1:00 PM – Easton’s 20th Anniversary Celebration and Volunteer Fair at Easton Town Center – head to Easton to learn about many non profit organizations who are looking for volunteers! At 3:00 there will be birthday cupcakes and a performance by the Harmony Project.

2:00 PM – For Kids: Scavenger Hunt at Highbanks Metro Park – pick up a scavenger hunt at the nature center and complete it for a small prize. 

3:00 PM – Moana and The Mermaid Fairytale Camp at The Shops at Worthington Place – this camp features dance, singing, crafts, dress up and more! Recommended for ages 4-7. $30/camper. Tickets available online.

4:00 PM – Doggie’s Day Out! at Coffee Connections of Hilliard – this event features a bonfire, homemade dog treats, activities, games and raffles!

6:30 PM – Sounds of Freedom at Alum Creek Park Amphitheater – this free concert will feature Cabot Rea singing patriotic songs accompanied by the Westerville Symphony.
