10:00 AM – Commons for Kids – Pirate Day at Columbus Commons – the first Commons for Kids takes place this week with carousel rides, inflatables, and pirate-themed activities!

11:00 AM – Kid’s Concert on the Green with Endless Recess at Worthington Village Green – enjoy a free kids’ concert on the green with Kona Ice!

11:00 AM – The Columbus Arts Festival at The Scioto Mile – this 3 day festival includes over 250 artists, interactive activities, and 5 stages for music, poetry and dance! There will be food vendors, a Virtual Reality tent and a Hands-On Art Activities Village on the Dorrian Green featuring arts and crafts activities for kids. On Saturday and Sunday kids can visit The Children’s Gallery at the Columbus Arts Festival where kids can buy a piece of art work for $5 or less.

5:00 PM – Family MAKE Week at Michaels Stores – each day this week Michaels is offering a different event for families. This event is free and includes all supplies! Ages 3 and up. Click the link for details.

5:30 PM – Celebrate “Aladdin” Dance & Theatre Camp at The Shops at Worthington Place – enjoy an Aladdin themed n night with crafts, stories, dress up and a meal at Aladdins Eatery! Call to register.

The Credit Union of Ohio Carnival is this Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Hilliard Branch!

This family-friendly event is open to the public and will offer free activities for kids of all ages, including games, prizes, live music, face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, ice cream, water, and a free food item from one of the following food trucks: Angry Wiener, Empanadas & More, and Holy Taco. Be sure to take advantage of a special offer for families who open a Youth Account at the carnival.

Carnival attendees are encouraged to RSVP on Credit Union of Ohio’s event page.

Free parking will be available in the branch parking lot as well as at BMW Financial, just past the branch.

9:00 AM – Yellow Springs Street Fair – the yellow Spring Street Fair features 250 vendors, shops and eateries, and live music!

11:00 AM – Father’s Day Designs at A&R Workshop Grove City – drop in between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to create a make and take project for Father’s Day. Projects starting at $10.

11:00 AM – StoryTrail™ Opening and Founders Day Celebration at The Dawes Arboretum – admission is free all day June 8th as they celebrate the opening of the 2019 StoryTrail. There will be a book giveaway, visitors from Ohio Nature Education , an art installation and tours!

12:00 PM – PBJ & Jazz: Such Sweet Thunder at Topiary Park – this event includes a story time inside the library, a jazz concert and an art activity from Columbus Museum of Art. This week’s performance is by Such Sweet Thunder.

12:00 PM – Marion, Ohio Touch A Truck at Marion Harding High School – take a trip to Marion to see big trucks up close! There will be food, first response vehicles, construction trucks, service providers and more.

2:00 PM – Monster Truck Summer Heat Tour — head to Chillicothe for giant monster trucks, a pit party with a Kid’s Fun Zone, a bounce house and more!

4:00 PM – Second Saturdays at Creekside Gahanna – this event includes Arts in the Alley, live music, food trucks, Meet the Maker and more!

I saw Finding Neverland at the Ohio Theater last night. Definitely not a kid friendly show. It’s the story of how the author wrote Peter Pan, NOT a production of Peter Pan. Most of the children that were there left at intermission.
