9:00 AM – Free Stroller Strides Class and FIT4MOM Birthday Celebration at Thompson Park – celebrate one year of FIT4MOM Upper Arlington with a free Stroller Strides workout and a birthday party in the park with activities, giveaways, crafts and deals for new members!

9:00 AM – May’s Summer Special at Tree of Life Play + Cafe – receive half of admission every Friday in May when your kid wears his or her favorite jimmies!

9:30 AM – Preschoolers at Highbanks Metro Park – stop in to the Nature Center to learn about flowers through stories and crafts. Afterwards they will take a walk to look for flowers in the park.

10:00 AM – Operation Kidsafe Event at Kid’s Gym – Polaris – come to Toddler Time to get your kids finger printed and a get a free photo ID card and learn about kid safety. There will be coloring books and other fun activities.

10:00 AM – Nutt and Bolt – Theatre for the Very Young at Columbus Children’s Theatre – this 30 minute play is perfect for kids ages 2-6! Nutt and Bolt are two robots who like to dance, build towers and create new machines together!

10:00 AM – Zoo Babies presented by First Financial Bank at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden – like baby animals? Take a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo to search out six-foot-tall stork statues that will be leading visitors to all of the the baby animals that have been born at the zoo recently! Included in admission.

10:00 AM – Friends of the Upper Arlington Library Book Sale – thousands of books, videos and other items are on sale through May 19th in the atrium of the UA Main Library!

10:30 AM – Sound the Alarms! at Pickerington Main Library – meet a local firefighter, hear stories and learn about fire safety!

3:00 PM – Turtles & Turtle Sundaes at Sticky Fingers Ice Cream Parlor – Preservation Parks of Delaware County will be on site with live turtles to meet!

4:00 PM – Lancaster Community Days Festival at Lancaster Ohio Community Days Festival – this community festival includes rides, food, and a live performance by a Bon Jovi tribute band on Saturday! Admission is $2 for adults and kids 17 and under are free. 

6:00 PM – Franklinton Fridays at 400 West Rich – head to Franklinton where the galleries stay open late with local vendors, food trucks and more!

6:30 PM – Kids Night Out! at Young Chefs Academy of Gahanna – drop your kids off to learn how to cook! This weekend’s theme is Mother’s Day. For ages 5 and up. Register online.

7:00 PM – Haroun and the Sea of Stories at Columbus School for Girls by CATCO for Kids – – this play is the story of Haroun, who sets off on an adventure filled with talking animals and magicians!

7:00 PM – Bishop Hartley High School presents “James and the Giant Peach” at Columbus Performing Arts Center – watch Bishop Hartley High School perform James and the Giant Peach!

SATURDAY

8:30 AM – Moms Get In Free for Mother’s Day at The Farm at Walnut Creek – all mothers will get free admission on Saturday only.

9:00 AM – West Gate Masonic Lodge Community Breakfast at West Gate Lodge No.623 F&AM – enjoy a large breakfast for a cause – $6 for adults and $3 for children and the proceeds benefit Special Olympics.

9:00 AM – Mother’s Day Stroller Strides Class at Highbanks Metro Park – join FIT4MOM Columbus North for a workout, snacks and a Mommy and Me photo session. Your first workout with FIT4MOM is free.

9:30 AM – Mommy and Me Picnic at Highbanks Metro Park – enjoy coffee and treats plus Mommy and Me photos. There will also be a chance to win prizes from Shred415.

10:00 AM – Mother’s Day Weekend at Franklin Park Conservatory – enjoy several activities throughout the weekend including releasing a butterfly, decorating a planter for mom, meeting animals from the Columbus Zoo and shopping the Mother’s Day Patio Sale!

10:00 AM – Mother’s Day Workshop at Columbus Printed Arts – learn how to carve styrofoam blocks to make relief prints and play with other printmaking techniques to create gifts for mom! Recommended for ages 3 and up. Snacks will be provided. Ticket sales end Thursday at 11:59 PM.
