These events are in chronological order. Ongoing events are listed first. If an event happens multiple times during a weekend, it will be listed in the order of its first occurrence, so make sure to read through the whole list! Have a great weekend!

1. Unofficial Galaxies at COSI

Unofficial Galaxies is one of the largest Star Wars fan collections in the world and it will be on display at COSI now through September 1, 2025. General Admission and Live Shows tickets are required to experience Unofficial Galaxies.

2. Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects at Franklin Park Conservatory

This temporary, special exhibit includes horticulture displays made from LEGO bricks! It will be on display throughout the conservatory until September 7, 2025. See my Reel on Instagram for more info!

3. Blooms and Butterflies at Franklin Park Conservatory

Visit the Pacific Island Water Garden between now and July 6th to walk amongst the butterflies! You can also view butterflies emerging from their chrysalises in the Metamorphosis Lab. This activity is available during regular hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and is included in admission.

4. Drawing Game Show at Columbus Metropolitan Library Branches

Play Drawing PLINKO and spin the Wheel of Crazy to create characters on Friday. There will be several opportunities for this activity on Friday: (10:00 AM and 11:00 AM at the Hilliard Branch and 2:00 PM at the Driving Park Branch)

5. Commons for Kids

On Friday mornings from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Columbus Commons, enjoy free kid-friendly activities including lawn games, carousel rides, face painting, and educational activities from community partners. This Friday’s theme is Celebrate Summer.

6. Family Adventures at Columbus Museum of Art

Kids ages 5-12 and their caregivers can go on a specialty tour at the Columbus Museum of Art that includes storytelling and play on Friday at 10:30 AM. Register online. Registration is free for members.

7. The Artmobile at the Hilltop Library

Enjoy an art-making experience inspired by books with The Artmobile at the Hilltop Branch of CML on Friday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

8. Friday Night Flicks at Easton Town Center

Friday Night Flicks take place on the Town Square at Easton Town Center each Friday night in June. Entertainment begins at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. This weekend’s movie is Encanto.

9. Free Family Movie Night at Columbus Commons

Watch the movie Inside Out at Columbus Commons on Friday at 7:00 PM. Free popcorn while supplies last.

10. Heroes vs Villains: Teen Revue 2025

Watch a musical revue featuring songs, scenes and choreography from your favorite Heroes and Villains presented by teens at the Hillard Arts Council on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available online.

11. The Very Hungry Caterpillar at Columbus Children’s Theatre

Kids can enjoy a 30-minute interactive showing of The Very Hungry Caterpillar at Columbus Children’s Theater on Saturday and Sunday. Show times are 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM on both days.

12. Saturday Morning Storytime at Cover to Cover

Head to Cover to Cover for a storytime every Saturday at 10:00 AM. Pefect for ages 4 and under.

13. Cartoon Capers at Ohio Theatre

Enjoy your favorite classic cartoons on the big screen at the Ohio Theatre on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Tickets are available online.

14. Polinator Palooza at Franklin Park Conservatory

Celebrate pollinators at this festival at Franklin Park Conservatory on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This is a free event that takes place at the Community Garden Campus, southeast of the Conservatory. There will be educational booths, food demonstrations, vendors, artist demonstrations, live music, The Bugman, food trucks, and more! Pick up a Pollinator Passport to get stamped at each station.

15. KidX Touch-A-Truck at Polaris Fashion Place

On Saturday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the outdoor Polaris Lifestyle Center (near Benihana), enjoy a KidX Touch-A-Truck event with food trucks, family fun, and a firetruck visit from 1–2PM! Kids in attendance will get a coupon from I Scream Gelato and California Pizza Kitchen.

16. Juneteenth Ohio Festival at Genoa Park

This festival in Genoa Park celebrates Juneteenth with a career fair, marketplace, Children’s Underground Railroad Journey, classic car show, live performances and more! The festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Activities begin at 12:00 PM each day. Admission is $20 after 3:00 PM.

17. Juneteenth on the Ave

Juneteenth on the Ave takes place on Saturday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Mt. Vernon Ave. It will include live entertainment, food trucks, a vendor marketplace, live art and pictures with Dad!

18. June Open Barn at Sunrise Sanctuary

Sunrise Sanctuary opens once a month for tours and an opportunity to meet the animals! Visit this Saturday between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Tickets are required and available online.

19. Celebrating Pollinators at Slate Run Farm

Celebrate National Pollinator Month at Slate Run Farm on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. There will be information about beekeeping, gardening and the importance of pollinators in our world.

20. Summer Nature Crafts at Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Enjoy simple summer-themed crafts at the Nature Center at Blacklick Woods on Saturday between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

21. Come On, Barbie, Let’s Go Party at Old Worthington Library

Bring your own Barbie to this event at Old Worthington Library on Saturday at 2:00 PM. There will be career-themed games and accessory crafting activities for your Barbie!

22. Family Tram Rides at Blendon Woods Metro Park

Take a 30-minute, narrated tour of Blendon Woods Metro Park on Saturday and Sunday between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The last tram departs from the Nature Center at 6:00 PM.

23. 90th Anniversary Bash at Olentangy Caverns

Celebrate 90 years of Olentangy Caverns with food trucks, cotton candy, live music by Mr. E and The Shazzbots, free balloon animals, and airbrush tattoos on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

24. Family Sundays at Land-Grant

Family Sunday at Land-Grant includes free face painting, coloring pages, a kids’ menu at Ray Ray’s BBQ, Hawaiian shave ice, and an outdoor showing of the movie Frozen. This event is from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sunday.

25. Films for Families at The Wex

The Wex is offering family-friendly movies during the month of June for just $3 per person! This weekend’s movie is Christopher Robin and it will be shown on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Tickets are available online.

26. STEAM Sundays at Cover to Cover

On Sunday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM enjoy STEAM-focused activities at Cover to Cover including special guests and experts. Best for ages 5 and up.

27. Adventure of the Missing Color: Science Show at Westerville Public Library

Science Heroes will present experiments that explore colors, light patterns and more on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM at Westerville Public Library. Suitable for ages 4-11.

28. Let’s Get Crafty! Show Local Kids You Care with Seeds of Caring

In this FREE activity from Seeds of Caring, kids 6-12 will share kindness by creating messages of caring for United Way of Central Ohio’s Stuff The Backpack program. Perfect for groups, teams, and families, this Anywhere Project can be done at home, camp, or wherever you are through July 31!
