These events are in chronological order. Ongoing events are listed first. If an event happens multiple times during a weekend, it will be listed in the order of its first occurrence, so make sure to read through the whole list! Have a great weekend!

1. Unofficial Galaxies at COSI

Unofficial Galaxies is one of the largest Star Wars fan collections in the world and it will be on display at COSI now through September 1, 2025. General Admission and Live Shows tickets are required to experience Unofficial Galaxies.

2. Blooms and Butterflies at Franklin Park Conservatory

Visit the Pacific Island Water Garden between now and July 6th to walk amongst the butterflies! You can also view butterflies emerging from their chrysalises in the Metamorphosis Lab. This activity is available during regular hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and is included in admission.

3. Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects at Franklin Park Conservatory

This temporary, special exhibit includes horticulture displays made from LEGO bricks! It will be on display throughout the conservatory until September 7, 2025. See my Reel on Instagram for more info!

Calling all Dinosaur-loving kids: The sandbox has been taken over by dinosaurs! From June 24-30, Little Diggers Playspace in Dublin (6327 Sawmill Rd, Dublin, OH 43017) is hosting a Dino Dig Experience complete with dinosaur-themed sensory tables to explore and dinosaurs of all sizes throughout the playspace. No registration required, just walk in and play!

4. Calling All Artists: Show Local Kids You Care with Seeds of Caring

In this FREE activity from Seeds of Caring, kids 6-12 will create messages of caring for United Way of Central Ohio’s Stuff The Backpack program. Perfect for groups, teams, and families, this Anywhere Project can be done at home, camp, or wherever you are through July 31!

5. Dino Dig Experience at Little Diggers Playspace

From June 24-30, Little Diggers Playspace in Dublin is hosting a Dino Dig Experience complete with dinosaur-themed sensory tables to explore and dinosaurs of all sizes throughout the playspace. No registration required, just walk in and play! Hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day.

6. Seussical the Musical at Franklin Park Amphitheatre

Thursday through Sunday at 7:30 PM each night you can watch a performance of Seussical the Musical at Franklin Park Amphitheatre. This show features some of Dr. Seuss’ most famous characters in a musical performed by local adults, kids and teens.

7. Commons for Kids

On Friday mornings from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Columbus Commons, enjoy free kid-friendly activities including lawn games, carousel rides, face painting, and educational activities from community partners. This Friday’s theme is Imagination.

8. Sing Along Animal Party with Mister E at Hilliard Library

Enjoy singing, dancing and playing at this interactive music program with an animal theme at the Hilliard Branch of CML on Friday at 10:00 AM. The program will repeat at 11:00 AM.

9. Tots on Trails at Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Toddlers and their caregivers can go on a slow-paced, half-mile hike at Blacklick Woods on Friday at 10:00 AM. Ages 2-5. Meet at the Nature Center.

10. Baby Bubble Play Party at Parsons Library

Drop into the Parsons Branch of CML for a bubble party featuring sensory play and music. This will take place outside on Friday from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Ideal for ages 3 and under.

11. ComFest at Goodale Park

ComFest takes place in Goodale Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For kids there will be family-friendly music on Saturday and Sunday on the Live Arts Stage, a Scavenger Hunt Mission, and a Kids Art section at the corner of Goodale and Dennison Ave near the playground on Saturday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. and a KiDS Parade on Sunday at 3:00 PM.

12. Conservatory Explore: Brick Nights at Franklin Park Conservatory

Head to Franklin Park Conservatory for a special after-hours experience with a Super Heroes theme. Build with LEGO bricks, be part of a mosaic building project and celebrate your favorite comic book heroes and villains. This event takes place on Friday from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and tickets are required.

13. Friday Night Flicks at Easton Town Center

Friday Night Flicks take place on the Town Square at Easton Town Center each Friday night in June. Entertainment begins at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. This weekend’s movie is Moana 2.

14. Pollinators Party at Dutch Mill Greenhouse

From 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, celebrate Pollinators at Dutch Mill Greenhouse with a scavenger hunt and coloring sheets for kids, sales and a Perennial Walk & Talk at 10:30 AM.

15. Saturday Morning Storytime at Cover to Cover

Head to Cover to Cover for a storytime every Saturday at 10:00 AM. Pefect for ages 4 and under.

16. National Day of Play at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Drop into the Nature Center at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park for chalk, yard games and more on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

17. Groovy Plants Ranch’s Classic Car Cruise-In

On Saturday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM enjoy a classic car show at Groovy Plants Ranch. There will be a live DJ, food and drinks available for purchase, door prizes and more!

18. National Day of Play at Glacier Ridge Metro Park

Stop by the Wind & Solar Lot at Glacier Ridge Metro Park on Saturday between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to make your own tree ID book, participate in drip races and count the rings on trees.

19. Films for Families at The Wex

The Wex is offering family-friendly movies during the month of June for just $3 per person! This weekend’s movie is Good Morning, and it will be shown on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Tickets are available online.

20. National Day of Play at Quarry Trails Metro Park

Meet at the Kingfisher Shelter for cornhole, a campfire, fishing, archery and more at Quarry Trails Metro Park on Saturday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

21. Grandview Hop

On Saturday from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, head to Grandview Ave for live music, local shopping, art, food trucks and fun activities for kids!

22. Cinema Saturday at Riverside Crossing Park

Watch an outdoor movie at Riverside Crossing Park on Saturday. The first movie is Mufasa, The Lion King beginning at 6:00 PM and the second is M3gan, beginning at 8:15 PM.

23. Let’s Glow! at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

On Saturday from 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM, learn about fireflies and go on a guided 1-mile hike with glow sticks to search for them. Meet at the Ranger Station.

24. Early Member Mornings at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

On Sunday (and Monday) the Columbus Zoo will open at 8:00 AM for members only. There will be giveaways, games, prizes, character ambassadors, $3 off ZooMore wristbands and early access to exhibits.

25. STEAM Sundays at Cover to Cover

On Sunday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM enjoy STEAM-focused activities at Cover to Cover including special guests and experts. Best for ages 5 and up.

26. Bobby Norfolk Presents Drums and Music of Africa at Driving Park Library

Enjoy a performance by Bobby Norfolk featuring high-energy music, history and stories at the Driving Park Branch of CML on Sunday at 2:00 PM.

27. Insect Safari at Blendon Woods Metro Park

On Sunday at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park kids can learn about insects and take nets and jars into the field to hunt for them on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Meet at the Nature Center.
