If your kids love LEGOs, you’re gonna want to check out the Think Outside the Brick exhibit at Columbus Museum of Art!

This annual exhibit is only on display until February 26, 2017 and would make a great outing for winter break! In collaboration with Ohio LEGO User’s Group, the exhibit is a display of downtown Columbus, with some fun liberties taken! 😉 See for yourself:

There’s really so much to see! You don’t have to be a LEGO lover to enjoy this display! On the walls of the room, the museum has listed some scenes to look for and find: a group of samurai warriors, a dragon chasing bicyclists and a horse at the drive in! My kids love the guy who got rolled up in a tire at the tire shop, the LEGO version of Barnes and Noble and a man riding an ostrich!

If you have train lovers, there are trains here too, as well as a fire station, a police station, a zombie scene and a holiday tree farm, just to name a few!

Throughout the rest of the museum, the OhioLUG members have created 7 Pokemon models to be found! As part of the scavenger hunt, you can post a picture of them online with the hashtag #mycma !

After seeing the display, don’t miss the Creativity Lounge on the other end of the hallway. There you can make your own creation out of white LEGOs and put it on display against the black wall!

Round out the day with a trip to the Wonder Room, where kids can make bird nests, do puzzles, build creations out of cardboard and lots more!
