Spring is in the air – or at least in our hearts, right?  We’re starting to think flowers and Easter and little baby chicks!  I’m feeling warmer already!  I hope you enjoy your weekend with your kids!

1.  Kids Carnival at Whole Foods Market, Dublin

Kids carnival with balloon animals, face painting, games and prizes! Make clown faces out of veggies and enjoy the musical stylings of Robyn Jackson. Cost is $5 to play, all proceeds benefit the Whole Planet Foundation!

2.  The Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens EXPO

When:  Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6, 2016
Time: Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

A variety of kids and teen sporting events, clinics, demonstrations and vender booths. Admission is included with the Daily EXPO Ticket.

3.  Orchids on Display at the Franklin Park Conservatory

When: through Sunday, March 6, 2016

This is the LAST weekend to view the orchids on display throughout the Franklin Park Conservatory. Saturday includes family friendly activities like making a paper orchid and exploring the enchanted forest!

4.  Make Mine Chocolate! at Eagle Family Candy Company, LLC

Free Crimson Cup coffee and juice, chocolate samples, coloring and crafts at this event to support local rescue rabbits and the Columbus House Rabbit Rescue. Solid chocolate bunnies will be for sale to encourage giving chocolate or plush bunnies instead of a live rabbit for easter.

5.  Chat about Chicks

Learn all about chicks from a Bring the Farm to You representative.  The chicks will be hatching at the library and you can check on their progress throughout March and April!

Here are five things you can do with your kids this weekend!

1.  Make a Valentine’s Mailbox at Home Depot

Date: Saturday, February 6, 2016

Cost: Free

Build a wooden Valentines mailbox to hold all your child’s valentine cards from their favorite friends. After the mailbox is built, your child can personalize their project with paint. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.  Kids Workshop activities are scheduled on a first come/first served basis. Please do not arrive before 9:00 a.m.

2.  Disney on Ice – Let’s Celebrate!

COSI offers extended hours (open until 9PM!) and price reduced admission to families so you can visit, learn, and play late! General admission is only $11 after 5pm and includes all of COSI’s permanent exhibitions. (Free for members.)

4.  Pre-K Storytime at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park

Join one of our dynamic volunteers for Preschool Story Time at 10am on Thursday and Saturday mornings. Enjoy a nature based story in our beautiful library and bird viewing room. After the story your little ones can romp and play in the Forest Room where they can dress up like birds, play with puppets and climb into the tree tops in our forest.

These are drop-in programs, registration is not required.
