You’ve got to love a weekend that ends with the first day of spring!  Congrats, fellow parents, we’ve made it!!  Special events really start to pick up around Columbus in the spring and summer and this weekend begins the Easter Egg Hunt season (is that a thing?).  Makes sure you read to the end for some upcoming freebies!  Enjoy!

1.  Annual Easter Egg Hunts on the Mini Golf Courses at both Magic Mountain Locations

When, Saturday, March 19, 2016

Location:  Magic Mountain Polaris and Magic Mountain East

Bring your own basket for this egg hunt on the mini golf course!  $4 Admission also includes a visit from the Easter Bunny and kid friendly games!  Also available is the option to stay and play at the Egg Hunt Special including unlimited mini golf, go-karts and laser tag from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM!  Guests 12 and under: $10  Guests 13 and over: $15

3.  Batman v. Superman Day at your local Barnes and Noble

Barnes and Noble hosts a trivia event to celebrate the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice including prizes and giveaways.  This event is geared toward teens and adults, but is family friendly.

4.  Aladdin Shrine Circus at the Ohio Expo Center

66th Annual Aladdin Shrine Circus takes place this weekend!  Featuring the Aladdin Shrine Clowns, Fuzzy and Toots!  Children 12 and under are half price.  Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

5.  Saturday Story Stomp!

Spring is in the air – or at least in our hearts, right?  We’re starting to think flowers and Easter and little baby chicks!  I’m feeling warmer already!  I hope you enjoy your weekend with your kids!

1.  Kids Carnival at Whole Foods Market, Dublin

3.  Orchids on Display at the Franklin Park Conservatory

This is the LAST weekend to view the orchids on display throughout the Franklin Park Conservatory. Saturday includes family friendly activities like making a paper orchid and exploring the enchanted forest!

4.  Make Mine Chocolate! at Eagle Family Candy Company, LLC

Free Crimson Cup coffee and juice, chocolate samples, coloring and crafts at this event to support local rescue rabbits and the Columbus House Rabbit Rescue. Solid chocolate bunnies will be for sale to encourage giving chocolate or plush bunnies instead of a live rabbit for easter.

3.  Family Friday Night at COSI

COSI offers extended hours (open until 9PM!) and price reduced admission to families so you can visit, learn, and play late! General admission is only $11 after 5pm and includes all of COSI’s permanent exhibitions. (Free for members.)

4.  Pre-K Storytime at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park

Join one of our dynamic volunteers for Preschool Story Time at 10am on Thursday and Saturday mornings. Enjoy a nature based story in our beautiful library and bird viewing room. After the story your little ones can romp and play in the Forest Room where they can dress up like birds, play with puppets and climb into the tree tops in our forest.

These are drop-in programs, registration is not required.
