2. Read it, Make it, Eat it – The Very Hungry Caterpillar at PARTY Like It’s Your Birthday

Each week there will be a story time, crafts and snack based on a theme! This week is The Very Hungry Caterpillar! $15/child. Recommend for ages 2-5.

3. Family Friday Night at COSI

When: Friday, February 23, 2018

On the last Friday of each month, COSI offers extended hours (open until 9PM!) and price reduced admission to families so you can visit, learn, and play late! General admission Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for youth and includes all of COSI’s permanent exhibitions plus a movie in the National Geographic Giant Screen Theater! (Free for members.)

4. Open Lab at The Simplr STEAM Playground

Kids ages 5-14 can explore the Simplr STEAM Playground with guidance from instructors on site. This is an open play time where kids can check out the latest gadgets, robots, LEGOs, 3D printing, Minecraft and more! Children can be dropped off and picked up by 7:00 PM. Cost is $15 for non-members and $12 for members.

5. Parent’s Night Out at We Rock the Spectrum – Columbus

Drop the kids off for a “date night”! There will be games, pizza and open play! You must call to register in advance. $30 for the first child and $20 for additional children.

6. Waffle Bar! at Coffee Connections of Hilliard

6. Project SKD Healthy Food for All at Mid-Ohio Foodbank

This service learning project involves learning about food insecurity in our own city through learning activities, a service project and a tour of Mid-Ohio Food Bank!  There is a discussion activity to do with your family before hand! This event is free but you must register by Thursday!

7. Saturday Studio Art: Whimsical Snowflakes at Art With Anna

8. Kids Day at the Dispatch Home and Garden Show

The Home and Garden Show is going on through Sunday, February 25th, but Saturday is Kids Day! On with special activities for kids will be Legoland Discovery Center, ID’s for kids, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Ohio Wildlife Center, Lowe’s, and more! Show your library card and get $3 off admission! After 4:00 PM you can get 2 for 1 admission by showing your library card at the ticket window! On Sunday, check out the Arts Fest Pop UP!

11. Tree Tappers Community Festival at Camp Ken-Jockety & The Elam Environmental Center

Learn how maple syrup is made, go for a hike, enjoy crafts and sweet treats at this family day! $5/person. There’s also an all you can eat pancake breakfast for an additional cost!

If you’re on the east side of Columbus, it might be worth a drive to Newark for this special comedy event from The Spoon Man! Also learn about food science, do food projects and shop at the Winter Book Sale or Winter Farmer’s Market!

14. First Responder Face Off at The Schottenstein Center

The Columbus Fire Department battles the Columbus Police Department in this hockey face off! Your ticket is good for this game AND Ohio State vs. Wisconsin. Ticket sales benefit the First Responder Face-Off Foundation. In addition, there will be a display of emergency and SWAT vehicles, K9 and horse mounted patrol and more in the Northeast Plaza of the Schottenstein Center. Tickets are available online.

15. Mister G at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus

All are welcome to attend this performance by Mister G, a Latin Grammy winner who has been called a “kid-friendly bilingual rock star” by The Washington Post! Tickets are $15/family online or $20/family at the door! Purim Palooza activities will follow the concert at 11:30 AM!

16. Cooking Class–Kitchen Science/Pavlovas at 1400 Food Lab

There are two sessions for this kid’s cooking class featuring pavlovas! The 12:00 class is for ages 4-7 and the 1:00 class is for ages 6 and up. Email to reserve your spot!
