FRIDAY:

10:00 AM – Teacher Appreciation Month at Legoland Discovery Center (Columbus) – teachers can show their school ID or pay stub and receive free admission to LEGOLAND through August 31! Up to 6 friends or family can visit with you and receive $10 off standard admission!

3:30 PM – Open Gaming for Kids and Teens at Bexley Public Library – youth ages 8-18 can play video games on a big screen, minecraft, board games, card games and more! 

4:00 PM – S’miles of Sunflowers at Lynd’s New Farm “Lynd’s Patch on 37” – This festival is happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Explore 10 acres of sunflowers, enjoy a wagon ride, cut your own flowers, a barrel train, photo ops, live music, concessions, food trucks, backyard games, a kids tent and more! Tickets are available online or at the gate.

4:00 PM – African American Cultural Festival at Mayme Moore Park – this free festival features spoken word and dance performances, drum circles, live music, visual artists, a kids’ fun zone, health and wellness activities, educational opportunities and more!

6:00 PM – 4th Friday in Uptown Westerville – stroll the streets for special activities, music and businesses that stay open late! This month’s theme is Dog Days of Summer.

6:00 PM – 4th Fridays on the Lawn at Westerville Public Library  – enjoy a family-friendly activity on the front lawn of the library during Uptown Westerville’s 4th Friday! This month includes an informal dog show! Register your pet or stuffed animal between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The show begins at 6:00 PM.

6:00 PM- Friday Night Float at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a canoe out on the lake, all equipment provided! Kids must be able to fit into a life jacket to ride.

6:30 PM – Family Night Out at Goldfish Swim School Dublin – this night is free for Members and includes an open swim. Non-members are $5/person or $15/family. First come first serve in the pool.

7:00 PM – Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. at Columbus Performing Arts Center – watch Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland adapted for kids: a fast paced story with updated songs from the Disney movie!

8:45 PM – Lights, Cameras, Movies at Polaris Fashion Place – watch a free movie in the Polaris Lifestyle Center, bring a blanket or chairs. This week’s movie is Shrek.

9:30 AM – Saturday Studio Art // Recycled Robot at Art with Anna – kids ages 4 and up can make a recycled robot! Register online. $20/student.

10:00 AM – Mud & Madness at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – all ages can navigate a 1.5 mile fun and muddy obstacle course! Bring a towel!

10:00 AM – Storytime LIVE! Hang Out with Curious George and Pinkalicious at Kiddie Academy of Hilliard – enjoy a story time with Curious George and Pinkalicious! This is a free event but you need to RSVP online.

11:00 AM – Annual General Mayhem at BrewDog – this is a family-friendly event that includes, live music, craft beer, food trucks, games, and more! There will be shuttles from Columbus to the brewery in Canal Winchester available. Tickets available online. Use the code BREWDOGFAM for 50% off!

11:00 AM – Butterfly Pursuit at Highbanks Metro Park – take a 2.5 mile hike to learn how to identify butterflies!

12:00 PM – Kids’ Weekend at Cabela’s – this event features a blow-up archery range for ages 4-12, a photo booth, crafts, archery workshop and more!

1:00 PM – For Families: Tram Ride at Highbanks Metro Park – hop aboard the tram for a ride around the park.

3:00 PM – Young Explorers: Nature Photography 101 at Homestead Metro Park – kids ages 8-12 can bring their own camera or smart phone to walk through the park learning to take the perfect picture!

3:00 PM – Fun in the Mud at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – splash in the mud and try out the obstacle course! Ages 3-12.

6:00 PM – Music in the Garden: Summer ’19 at Olde Towne East Community Gardens – enjoy a concert by Carter & Cash – TC2 in the Garden on Oak St.
