10:00 AM – Young’s Labor Day Family Value Weekend at Young’s Jersey Dairy – this weekend only, take advantage of the Family Value wristband which is good for all day and unlimited fun at Young’s Dairy! The wristband included unlimited play at Udders & Putters, batting cages, driving range, Moovers & Shakers, Cowvin’s Fast Slide, Cowvin’s Kiddie Corral, Cowvin’s Corny Maze and Wagon Rides! $15 for ages 12 and up, $9 for 11 and under.

10:00 AM – Tots on the Trails at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – take a slow-paced hike with your toddler. Ages 1-4.

10:00 AM – Teacher Appreciation Month at Legoland Discovery Center (Columbus) – teachers can show their school ID or pay stub and receive free admission to LEGOLAND through August 31! Up to 6 friends or family can visit with you and receive $10 off standard admission!

11:00 AM – Apple Picking at Cherry Hawk Farm – apples available to pick over Labor Day Weekend will be Macintosh, Honeycrisp (beginning the 31st) and Gala!

11:00 AM – Columbus Greek Festival – this festival celebrates Greek culture and takes place all weekend featuring dancing, live music, vendors, food, live performances, educational opportunities and more! Admission is $5 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Admission is good for the entire weekend after you visit once!

5:00 PM – Obetz Zucchini Festival at Fortress Obetz – this festival celebrates all things zucchini and features live music, a car show, parade, free concerts, and Kids Day on Monday!

5:00 PM – Family Friday Night at COSI – COSI stays open late on the last Friday of the month with reduced admission!

6:00 PM – An Evening of Dance with BalletMet at Bicentennial Park Scioto Mile – watch a performance by BalletMet outside on the Scioto Mile. This will be a preview of the 2019/20 season!

6:00 PM – Movie Night at Deer Haven Park – watch the movie JAWS beginning at 9:00 PM. Enjoy activities and get some Sticky Fingers ice cream before the movie starts!

7:00 PM – St Michael Festival 2019 – this annual event takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes live music, a silent auction and casino, kiddie land, carnival rides, bake sale and more!

Take a tour through the cave where Native Americans once lived. Mine for gems in the running water sluice. Hunt for treasure in Ohio’s only Treasure Hunt Maze. 8:00 AM – Summer Bird Walks at Emily Traphagen Park – all skill levels are welcome at this walk to look for birds. Ages 7 and up.

9:00 AM – Hills Famous $5 Pancake Breakfast at Hills Market – on Saturdays and Sundays you can get 2 pancakes, sausage links and coffee for $5!

9:00 AM – Honeycrisp Picking at Branstool Orchards – Honeycrisp apples will be available to pick as well as several other varieties.

11:00 AM – Columbus Greek Festival – this festival celebrates Greek culture and takes place all weekend featuring dancing, live music, vendors, food, live performances, educational opportunities and more! Admission is $5 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Admission is good for the entire weekend after you visit once!

11:00 AM – Celebrate Pollinators Day at Branstool Orchards – celebrate Pollinators Day with honey samples and education, learning about the Monarch Butterfly, painting rocks, plant sales and more!

11:00 AM – Ohio Wildlife Center at Franklin Park Conservatory – visit with a representative and animal resident from Ohio Wildlife Center. Included with admission or membership.

12:00 PM – Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival in Historic Downtown Canal Winchester – this festival is free to attend and features live music, a farmer’s market, car show, quilt show, rides and games, food, zoo animals, COSI Science Spots, an ice cream social, parade and more! On Saturday, kids ride free from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

12:00 PM – World of Water Closing Weekend at Shale Hollow Park – learn the science behind storms! There will be a visit from COSI, a 5 ft wind tube and more!

12:00 PM – West Jefferson Ox Roast – this annual event takes place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and includes food vendors, a parade (on Saturday), contests, live music, kiddie tractor pull, a car show, rides and more!

5:00 PM – The Grandview Hop in Grandview Heights – this free event features live music, vendors and activities along Grandview Ave.!

5:00 PM – St Michael Festival 2019 – this annual event takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes live music, a silent auction and casino, kiddie land, carnival rides, bake sale and more! 

5:30 PM – Free Concert featuring St. Paul and the Broken Bones at Columbus Commons – head to the Columbus Commons for a free concert! A bar and food trucks will be available. 

SUNDAY

10:00 AM – Community Days at Franklin Park Conservatory – on the first Sunday of each month, the Conservatory is free for residents of Franklin County and the City of Columbus (with valid ID) during regular operating hours of 10am to 5pm.

2:00 PM – For Families: Tram Ride at Highbanks Metro Park – hop aboard the tram for a ride around the park.

2:00 PM – Monarch Mania at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – take a 2 mile walk to look for migrating butterflies and caterpillars. All ages.

3:00 PM – Labor Day Block Party in Bexley – this community event features a touch-a-truck, rock wall, live music, food, and more and flows into Bexley’s Main Event featuring the movie Star Wars – The Last Jedi at 8:15 PM.

4:00 PM – Family Creeking Adventure at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park – explore the Big Darby Creek looking for fish, bugs and other creatures!

5:00 PM – St Michael Festival 2019 – this annual event takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes live music, a silent auction and casino, kiddie land, carnival rides, bake sale and more! 

7:00 PM – Main Event in Bexley – watch the movie Star Wars – The Last Jedi on Capital University’s Main Lawn.

MONDAY – Labor Day

10:00 AM – Labor Day Scavenger Hunt at Sharon Woods Metro Park – pick up a scavenger hunt in the Naturalist Office and return it completed for a prize!

On Saturday, kids ride free from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

11:00 AM – Labor Day Weekend Sale & Block Party Celebration at Tanger Outlets, Columbus – shop at the Tanger Outlets while also enjoy free lawn games, face painting and balloon art, a photo booth and food trucks!

1:00 PM – Bug Out at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park – explore and catch insects! All ages.

2:00 PM – For Families: Go Creeking at Highbanks Metro Park – explore the Olentangy River looking for animals.

2:00 PM – Monarch Monday at Blendon Woods Metro Park – learn about Monarch Butterflies and their epic journey. Meet at the Nature Center.
