1. Uplift Frontline Workers with Seeds of Caring 

This is an activity that can be done from home at anytime before January 31, 2021. Your family can create “cheer cards” and mail them to frontline healthcare workers at Mt. Carmel. This is a free opportunity. When you register you will receive an service project packet that will give you instructions and guided discussion ideas.

2. Half Priced Admission at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

From January 4-February 28, 2021, admission is half priced to Columbus Zoo! The Zoo will be open from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM daily. At this time, timed tickets are not required though capacity is limited.

3. Drawing with Sheldon the Snail and Grandview Heights Public Library

Join Miss Jean and Sheldon the Snail for a drawing time hosted by Grandview Heights Public Library on Facebook live! The event will be 15 minutes long and will start on Friday at 10:30 AM.

4. Conservatory Aglow at Franklin Park Conservatory

Enjoy the amazing decorations at Franklin Park Conservatory that extend into the Children’s Garden and the Grand Mallway. There is a special Candy Land exhibit with a life-sized gingerbread house! There is a special engagement rate for this event and members receive 50% off. You must have a pre-purchased ticket for this event. This event takes place each evening from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM though January 10, 2020.

5. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Storytime (Livestream with Westerville Public Library)

On Saturday at 10:00 AM join in with Westerville Public Library for Daniel Tiger stories, visits with friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and bonus downloadable content for fun at home! This event will take place on Facebook Live. 

6. Zoo School with the Akron Zoo

Join in with Medina County District Library and the Akron Zoo for a virtual Zoo School! This one hour event will take place on Saturday at 10:30 AM over Zoom and you must register in advance.

7. Glow Skate – FREE Glow Stick! at United Skates of America

On Saturday from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM anyone who pays admission to skate at United Skates of America will receive a free glow stick!

8. Kids Korner Virtual Paint Party with Kym’s Kanvas

Register for a live stream painting class. $10/person. This Saturday the class takes place at 12:00 PM and will feature a ladybug painting.

9. DIY Hot Chocolate Bomb (Kraft Sessions) at Kreation’s Play Kafé

Create 6 mini hot chocolate bombs or 2 large hot chocolate bombs at Kreation’s Play Kafé. Perfect for ages 4 and up. Text or call to reserve your spot for Saturday between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

10. Winter Carriage Rides at Easton Town Center

Winter Carriage Rides will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays until February 14, 2021. Rides are $10/person (cash only). Children under age 15 ride for free with a paying adult. Hours are Saturday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Sunday: 3:00 PM-7:00 PM.

11. One Night Only – Encore Event at Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights

If you didn’t see Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights yet this year, you’re in luck! They’ve extended the show for one more night. This Saturday, January 9, 2020 from 5:30 PM-9:00 PM you can see the show at the weekday discounted price of $20/car.

12. Ohio Mosaic Paint Event at Busy Bees Pottery & Arts Studio

This class takes place on Sunday at 1:00 PM where participants will paint and create their own Ohio mosaic! There is limited seating capacity. Register online. 

13. Families In The Kitchen with Young Chef’s Academy in Gahanna

Join an interactive cooking class for all ages at Young Chef’s Academy in Gahanna on Sunday from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. Classes are $25/person. Register online.
