What Should We Do This Weekend? Columbus, Ohio, July 10-12, 2020

Need something to do with the kids this Weekend? Try out one of these 10 Columbus and Ohiobased activities with your family this weekend!

Check out this list of events for the upcoming weekend and if you need even more ideas make sure to check out:

1. Huntington Park Movie Nights

Watch a movie from the Huntington Park outfield! Tickets must be purchased in advance and shown on your smartphone. Capacity will be limited. Seating is first come first served. On Friday, all tickets are $5 for Jurassic Park and on Saturday, adults are $5, kids are $4 and children 2 and under are free for Frozen II. 

2. KidX Summer Series at Polaris Fashion Place

This kid-friendly event takes place outside at the Lifestyle Center Fountain from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM on Fridays. This year the event will be a completely DRIVE-THRU event that includes music, crafts, characters and free ice cream! This week’s theme is Heroes and Villains.

3. Easton Sunset Series Drive-In at Easton Town Center

Drive in movies will be shown in the newest Easton development east of Nordstrom’s parking lot. They will take place nearly every night and you must purchase your ticket in advance! Cost is $10 per car. Movies are announced on a weekly basis.

4. Westerville Music and Arts Virtual Festival

This weekend’s Music and Arts Festival will feature live performances on Saturday and Sunday. There will be carry out food trucks, and the opportunity to shop from artisans.

5. Visit the Paul Busse Garden Railway at Franklin Park Conservatory 

Visit this outdoor railroad on display in the Grand Mallway! The display is made from items found in nature, miniature garden, waterfalls and magical scenes! You must purchase your ticket in advance to visit the Conservatory!

6. Drive-in Zoovies at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium 

Watch a movie in the parking lot at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! Movies will be played on Fridays and Saturdays at 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM. A different movie will be played each night. Cost is $30 per vehicle for non-zoo members and $25 per vehicle for Zoo members (includes one free bag of popcorn for members). Add on a Zooper Snack Pack for $20 which includes 4 bottled beverages and 2 bags of popcorn. 

7. Roll with the Trolls at Skate Zone 71

Skate with Poppy and Branch and enjoy Troll Trivia on Saturday from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM! Admission is $8 and Skate Rental is $4.

8. Saturday Cinema in Lancaster

Enjoy a free drive-in movie (Charlotte’s Web) in the Stebelton Snider Parking Lot on Saturday night. You must register in advance to attend this event.

9. Community Drive In Movie Night at The Naz

Watch a Drive-In Movie each Sunday night at The Naz Church at 6:30 PM. This weekend’s movie is Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

10. Get an Update on Polar Bear Cub Kulu at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

A new polar bear cub was born at the Columbus Zoo and you can watch Kulu on video here:
