FRIDAY:

9:00 AM – National Moth Week at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park – visit the Nature Center to see a display of moths in celebration of National Moth Week!

9:00 AM – Ohio State Fair – the Ohio State Fair runs from July 24 – August 4, 2019 and features rides, food, live performances, vendors, animals, kids activities, contests, and so much more! 

10:00 AM – Lancaster Festival – the Lancaster Festival runs from July 17-27, 2019 with various performances, activities and shows throughout the week! There will be kid-friendly performances from The Shazzbots, magic shows, art projects and more! Click the link for the entire schedule.

10:00 AM – Forest Fridays at Sunbury Urban Farm – enjoy a nature activity plus free play in the woods. All ages welcome. $5 suggested donation.

10:00 AM – Tots on the Trails at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – take a slow paced 1/2 mile hike with your toddler. For ages 1-4.

10:00 AM – 1 Yr Anniversary Fun with us! at Fun Town Play and Learn Café – celebrate the one year anniversary with activities, tattoos, balloon artist, face painting, prizes, goodie bags and more! $12 for the first child, $6 for each additional. Kids 10 and under.

11:00 AM – Camp Creativity at Michaels Stores – Camp Creativity happens Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and is $3 per session. There is a different theme every week and different crafts every day. Sign up online. 

4:30 PM – Ice Cream & Trucks at West Berlin Presbyterian Church – this free event includes the opportunity to get up close to trucks and free ice cream while supplies last! 

5:00 PM – Family Friday Night at COSI – COSI stays open late on the last Friday of the month with reduced admission!

6:00 PM – 4th Friday in Uptown Westerville – stroll the streets for special activities, music and businesses that stay open late! This month’s theme is World Bazaar.

6:00 PM – 4th Fridays on the Lawn at Westerville Public Library  – enjoy a family-friendly activity on the front lawn of the library during Uptown Westerville’s 4th Friday! This month’s theme is building blocks and kids can build things out of various materials! 

6:00 PM – The Hilltop! at Third Way Cafe – celebrate the Hilltop with a release of “Hilltop Diner Blend” from Liturgia Coffee Co., Pitabilities food truck, live music, giveaways and more. Various businesses on the block will be open including an art gallery, paint your own pottery and more!

6:30 PM – Kids Night Out! at Young Chefs Academy of Gahanna – drop the kids off for a hands-on cooking experience! Ages 6 and up. $35. Register online.

6:30 PM – Family Night Out at Goldfish Swim School Dublin – this night is free for Members and includes an open swim and the “Featured Friends” for the evening will be Scene 75b and Master Woo’s MegaKick Martial Arts. First come first serve in the pool.

7:00 PM – Mary Poppins: A Disney and Cameron Mackintosh Musical at Westerville Central High School – watch this presentation of Mary Poppins performed by Westerville Parks and Recreation Civic Theatre! There are 4 performances this weekend. Tickets are $15 each and available online.

7:00 PM – Friday Night Bandstand in Lancaster – enjoy a live concert in downtown Lancaster!

8:00 PM – The Ohio State University Marching Band w/ Columbus Symphony Orchestra at Columbus Commons The Columbus Symphony and The Ohio State University Marching Band come together to celebrate the coming season! There will be music and fireworks! Tickets available online.

SATURDAY

8:00 AM – Summer Bird Walks at Blues Creek Park – take a walk through the park with a staff member to look for birds. Ages 7 and up.

9:00 AM – Ohio State Fair – the Ohio State Fair runs from July 24 – August 4, 2019 and features rides, food, live performances, vendors, animals, kids activities, contests, and so much more! 

9:00 AM – Water Themed Family Stroller Strides Class with Fit4Mom Columbus North – enjoy a morning water themed workout! Bring a friend or family member for free. Your first class is always free.

9:00 AM – National Moth Week at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park – visit the Nature Center to see a display of moths in celebration of National Moth Week!

10:00 AM – HOOT Family Film Series at Gateway Film Center – enjoy family-friendly short films, music by The Shazzbots and activities in the lobby! This event is free with a canned donation to The Open Shelter.

10:00 AM – Cartoon Capers – Summer Movie Series at Ohio Theatre – watch Warner Bros. cartoons on the big screen! Admission is free this week with your Columbus Metropolitan Library Card!

10:00 AM – Family Painting Dot Art at Creative Art Bar Hilliard – this class is for kids ages 5 and up and each child and adult will create a dot art painting! Register online.

10:00 AM – Full STEAM Ahead at Walmart Columbus – Georgesville Rd – participate in STEAM-themed activities in the store like tie-dye, making slime or a cereal necklace.

2:00 PM – Wizards Unite Tram Ride at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a metro parks tram to look for magical traces and other artifacts of the Calamity!

4:00 PM – Shop Hop and Food Trucks at Heart of Grove City – eat, shop and enjoy specials at businesses in downtown Grove City!

5:00 PM – The Grandview Hop – the Grandview Hop includes live music, shopping, art, food trucks, a beer garden and activities for all!

6:00 PM – Free Concert: British Invasion at Mill Run – enjoy a free 60’s British rock concert at the Mill Run Amphitheater!

6:00 PM – Bison at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park – take a one mile hike to look for bison in the park!

6:00 PM – 2019 Westerville Jazz Series at Alum Creek Amphitheater – enjoy a free concert in the park along with food trucks!

3:00 PM – Family Tram Rides at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a guided tour of the park on the tram! Hop on at one of the “tram stop” signs throughout the park.

3:00 PM – Taleblazer: The Adventure App at Glacier Ridge Metro Park – use the Taleblazer app to go on an adventure in the park. Ages 8-15.

6:00 PM – Music in the Garden: Summer ’19 at Olde Towne East Community Gardens – enjoy a concert by Gayla Smith in the Garden on Oak St.
