FRIDAY  

9:00 AM – Young’s Family Fun Value Independence Week Wristband Special at Young’s Jersey Dairy – head to Young’s Jersey Dairy this weekend for a special price on wristbands for miniature golf, batting cages, driving range and more! Wristbands is $15 for ages 12 and up, $9 for ages 11 and under and is good all day.

10:30 AM – KidX Club: Animals at Polaris Fashion Place The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will be teaching kids about animals and there will be face painting, a balloon artist, giveaways, crafts and more!

11:00 AM – Camp Creativity at Michaels Stores – Camp Creativity happens Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and is $3 per session. There is a different theme every week and different crafts every day. Sign up online. 

11:00 AM – July 4th Weekend Block Party & Engine Extravaganza at Tanger Outlets, Jeffersonville – Thursday through Sunday there will be emergency trucks and vehicles to explore, games, balloons, food trucks, activities, giveaways, free popsicles and more!

12:00 PM – Summer Carnival at Skate Zone 71 – in addition to skating, this carnival will include a bounce house, face painting, balloon twisting and more!

6:00 PM- Friday Night Float at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a canoe out on the lake, all equipment provided! Kids must be able to fit into a life jacket to ride.

6:00 PM – Central Ohio Brass Band at the Gantz Park Gazebo – enjoy a patriotic concert, visit with the Gardens at Gantz Farm volunteers and check out the new park! The concert begins at 7:00 PM.

7:00 PM – Friday Night Bandstand in Lancaster – enjoy a live concert in downtown Lancaster!

8:30 PM – Uptown Movie Series on the City Hall Lawn – enjoy a movie on the lawn at dusk. This week’s movie is My Fair Lady (rated G).

8:45 PM – Family Film Friday in the Park at Sharon Meadows Park – watch a family-friendly film in the park! Popcorn will be provided. Bring a blanket or chair. 

SATURDAY

9:00 AM – Canoe the Lake at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a canoe for a ride on the lake. All equipment provided including life jackets!

10:30 AM – Storytime at the Market at Westgate Farmers Market – head out to the Westgate Farmers Market for a story time with Miss Pam! There will be costumes and props and two stories! Explorers Club Food Truck will be onsite as well as Bottoms Up Coffee along with the regular vendors! (The market begins at 9:00 AM.)

10:00 AM – Birdwatching for Beginners at Grange Insurance Audubon Center – beginning bird watchers can learn tricks to improve their bird watching skills and go on a short hike to bird watch!

10:30 AM – Our Village: Tie Dye Creations! with FIT4MOM Upper Arlington – this is a free event with FIT4MOM UA! Bring an item to tie dye after the Stroller Strides Class!

11:00 AM – July 4th Weekend Block Party & Engine Extravaganza at Tanger Outlets, Jeffersonville – Thursday through Sunday there will be emergency trucks and vehicles to explore, games, balloons, food trucks, activities, giveaways, free popsicles and more!

12:00 PM – Family Fun Day with Next Level Trainings at Eastpointe Christian Church – this event includes face painting, bounce house, a D.J., games, an auction food and more! All activities are included with ticket purchase. Proceeds benefit NC4K which supports pediatric cancer families living or being treated in the state of Ohio.

1:00 PM – MAKE a Mini Sand Art Planter at Michaels Stores – buy the jar and Michaels will supply all of the supplies for a succulent jar filled with colorful sand.

2:00 PM – Canoe the Lake at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a canoe for a ride on the lake. All equipment provided including life jackets!

6:00 PM – 2019 Westerville Jazz Series at Alum Creek Amphitheater – enjoy a free concert in the park along with food trucks!

7:30 PM – Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) at Ohio Theatre – watch the original Disney’s Snow White as part of CAPA’s Summer Movie Series! Tickets are available online. There are 3 showings this weekend.

SUNDAY

10:00 AM – Community Days at Franklin Park Conservatory – on the first Sunday of each month, the Conservatory is free for residents of Franklin County and the City of Columbus (with valid ID) during regular operating hours of 10am to 5pm.

11:00 AM – July 4th Weekend Block Party & Engine Extravaganza at Tanger Outlets, Jeffersonville – Thursday through Sunday there will be emergency trucks and vehicles to explore, games, balloons, food trucks, activities, giveaways, free popsicles and more!

11:00 AM – Fairy Garden Super Sunday at Creative Art Bar Hilliard – create your own fairy garden with houses, rocks, accessories and more. Reservations recommended. Ages 3 and up with adult supervision. If you register online and attend you will receive 20% off your creation.

1:00 PM – Live Fire Sundays at Franklin Park Conservatory – watch a free cooking demo and sample foods made on outdoor cooking equipment. Sunday’s theme is Braised Beef and potatoes.

2:00 PM – Canoe the Lake at Sharon Woods Metro Park – take a canoe for a ride on the lake. All equipment provided including life jackets!

2:00 PM – Tanabata Festival 七夕祭り at Coffman Pavillion – this free festival celebrates the Japan-American relationship in Central Ohio and features musical performances, food, games, japanese sporting events and more. 

2:00 PM – For Kids: Scavenger Hunt at Highbanks Metro Park – pick up a scavenger hunt at the Nature Center and complete it for a prize!
