FRIDAY:

9:00 AM – Sidewalk Sale at Cute As A Button – everything at the sidewalk sale at this cute shop in Powell will be $10 and under!

10:30 AM – Read it, Make it, Eat it – The Little Engine That Could at PARTY Like It’s Your Birthday – hear a story, do a craft or two and have a snack based on the book! $15/child.

11:00 AM – Free 30 min Get Air Jump Pass with Admission at Tree of Life Play + Cafe – receive 30 minutes of free jumping at Get Air when you buy admission to the play cafe.

11:00 AM – From Book to Film – watch a family-friendly movie for free with your library card at 11:00 PM and 2:00 PM every day! This weekend’s film is Little Women, rated PG.

11:00 AM – Food Truck Friday at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio – this week’s food truck options include Paddy Wagon, Mixing Bowl Asian Grill, and J-Pops!

11:00 AM – Hand on Activities Village at Columbus Arts Festival – a new location this year for this kid-focused portion of the Columbus Arts Festival! Look for hands on arts and crafts activities at the brand new park outside COSI!

5:00 PM – Franklinton Bike Fest at Franklinton Cycle Works – this festival is focused on cycling and healthy living and features raffle items, a bike decoration station, a bike rodeo, bike powered spin art and lots more!

5:00 PM – Summer Kickoff Luau at Jerry L. Garver YMCA – this event is free for both members and non members and includes coconut bowling, a hula hoop contest, limbo, corn hole an more!

5:30 PM – Credit Union of Ohio Carnival at Credit Union of Ohio (Hilliard Branch) – This family-friendly event is open to the public and will offer free activities for kids of all ages, including games, prizes, live music, face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, ice cream, water, and a free food item from one of the 3 food trucks on site! 5:30 PM – Stuffed Animal Sleepover at Chick-fil-A Sawmill Road – kids can bring their stuffed friends to a special dinner at Chick-fil-A on Sawmill and then leave them for a slumber party they won’t forget! At pick up on Saturday, kids can see pictures of their friends’ overnight adventures!

8:00 PM – The Obetz Summer Splash & Cinema – this month the movie will be Despicable ME 3. The splash pad hours will be extended and there will be free popcorn!

8:30 PM – Friday Night Flicks: The Nut Job 2 at Sycamore Park Amphitheater – this free movie begins at dusk! Bring a blanket and chairs!

SATURDAY:

10:00 AM – Storybook Village at Ohio Village – all your kids’ favorite storybook characters come to life at this special event including story times and meet and greets. Members can enter early at 9:00 AM.

10:00 AM – Saturday Morning Cartoons Dinosaur Edition at Gateway Film Center – watch your favorite retro cartoons with a bowl of cereal and milk! $5/person.

10:00 AM – Storytime and Music with Brian Griffin at Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers – Brian Griffin, an award winning artist and musician from Central Ohio, will read and perform Puff, the Magic Dgragon!

10:00 AM – Summer SPLASH with Princess Ariel! at Ragamuffins Coffee House – take a short road trip to meet Ariel at this free event at Ragamuffins Coffee House in Alexandria, OH.

10:00 AM – Painting with Rapunzel at We Rock the Spectrum – Columbus – your princess fan can paint with Rapunzel! This event also includes an open play time with Rapunzel and a craft! You must register in advance by calling the gym!

10:30 AM – Story Time with The Hungry Caterpillar at Butterflies! at Polaris Fashion Place – this story time is included with your ticket to the Butterflies! exhibit at Polaris Fashion Place. There will also be a caterpillar craft!

10:30 AM – June Grown-Up & Me Art: Father’s Day Guitar at Art with Anna – create a Father’s Day guitar with your little artist! Ages 3 and up are welcome to participate with any adult. $15/couple $5 for an additional artist.

11:00 AM – PBJ & Jazz at the Topiary Park – Caribbean Jazz – enjoy a kid-friendly jazz concert in Topiary Park! A story time begins in the Main Library at 11:00 AM, the concert starts at 12:00 and a craft time will follow the concert from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

11:00 AM – 7th Annual Community Baby Shower in Reynoldsburg – the community is invited to this baby shower celebrating new and expectant moms! This will be a great event for anyone looking for community resources! There will be prizes, refreshments and gifts!

2:00 PM – For Families: Go Creeking at Highbanks Metro Park – kids can explore the Olentangy River looking for animals!

2:00 PM – Dad and Me Stamp Class at Coffee Connections – dad and child can make a stamped key chain or bracelet! $25/pair, $5 for an additional child. Space is limited so register online!

8:30 – Saturday Cinema Movie Series in Downtown Lancaster – this is a free community event with activities beginning 1 hour before the movie and concessions available for purchase! Peter Rabbit is the movie being shown!

SUNDAY:

10:00 AM – Hands-On Reading/Signing with Author & Illustrator at Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers – come hear author Melissa Rooney, and illustrator, Stacy Fabbre read their book, The Fate of the Frog, do a craft and get your book signed!

12:00 PM – Walk-In Event – Father’s Day Designs at AR Workshop Grove City – kids can walk in between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM to make a mini sign for Father’s Day! Prices are $10 and $30 per project.

1:00 PM – Book Reading and Craft with Stacy and Melissa at The Book Loft of German Village -Melissa Rooney, and illustrator, Stacy Fabbre will read The Fate of the Frog and kids can make their own tadpole from recycled materials. Book is recommended for children ages 2-10.

The Credit Union of Ohio Carnival is this Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Hilliard Branch!

This family-friendly event is open to the public and will offer free activities for kids of all ages, including games, prizes, live music, face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, ice cream, water, and a free food item from one of the following food trucks: Empanadas and More, Mojo Tago, and Mya’s Chicken. Be sure to take advantage of a special offer for families who open a Youth Account at the carnival. 

Carnival attendees are encouraged to RSVP on Credit Union of Ohio’s event page.

Free parking will be available in the branch parking lot as well as at BMW Financial, just past the branch.
