1. Think Outside the Brick at Columbus Museum of Art
Visit Think Outside The Brick, the annual LEGO display at the Columbus Museum of Art by Ohio LEGO Users’s Group. There will be a museum-wide scavenger hunt, a LEGO brick-building zone and more! This exhibit is included in admission and will be on display through March 13, 2025. Don’t forget Sundays are free!
2. Wanderlights in Downtown Columbus
New this year in Downtown Columbus is Wanderlights! Follow this festive path beginning at Columbus Commons down Town Street and ending at Bicentennial Park! Enjoy holiday lights, a mural and special displays along the way! Lights will be lit from November 22 – February 16 from 5 – 10 pm, daily.
3. Show Ronald McDonald House Families You Care with Seeds of Caring
Seeds of Caring has a fun, kid-friendly way to share kindness with hospitalized kids and their families this winter: Through Feb. 23, kids ages 2-12 can make a difference right from their own homes by assembling yummy snack packs with items like chips, a granola bar, and fruit cup — plus decorating cheer cards for those staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Register today!
4. Sunset and S’mores at Quarry Trails Metro Park
Make s’mores and watch the sunset around the campfire at Quarry Trails Metro Park on Friday from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.
5. Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink
This ice rink in Dublin is open on Fridays from 5–10 p.m., Saturdays from noon–10 p.m. and Sundays from noon–8 p.m. Cost is $12 per person and skates are available for sizes Youth 9 – Adult 13. You may also bring your own skates.
6. Duck Walk at Blendon Woods Metro Park
Take a walk to Thoreau Lake to look for winter birds and waterfowl at Blendon Woods on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM.
7. Open Studio at Oh What A Space
Kids can explore fun stations featuring sensory play, art, STEM projects and more on Saturday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Oh What A Space in Dublin, Ohio. Register online.
8. Clear Creek Winter Hike
Take a self-guided hike on any trail at Clear Creek Metro Park on Saturday between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM as part of the Winter Hike Series. There will be donuts, coffee and hot chocolate at the Barnebey-Hambleton Picnic Area.
9. Meet the Snakes at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park
Meet the 3 resident snakes at Battelle Darby Creek Nature Center on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday.
10. Learn and Roll at Skate Zone 71
On Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM kids can learn to skate with Fisher Price skates, Skate Mates and wrist guards available. This Saturday is Cotton Candy Skate – wear pink or blue for a free bag of cotton candy.
11. Kids Create at South High Library
Tweens can create art, play games and more on Saturday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
12. Dog Man Party at Old Worthington Library
Kids ages 6-8 can do Dog Man related crafts and activities at the Old Worthington Library on Saturday from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM.
13. Drop In: Astronomy Night at Highbanks Metro Park
Drop into the Big Meadows Picnic Area between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM on Saturday for stargazing with the Columbus Astronomical Society. All ages welcome. Equipment will be provided.
14. Lil Slice Sundays at Mikey’s Late Night Slice
On Sundays at the Easton, Bridge Park, OSU Campus, and 4th Street locations of Mikey’s Late Night Slice, kids can make their own pizzas for $6.99. They will get a build-your-own pizza kit, drink and mini Unicorn Bar.
15. Championship Celebration at Ohio Stadium
Celebrate the Buckeyes and their CFP National Championship on Sunday at 12:00 PM at Ohio Stadium. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with free parking available at 8 a.m. The event will be free to the public, first come first serve.
16. Candy Sushi at Westerville Public Library
Teens can stop into the Westerville Public Library to pick up a free activity all day on Sunday. They will get supplies to make their own candy sushi. Hours on Sunday are 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
17. Try it! Archery at Blacklick Woods Golf Course
Try archery inside the Golf Course Pro Shop at Blacklick Woods. All equipment is provided for this free event for kids ages 8 and up. This event takes place from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM on Sunday.
18. Pokémon Escape Room at Northwest Library
Join Pokémon trainers to solve puzzles at the Northwest Library on Sunday from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM. Ages 6-11.
19. Family Concert with ProMusica at Bexley Public Library
Enjoy a free family-friendly concert by ProMusica Columbus at the Bexley Public Library on Sunday at 3:00 pm. The concert will combine books and stories with live music. All ages welcome.
