1. YUM! Cookie and Cocoa Kits with Seeds of Caring
Calling all kind kids! Spread some holiday cheer by creating tasty cookie and cocoa kits for families served by People In Need of Delaware County. In this Anywhere Project from Seeds of Caring, kids 2-12 will explore the concept of basic needs and then help families create holiday memories of toasting delicious cups of cocoa and baking cookies together! This project is available through December 8.
2. Story Time and Book Signing at Coffee Connections of Hilliard
Join local author Mesha Griffith for a story time featuring her book The Bedtime Mantra on Friday at 9:00 AM at Coffee Connections in Hilliard. There will also be crafts and coffee!
3. T. rex: The Ultimate Predator at COSI
Visit the newest exhibition at COSI! Learn all about the T. rex through life-sized casts and engaging interactives. Included with admission through March 2, 2025.
4. U.S. Marine Corps Birthday Weekend at National Veterans Memorial and Museum
Celebrate the 249th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps with $5 admission to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum November 8-10.
5. Little Adventures at Columbus Museum of Art
Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers can take a kid-friendly tour of the Columbus Museum of Art that includes storytelling and play! This activity will take place on Friday from 10:30 AM -11:15 AM and is free for members and $20 for nonmembers. Register online.
6. Preschool: Meet the Animals at Highbanks Nature Center
Meet educational animals close up at the Highbanks Nature Center on Friday at 11:00 AM. Enjoy a story, a craft and a scavenger hunt, too. Ages 3-5. This same event also takes place at 1:00 PM.
7. Lantern Hike at Walnut Woods Tall Pines Area
Take a walk through the Tall Pines area at Walnut Woods Metro Park on Friday at 6:00 PM. A limited number of lanterns will be available. Bring a flashlight or headlamp!
8. Duck Hike at Blendon Woods Metro Park
Take a .3 mile walk to look for migrating ducks at Blendon Woods Metro Park on Saturday at 8:00 AM.
9. The Harvest Market at Bridge Park
On Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM enjoy local vendors, live music and fall-themed finds at this annual market in Bridge Park.
10. The Traveling Bookshop Pop-Up at REV Coffeehouse
Visit the Travelling Bookshop pop-up store on Saturday from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM for gently used books for all ages.
11. Veterans March & Ceremony in Canal Winchester
A Veterans March will take place in downtown Canal Winchester on Saturday at 10:00 AM. A ceremony will follow.
12. March Through Time at Ohio History Center
Explore Ohio’s military history with daily programs and activities at Ohio History Center on Saturday and Sunday. There will be an open storage World War 1 Display, military uniforms and medals, educational activities and more. Hours are 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day. This event is included in admission.
13. Fall Crafts at Blacklick Woods
Stop by the Nature Center at Blacklick Woods between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Saturday to do a fall-themed craft.
14. Game on at Dublin Library
Enjoy games for all ages throughout the Dublin Branch of CML! There will be prizes! This event takes place from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday.
15. Saturday Afternoon with Manga Artist Misako Rocks at Cover to Cover
On Saturday at 1:00 PM join manga artist Misako Rocks for a demonstration of drawing techniques and a celebration of her latest book How To Draw Kawaii Manga with Misako Rocks. There will be supplies for kids to draw, too!
16. Saturday Music Series at Gahanna Library
Enjoy a performance by the youth ensemble Urban Strings. They will perform upbeat music from popular African-American composers and arrangers on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Gahanna Branch of CML.
17. Hilliard Veterans Day Parade
On Sunday at 2:00 PM celebrate Veterans with a parade beginning at Franklin County Fairgrounds and ending at. Roger A. Reynolds Park. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial.
18. Kids Yoga at Westerville Public Library
Kids ages 6-11 can stretch, meditate and learn yoga on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
19. Family Concert Series at Hilliard Library
Enjoy a family-friendly concert by a string quartet from ProMusica Chamber Orchestra on Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Hilliard Branch of CML.
20. The Hundred Acre Woods After Dark at Blendon Woods Metro Park
Take a 1.5 mile hike in the dark forest to look for nocturnal animals at Blendon Woods at 5:30 PM on Sunday. Bring a flashlight and hiking shoes.
