Looking for a Farmer’s Market in Columbus? These fresh markets are popping up everywhere in Central Ohio! Not only are they a great spot for picking up fresh produce, but they often also offer homemade treats, handmade goods, live entertainment and kids activities!

You know it’s summer when farmer’s markets in Columbus start to pop up! This is a great opportunity to buy local, whether it be produce, baked goods, handmade items or locally raised meats. Farmer’s Markets are a great way to spend a Saturday morning in Columbus, strolling through the aisles, picking up something new!

And Farmer’s Markets aren’t just for Saturdays! It turns out, in the Central Ohio area, you can find a farmer’s market happening any day of the week! So if you missed it on Saturday, scroll through the list to find another farmer’s market happening near you!

This post is continually being updated as things change for the 2021 season. Locations with (*) next to them have not been confirmed for 2021. Please make sure to check the link to each individual market for the most up to date info!

Farmer’s Markets in Columbus and Central Ohio by Day of the Week:

SATURDAY:

*Grove City Farmer’s Market – In 2020, the Grove City Farmers Market will open with online ordering and drive through pick up! 

Canal Winchester – the Canal Winchester Farmer’s Market takes place on Saturdays in downtown Canal Winchester from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM from May 39th through September 25th, 2021. The 2021 Market will take place at the Canal Winchester Historical Complex.

Westerville – the Saturday Farmers Market takes place on Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM May 22rd – October 9th, 2021 and features local farmers and vendors. The location is behind Westerville City Hall at 21 South State St.

Dublin – Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM beginning May 1 through September 25, 2021. The Dublin Market is located on Longshore Street, from Banker Drive to Larimer Street, and on Bridge Park Avenue. You can park for free in the Longshore, Mooney, Endres and Howe Parking Garages.

Clintonville – Summer Market happens Saturdays beginning April 24 – November 20, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Ohio History Connection. You can still preorder your purchase for convenience and safety. All purchases can be made through an online marketplace and picked up without leaving your vehicle.

Westgate – The Westgate Farmers Market takes place on the first and third Saturdays of each month, June through October from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. The market is held on the front lawn of the West Gate Masonic Lodge.

*Circleville – Closed for 2020.

*Worthington – a Walk-In Market begins on Saturday, June 13 at the new, temporary location for 2020: 450/500 W. Wilson Bridge Road in Worthington. The Market will be held every Saturday morning from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM is reserved for customers in high-risk populations (senior citizens and immune compromised). 

*Powell – The Powell Farmer’s Market takes place on Saturdays beginning May 23 through September 26, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM will be exclusively for senior citizens and high risk individuals.

North Market – the Farmers Market at the North Market in Columbus takes place in the outside stalls from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturdays June 5th – October 30th, 2021. In addition to produce and food there is also hand made items, fine arts and jewelry.

German Village – The Saint Mary Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM on the front lawn of St. Mary School in German Village. The 2021 Market begins on May 1st.

Granville – The Granville Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM from May 1 to October 30, 2021. The Granville Farmers Market will take place at Raccoon Valley Park located at 1225 River Rd. There are special hours for vulnerable populations (8:30 AM – 9:30 AM). 

*Logan County – Logan County is offering an online Farmers Market this year. Ordering takes place Sunday through Wednesday and pick up will take place at the Logan County Fairgrounds on Saturdays from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

SUNDAY:

*Gahanna – the Make Gahanna Yours Farmers Market takes place on Sundays June through September from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Veteran’s Memorial Park. A Winter Market takes place inside Shepherd Church of the Nazarene on Sundays in January, March and April.

MONDAY:

Prairie Township – this Farmers Market takes place Monday afternoons from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and includes a food truck. The market takes place at the Prairie Township Community Center. Market runs June 28 through September 27, 2021 (except Labor Day).

TUESDAY:

Newark – Canal Market District is a twice-weekly farmers market from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Tuesday dates are June through September and Friday dates are May through October. Once a month in the same space there is an Art & Craft Market.

*Pearl Alley – The Pearl Market takes place beginning the end of May through Mid October on Gay St. and Pearl Alley in downtown Columbus on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM. 2020 dates are Friday, May 22 – Friday, October 16. Online ordering and pick up is available as well as shopping in person.

Hilliard – Hilliard Farm Market takes place Tuesdays from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM beginning May 25-September 28, 2021. The market is held in the parking lot of the Hilliard United Methodist Church.

WEDNESDAY: 

Franklin Park Conservatory – the Conservatory’s Farmer’s Market takes place in the main Conservatory parking lot on E. Broad St. on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM, June 2 – September 1, 2021. The market features local produce, handmade goods and food trucks.

*Westerville – On Hiatus for 2020.

Upper Arlington – the Farmers Market in Upper Arlington takes place every Wednesday from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and will run May 19 – October 27, 2021 in the Tremont Pool Parking Lot.

THURSDAY:

Reynoldsburg – the Reynoldsburg Farmers Market takes place on Thursdays from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM in Huber Park. The market runs June through the beginning of September.

New Albany – the New Albany Farmer’s Market takes place from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursdays at JFK Park on E. Main St. This Farmer’s Market  begins June 10 and runs through August 26, 2021.

*Bexley – The Bexley Farmers’ Market takes place on Thursdays from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Dawson Ave. between Main St. and Bryden Ave.

FRIDAY:

What Should We Do This Weekend? May 27-29, 2016

The temperatures are in the 80’s, some schools are out, it’s Memorial Day Weekend and Columbus events are in full-swing!  It’s the unofficial start of SUMMER! (Just for saying that, it will probably snow next week (thanks, Ohio!) but I’ll take my chances!)

First off, this weekend kicks off the summer season at Columbus Commons, a great, multi-purpose green space in the middle of downtown.  All summer there will be concerts, festivals and my first event on the list, Commons for Kids!

1. Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons

When: Friday, May 27, 2016
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: 160 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43215

Free carousel rides, bouncy houses and open play are available every Friday, but each week has different special activities.  This week Lowe’s will be on hand to help your child plant a plant to take home and Mr. Puppet will give a performance!

2. Family Fun Day at Columbus Commons

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016
Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: 160 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43215

Saturday at Columbus Commons you can join in lots of fun activities like face painting, inflatables, crafts, Lego play, maker space, photo booth and more!  Some (but not all) activities require a $5 wristband purchase. The event opens at a 3:00 PM for children with sensory sensitivities. There will be food trucks on location and visits from special characters!  Stick around for:

3. Free Movie Night at the Commons

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016
Time: 8:00 PM

The busy weekend at the Commons concludes with an outdoor showing of The Good Dinosaur, rated PG.

4. Story Trail Opening Day at Friendship Park

When: Friday, May 27, 2016
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: 138 Oklahoma Ave., Gahanna, OH 43230

Celebrate the opening of the new Story Trail at Friendship Park, a collaboration between Gahanna Parks & Recreation, Columbus Metropolitan Library and Art Garden Studios. Attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, enjoy a live music performance by Casey Redmond and participate in games and other fun activities!

5. Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival

When: Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 28-30, 2016
Time: Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: 11339 Mt Vernon Rd., Utica, OH 43080

If you’re up for a short road trip this weekend, the Utica Ice Cream Festival offers tons of fun for kids (not to mention ice cream)! Kid friendly events include arts and crafts, magic shows, kiddie tractor pull, visits from the Columbus Zoo, water balloon toss and a whole lot more! Admission is $5 per car.

6. Asian Festival at Franklin Park

When: Saturday & Sunday, May 28 & 29, 2016
Time: Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: 1755 E Broad St, Columbus OH

This celebration of Asian culture includes performances, food, a marketplace, and more. Specifically for kids, there will be a children’s area with games, crafts, dress up and the opportunity to learn calligraphy and make a handprint dragon!

7. Opening Day at Ohio Village

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Ohio History Center, 800 E. 17th Ave., Columbus Ohio, 43211

Ohio Village opens for the season and steps into the 1890s!  Opening day offers a look at the changes the village has undergone and a chance to meet new residents of the village, try croquet, make ice cream, listen to live music and more! Check the link for the schedule of activities.

8. For Kids – Wildlife at Homestead Park

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016

Homestead Metro Park offers kids ages 3-10 the opportunity to meet live animals and learn more about Ohio’s wildlife!

9. Bob Evans Family Days at the Columbus Clippers

Family Day Admission is $15 for two adults and up to four youth ages 18 and under! Admission includes access to left-field bleachers, lawn seating and standing room only. After the game, kids can run the bases in the Commit to be Fit Fun Run!
