I’ve got 10 things for you to do with your kids this weekend! We’ve run the gamut here – from tutus to monster trucks! April showers may keep us indoors this coming week, but I’m feeling hopeful and excited about all the things there are to do now that spring is here! I’ve got a lot of ideas in the works for future posts to share with you! But for now, let’s look forward to the weekend!
1. Preschool Open Gym at Dublin Community Recreation Center

2. Pop-Up Party at William H. Adams Community Center

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is in the midst of their 2016 Spring Break Initiative which includes special programing at six area community centers. Activities are “open to all” and the pop-up parties are sponsored by Radio One.
3. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in German Village

4. Monster Jam at Value City Arena, Schottenstein Center

High energy, action packed show for motorsports fans! Special passes are also available to see the trucks up close and meet the drivers!
5. Lady Tutu 5K at Easton Town Center

Time: 5K: 8:00 AM, Little Princess Dash: 9:00 AM
This women’s only event benefits Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. The Little Princess Dash is for girls 8 and under and participants will receive a tiara, cotton shirt, princess wand and ribbon. Walk up registrations are accepted.
6. Spring Puppet Show at Columbus Metropolitan Library – Hilliard Branch

7. Free Kid’s Fun Day at the Columbus Soap Box Derby

Kids 7 and older (plus adults!) can test drive a soap box racer! Event is free, but kids and adults must sign a waiver to participate. (See link for details).
8. PB&J and Jazz at the Lincoln Theatre

Enjoy a kid-friendly introduction to jazz! Concerts are $5 per person, $20 maximum per family. Children receive a lunch that includes a PB&J sandwich, juice and a cookie.
9. Ohio Roller Girls at the Ohio Expo Center

Cheer on the Ohio Roller Girls at their second game of the season against Ithaca League of Women Rollers! Home games are double headers – you can stay for one or both bouts. Children under 8 are always free and games are kid-friendly!
10. Baby Bonanza and Kids Expo at the Ohio Expo Center
When: Sunday, April 3, 2016
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This event offers fun for the whole family: diaper derby races, play areas for the kids, a Mommy Relaxation Station, and the Dad’s Challenge! Also featured are educational seminars, displays featuring the latest products and much more! Kids 12 and under are free!
