Friday
6:00 AM – Happy 3rd Birthday Bexley Coffee Shop – celebrate the 3rd birthday of Bexley Coffee Shop with free slices of cake, special dessert options and live music! Read more about Bexley Coffee Shop.
9:00 AM – Drop In Music Class at Coffee Connections of Hilliard, LLC – Drop in for a fun and informal music class for your toddler or preschooler! Check the link for various time slots based on age. $5/child and $3/sibling. Read more about Coffee Connections.
10:00 AM – The Wizard of Oz Educational Exhibit at Easton Town Center – this new, temporary educational exhibit featuring The Wizard of Oz opens at Easton Town Center on Friday and lasts through March 25, 2018. Create your own tornado, explore Munchkin houses and much more!
4:00 PM – Mohican Winterfest in Loudonville – for a short road trip – this 3 day event includes a stuffed animal workshop, live penguins, ice carving demos, live music, a model train expo and more! Goes through 4:00 on Sunday.
5:00 PM – CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER – Cat-Stravaganza Franklinton Friday at The STEAM Factory – meet, play with and adopt cats from Colony Cats, learn about cats from veterinarians and an animal behaviorist, make your own catnip toy and more! This takes place during Franklinton Fridays.
6:00 PM – Friday Family Nights at Amaze Columbus – Friday nights in January get a kid’s ticket for half price with the purchase of an adult ticket! Appropriate for ages 5 and up.
6:30 PM – Family Fort Night at Worthington Libraries, Northwest Library – bring sheets blankets and pillows to build a fort with your family and stay warm with some hot chocolate! You can register online to spend the night if interested!
Saturday
9:00 AM – CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER 2018 Annual Tapping Of The Trees! at Camp Lazarus – help tap over 800 maple trees for syrup! Hot chocolate and coffee with be provided! No experience necessary.
9:00 AM – Waffle Bar! at Coffee Connections of Hilliard, LLC – enjoy a waffle bar with unlimited toppings plus juice and drip coffee for $5/person!
10:00 AM – The Great Train Show at Ohio Expo Center – this event is happening on Saturday and Sunday and includes huge model train displays, a riding train, door prizes, train accessories, activities for kids and more! Adults $10, kids are free! If you buy a ticket for Saturday, you can get in on Sunday, too!
10:00 AM – Saturday Morning Cartoons – Monsters Edition at Gateway Film Center – for $5 you can watch Saturday morning cartoons in your PJ’s with a bowl of cereal and milk! The theme this week is Monsters!
10:00 AM – Poppy & Branch Pizza Party: Kids Fun Skate at Skate Zone 71 – skate with Poppy and Branch and enjoy $1 cheese pizza slices. Recommended for ages 2-8.
10:00 AM & 11:30 AM – PBJ & Jazz Family Concert at Lincoln Theatre – enjoy a 1 hour, family-friendly jazz concert by Ohio Jaztet! Children receive a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, juice and a cookie. $5/person.
10:30 AM – Reel Movies for Real Needs: Paddington 2 at Marcus Pickerington Cinema – watch Paddington 2 with lights up and volume down for families with special needs.
11:00 AM –Grand opening Saturday at Freeze Style Ice Cream – ice cream rolls are BOGO free when you check in on social media at the Grand Opening of Freeze Style Ice Cream.
12:00 PM – Drop in Discovery: Marvelous Animals at Deer Haven Park – discover marvelous animals, create a craft and enjoy a snack!
12:00 PM – Ice Cream Rollery Grand Opening! – the first 100 customers get BOGO free ice cream! There will also be arcade games, edible cookie dough and music!
1:00 PM – Level One Lego Class at Level One Bar + Arcade – attend a LEGO class taught by a LEGO master! $25 includes the class, a drink and a Level One Lego figure to take home.
1:00 PM – Clay Slime at Michaels Stores – make shapable clay slime! All supplies provided!
Sunday
9:00 AM – Columbus Fairytale Ball at the Columbus Convention Center – dance, read, create and play with your favorite princesses. This event includes a professional portrait, plus crafts, games, stories, songs and more!
12:00 PM – KidX Club: Enchanted Forest of Fairies – this event includes a story time with a fairy and face painting as well as other fun activities for kids!
1:00 PM – Science of Star Wars at Highbanks Metro Park – learn about how the science of Star Wars relates to our own world! Read more about Highbanks Metro Park.
Monday – MLK Jr. Day
9:00 AM – MLK Art at Picassos – kids 5 and up can make art inspired by MLK Jr. All supplies and a snack are included in the price. Register online.
9:15 AM –MLK Family & Friends Fitness Day at Olde Gahanna Sanctuary – join FIT4MOM Stroller Strides for their Family & Friends free workout! Afterwards there will be treats!
9:30 AM – Kids Story Time at Chick-fil-A on Sawmill – join up for a kid’s story time featuring penguins and polar bears!

10:00 AM & 1:00 PM – SuperGames Winter Open Play! at SuperGames – open play is available at Super Games at two time slots. $10 for the first child, $8 for siblings.

11:00 AM – Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Worthington United Methodist Church – Worthington Libraries presents this annual event which features live musical and historical performances in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
11:00 AM – School’s Out Skate at Worthington Community Center Worthington Community Center – a section of the parking lot will be turned into an iceless skating rink for one day only! This event is free!
11:30 AM – MLK Skate at Skate Zone 71 – arrive before 12:30 PM for $.99 admission!
12:00 PM – MLK Open House at King Arts Complex – this community event explores the life and legacy of Dr. Martin luther King Jr. Learn about the civil rights movement, participate in art activities, listen to speakers and more.
1:00 PM – REGISTRATION FULL Feed the Birds Workshop for Kids at A La Carte Food Tours – make birdseed ornaments to hang in your yard!
1:00 PM – Frosty Scavenger Hunt at Homestead Metro Park – pick up a winter time scavenger hunt at the Nature Center and return the completed sheet for a prize! For ages 3-10.
3:00 PM – Parent & Child Painting at Quantum 51 – create your own masterpiece with your child! Each person gets their own canvas to paint.
