On a personal note . . .
My kids are REALLY into spooky things this year! I mentioned my #momfail concerning Halloween last year in my post last week, but this year I don’t think there’s any way I’m going to get away with waiting until my kids forget about it! Jaden is already asking me how many days until Halloween every day, so he’s going to expect SOMETHING to happen when it rolls around! Now I am NOT a Pinterest mom, and I basically have this blog chronicling the things we go out and do because I am the worst at doing crafty things at home with my kids!
BUT, since the pressure is on, here are a few ideas I am considering for the “big day”:
- a few games from this list of Halloween Learning Activities from Toddler Approved! I think I can manage to hide a few pumpkins with numbers on them around the house! 😉
- some Halloween inspired recipes from local bloggers like Loaded Mashed Potato Spider Web Casserole from NeighborFood or this Pumpkin Pudding from Made by Melissa Lee!
- these cute Monster and Mummy Apples from Real Mom Nutrition (also from Columbus)!
If you have any easy Halloween games or treats for little kids, send them my way! (And I mean EASY!)
Happy Halloween!
