5 Reasons Why You Should Visit The Dublin Market with Your Kids

The Dublin Market is a new, vibrant farmers’ market that offers food, produce, retail, live entertainment and a family-friendly Saturday morning out!

This past Saturday my family explored The Dublin Market on it’s opening morning! It was a beautiful morning and the first market of the summer was bustling! There are so many fun things to do in Dublin, Ohio and this market is definitely one of them!

The Dublin Market is a really fun new weekly market that offers a lot more than just produce! Though it is considered a farmers’ market, The Dublin Market boasts an impressive list of vendors selling retail goods, food and sweets, homemade products and locally grown produce.

The Market kicked off it’s first season last Saturday and will run through September 29, 2018 at Bridge Park from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Here are 5 things my family really enjoyed about The Dublin Market and I think you will, too!

1. A Wide Variety of Vendors

What I appreciated about The Dublin Market was the good balance of vendors. It felt like a pretty equal mix of produce and grocery items, retail items and food to eat on the spot. Here are a few examples, but this is certainly not an exhaustive list! You can see the whole list here.

2. Live Music

My kids love to watch musicians. They hung around on the rocks behind this artist, watching and listening! Having live music was a nice touch while we explored the market!

3. Convenient Free Parking

A big plus when it comes to this market is that there is a large parking garage at the end of the street where the market begins! In my experience, one of the hardest things about attending a neighborhood farmers’ market is finding parking! Having a close parking garage is especially handy when you are toting around small children! And to top it off, the parking is free!

4. Bridge Park and the Bridge Street District

So much is happening in the newly developed Bridge Street District! The area is blossoming with restaurants, shops and other businesses! A few of the local businesses participated in the Market, but you could also spend time visiting their brick and mortar locations or pop into one of the local restaurants for lunch after shopping!

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea just opened up in the area. You can get a coffee at the market or visit the shop for more options or a refreshment break!

Kilwins Dublin has a stand at The Dublin Market but also a shop around the corner for yummy chocolate treats and ice cream!

It was fun to see our kids’ dental office handing out insulated, reusable shopping bags and sugar free suckers!

5. Donuts

Donuts gets its own category because it was definitely a highlight of the market for my kids! There are two options for donuts: Duck Donuts and The Donut Experiment.

The boys had a fun time picking out all of their own toppings for their donuts! In case you’re wondering, orange glaze, crushed Oreos and marshmallow topping is not a bad combo!

With all of the unique vendors at The Dublin Market, the live entertainment and the surrounding shops and restaurants, your family will enjoy a fun morning exploring the Bridge Street District!
