I got the Maria’s Cafecito which is a double shot of espresso whipped with brown sugar and a touch of milk. My husband got a latte with the homemade brown sugar syrup and they were both good! Check the side menu for specials!

Located on the corner of E. Mohler and S. 4th St. in Merion Village, Jennings Java was such a sweet surprise! Bigger than it looks from the outside, there is plenty of seating inside this coffee shop that serves single-origin coffee.

Coffee options include espresso drinks and signature drinks that are always on the menu. Don’t miss the separate menu of seasonal drinks. Jennings Java is also known for their cold brew and pour over bar! Non-coffee options include matcha, tea, milk steamer and Italian soda. Non-dairy milks are also available.

I chose one of the rotating Drinks of the Month, the Golden Dream. It was a latte with white chocolate and caramel and it was delicious!

Jennings Java makes a great addition to the neighborhood and it’s the perfect location for a coffee date! Their slogan is “Coffee & a Smile” and, before I even knew that, I was impressed by how friendly everyone was behind the counter! When I saw the slogan it totally made sense. I, for one, really prefer a friendly coffee shop over a pretentious coffee shop!
