Family-Friendly Things to do in Columbus This Weekend:
1. Think Outside the Brick at Columbus Museum of Art
Visit Think Outside The Brick, the annual LEGO display at the Columbus Museum of Art by Ohio LEGO Users’s Group. There will be a museum-wide scavenger hunt, a LEGO brick-building zone and more! This exhibit is included in admission and will be on display daily through March 13, 2025. Don’t forget Sundays are free!
2. Columbus Kids CARE! Share Kindness with Unhoused Youth with Seeds of Caring
In this Anywhere Project from Seeds of Caring, kids 4-12 will assemble personal care kits and write notes of caring for those supported by Huckleberry House, a trusted place for Franklin County youth experiencing homelessness. A perfect activity for families, teams, or groups, you can participate any time through March 23.
3. Crafty Tales at Westerville Public Library
On Friday from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM kids and caregivers can listen to stories and make a craft at Westerville Public Library.
4. Art Afternoon with Ohio Craft Museum
Ohio Craft Museum will be on-site at the Shepard Branch of CML on Friday at 4:00 PM to host a class where kids can learn to felt wool and make a bird on a perch. This class is for ages Kindergarten through 12th grade.
5. Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink
This ice rink in Dublin is open on Fridays from 5–10 p.m., Saturdays from noon–10 p.m. and Sundays from noon–8 p.m. Cost is $12 per person and skates are available for sizes Youth 9 – Adult 13. You may also bring your own skates.
6. Central Ohio STEM Expo at Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center
This free event is for kids ages kindergarten through 8th grade. There will be interactive STEM activities on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. You can register in advance or on the day of the event.
7. Open Studio at Columbus Museum of Art
From 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, stop into the Studio to get creative with all supplies provided! March’s theme is Wonder Creatures. Sensory hour is from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. This activity is included in admission.
8. Saturday Learn & Roll at Skate Zone 71
From 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday at Skate Zone 71 kids can learn to skate with Skate Mates, Fisher Price skates and wrist guards. Saturday’s theme is Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Party. Bring a new or used book to donate and get half-priced admission.
9. Clintonville History Day at Whetstone Library
The Whetstone Branch of CML will host Clintonville History Day on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. There will be a day full of programs and activities. See the full event calendar for specific events.
10. Uptown Cookie Walk
Explore 20 shops and businesses in Uptown Westerville and collect gourmet cookies and chocolate on Saturday between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Tickets are available online.

11. Honda NHL PreGame™ Fan Festival
Before the NHL Stadium Series taking place at Ohio Stadium (see info below), there will be a family-friendly hockey festival and tailgate featuring interactive games and attractions at the parking lots of The O on Lane and Riverwatch Tower beginning at 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
12. Maple Time at Slate Run Farm
Between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, watch sap boiling and sample maple treats at the Farmhouse at Slate Run Farm. At 1:15 PM and 2:00 PM there will be hikes through the sugarbursh.

13. Matilda Jr. Sneak Peek with Hilliard Arts Council at the Hilliard Library
Enjoy a teaser performance of Matilda Jr. at the Hilliard Branch of CML on Saturday at 2:00 PM. There will be crafts and opportunities to meet the actors after the show.
14. Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™
In this unique hockey game that will be played on ice at Ohio Stadium, The Columbus Blue Jackets will take on the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available online.
15. Night at the Museum at Ohio History Center
Experience the Ohio History Center museum after hours and see the exhibits come to life! This family-friendly event offers visitors the opportunity to meet dozens of different characters who will be roaming the museum and to learn all about their unique place in Ohio history. This annual event takes place on Saturday, March 1 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
16. Buckeye Comic Con at Aladdin Shrine Center
This event will feature 32 dealers with over 100,000 comics and toys on Sunday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Aladdin Shrine Center. There will be a food truck on site and kids 8 and under get in free.
17. Community Day at Franklin Park Conservatory
On Community Day at Franklin Park Conservatory, residents of Columbus and Franklin County receive free General Admission. Identification is required. General hours are 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Sunday and there will be a Resource Room available from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The theme is Women’s History Month.
18. Storytime with Author and Illustrator Jashar Awan at Cover to Cover
Join author & illustrator Jashar Awan at Cover to Cover to celebrate his latest picture book Every Monday Mabel on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
19. Secret Lives of Trees at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park
Take a 1-mile hike to learn about trees and how they interact with each other on 2:00 PM on Sunday at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park.

20. Jazz Arts Group at Main Library
The Jazz Arts Group will perform a free concert in the Auditorium at the Main Library on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
