1. Balloon Scavenger Hunt with Erica Carlson at Main Library
Go on a search for winter-inspired balloon creations around the Main Library all day, each day this week, through Saturday. General hours are Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sat: 9:00 AM to 6:00PM and Sun: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
2. Winter Reading Challenge at Grandview Heights Public Library
Between now and February 15, register at the library or online to read books and win prizes through the Winter Reading Challenge. Set a weekly reading goal and earn raffle tickets to win prizes throughout the weeks. Adults can register, too!

3. Wanderlights in Downtown Columbus
Follow this festive path beginning at Columbus Commons down Town Street and ending at Bicentennial Park! Enjoy holiday lights and special displays along the way! Lights will be lit until February 15 from 5 – 10 pm, daily.

4. The Science Behind Pixar at COSI
Enjoy an interactive exhibit that explores the science and technology behind the animated films of Pixar. This exhibit is open during regular business hours (generally Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and requires an additional charge.
5. Pinecone Bird Feeder Craft at Westerville Public Library
Caregivers and children can make a bird feeder out of a pinecone at the Westerville Public Library on Friday at 10:00 AM. All supplies will be provided.
6. Baby and Me Yoga at the Dublin Library
Take a yoga class with your baby from The Balanced Child Method at the Dublin Branch of CML on Friday at 10:00 AM. Bring a mat.
7. Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink
This ice rink in Dublin is open through March 15, 2026. Hours are: Fridays from 5–10 p.m., Saturdays from noon–10 p.m. and Sundays from noon–8 p.m. Cost is $15 per person and free skate rental is available for sizes Youth 9 – Adult 13. You may also bring your own skates (admission is the same cost).
8. Stuffed Animal Sleepover: Drop-Off at Old Worthington Library
Kids ages 8 and under can drop their stuffed animal off at the Old Worthington Library on Saturday between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Return at 2:00 PM on Sunday for a story time and a slideshow to see what the animals were up to overnight!
9. Blendon Woods Winter Hike
Hike any trail at Blendon Woods Metro Park on Saturday between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM and enjoy cocoa and donuts.

10. Storytime with Author & Illustrator Will Hillenbrand at Cover to Cover
Join author & Illustrator Will Hillenbrand in celebration of his latest picture book, The Winding Willow, at Cover to Cover on Saturday at 10:00 AM.

11. Grand Opening of the New Linden Branch – RESCHEDULED for February 6.
Celebrate the grand opening of the newest branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library: Linden! The ribbon cutting will be on Saturday at 10:00 AM. There will be a dedication at 10:30 AM and a celebration with activities for kids, a balloon scavenger hunt, refreshments, commemorative library cards and more from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
12. Souper Heroes at the Worthignton Farmers Market
Please join me for Souper Heroes this coming Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The Columbus Food Bloggers are coming together to provide food and community for those who don’t have enough of either. Come try some soups made by some of our local Columbus Food Bloggers at the Worthington Farmers Market. This event is free to attend and families are welcome! 13. Storytime with Mesha Griffith at Dragonfly Bookshop
Enjoy a storytime with local author Mesha Griffith at Dragonfly Bookshop in Hilliard on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Every purchase of her book The Bedtime Mantra will receive a personalized autograph.
14. Grandparent’s Day at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park
Grandparents can bring their grandchildren to do a craft, help feed the stream and go on an outdoor scavenger hunt on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Battelle Darby Creek Nature Center.
15. LEGO Free Play at Campfire Brewing
Build a LEGO masterpiece while enjoying a drink during this free building time from Bricks & Minifigs Powell at Campfire Brewing on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
16. Mini & Me Valentine’s Date at Maker’s Social
Maker’s Social is offering Mini & Me Valentine’s Dates on Sundays in February and kids get 50% off projects! There are projects for most ages. Hours are 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
17. Straw Rockets: Black History in Space at Westerville Public Library
Learn about Black pioneers of space history at the Westerville Public Library throughout the month of February. Stop in to learn and make a straw rocket during regular business hours, which are Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Sunday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. (This activity begins on Sunday, February 1.)

18. Kid’s Service Project at Southeast or Marion-Franklin Libraries
Kids can do a service project with Seeds of Caring all day on Sunday at both the Southeast Branch and the Marion-Franklin Branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library. Drop in any time to make a card for local first responders. All ages are welcome.
19. Share Gratitude with First Responders with Seeds of Caring
If you can’t attend one of the library events above, you can do this project from home! Help Seeds of Caring make first responders from the Columbus Divisions of Fire and Police feel appreciated, and let them know kids in our community care! Kids 6-12 can say “thanks!” and share a smile by creating messages of gratitude for first responders in our community. This FREE project is ongoing: Families and groups can participate any time through Feb. 22.
20. Glow-in-the-Dark Family Yoga at Westerville Public Library
Participate in glow-in-the-dark yoga for the whole family at this free class presented by The Balanced Child Method at the Westerville Public Library on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
21. Snow Moon Hike at Blacklick Woods Metro Park
Go on a 2-mile hike under the full moon on Sunday from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Blacklick Woods.
