This was the summer I started drinking matcha! And now I’m addicted! FYI, I’m not a purist – I like my matcha *at least* a little bit sweet. If you’re just getting started, I recommend adding a couple vanilla pumps to your drink if it’s not already sweetened.
Many places around town have specialty matcha drinks, so you might want to start with one of the flavored drinks. (Oreo Matcha at Mochinut, anyone?!)If you’re looking for a pure, unsweetened matcha, I’d personally start at Matcha Me Cafe in the campus/Old North area. I think they’re the real deal!
