Pumpkin Patches and Fall Festivals in Columbus and Central Ohio 2022!

Fall is so fun! Here’s a list of area and fall festivals and pumpkin patches in Columbus and Central Ohio! Make sure to take time to to squeeze out every last drop of this glorious season!

During the month of October, many Columbus area farms open up for U-Pick Pumpkin Patches and Fall Festival Weekends that include hay rides, pumpkin picking, bonfires, kettle corn and more! Some of the larger scale farms include zip lines, mini golf, barrel rolling, huge slides, corn mazes, and pettings zoos!

This is a list of those pumpkin farms and fall festival weekends taking place around Central Ohio, most of them within a one hour drive from downtown Columbus!

Features: This farm stand sells pumpkins and mums in the fall. The market is self serve on the weekdays. Weekends will feature vendors and food trucks. Hours are 9:00 AM-7:00 PM. Opening day is September 10, 2022 and runs through October 16, 2022.

Branstool Orchards

CherryHawk Farm

Features: Apple picking throughout the fall and a sunflower field! (Update: No sunflowers in 2022). Admission to the sunflower field is included with a minimum purchase of one peck of apples.

Emswiler Farms

Farm at Walnut Creek

Features: Hosts festival weekends (in the month of October) that include special activities like a corn box, straw maze, sheep shearing, basket weaving, horseshoeing, a pumpkin slingshot and more! Fall festival dates for 2022 will be: September 30th, October 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd. Regular admission applies.

Freeman’s Farm

Open: Fall Market is open daily. Special activities are Saturday and Sunday only.
Features: Beginning September 17, 2022 there will be hayrides, kettle corn, campfire foods, scarecrow making, and a petting zoo. Admission to the farm is free and each activity has its own price.

2022 Dates: Sept. 17-Oct. 23 (Sat 10-5 & Sun 11 AM-5 PM). Farm market is open during festival hours and also and Mon-Fri (with no activities), Sept. 17-Oct. 31 (12 Noon – 7 PM).

Groovy Plants Ranch

Features: This greenhouse and plant haven is a great spot for all your garden and house plant needs and desires! In the fall, the shop is filled with mums and tons of beautiful fall plants. They also have hundreds of pumpkins to choose from from tiny pumpkins to large and very unique pumpkins!

Features: There is a really long list of activities going on throughout all of the weekends beginning September 17th – October 30th, 2022 including food, hayrides, barrel rides, giant legos, corn maze, mini golf, slides, pumpkin picking and tons more! Lohstroh Family Farms

There’s also a sunflower field (through September), corn maze, caterpillar crawl, haystack, graffiti barn wall, photo frames and animals to see on the farm.
