This list of restaurants in Hocking Hills offers options for a quick bite to eat, casual, family-friendly dining or a great cup of coffee!
We love to visit the Hocking Hills region of Ohio! First of all, if you haven’t been to Hocking Hills, you must go! It is an incredibly gorgeous part of Ohio that will surprise you at every turn! Hocking Hills State Park is home to some of Ohio’s best waterfalls and is of the best places to see changing leaves in Ohio in the fall!
One of our favorite hikes in Hocking Hills is at Old Man’s Cave. On a recent trip, that was our first stop! Actually, our first stop was at Coffee Emporium, which is a great coffee shop near Old Man’s Cave that you can read about below. After our caffeine pick me up, we were ready for our first hike of the trip.
There are a lot of fun things to do in Hocking Hills and this list features some of the best restaurants in Hocking Hills! It will help you fill your trip with delicious food, great pizza and amazing scenery along the way! If you’re looking for good food, a cup of coffee or a celebratory dinner, there’s something for everyone!
1. Pizza Crossing
- Address: 58 N Mulberry St, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
If you’ve heard of just one restaurant in Hocking Hills, you’ve probably heard of Pizza Crossing. At least that’s how it was for me! I had seen people singing the praises of Pizza Crossing online over the years so I knew it was one place I wanted to try on our most recent trip to Hocking Hills!
Pizza Crossing is the kind of pizza shop I love: authentic, no frills, amazing pizza. You can get your pizza to go or dine, in. We ate at the restaurant on Mulberry Street in Logan and all four of us loved the pizza!
The pizza is “Columbus style”: cut into squares. (And, if you’re my eight-year-old, you can also find a few tiny triangles around the edges!)
In addition to pizza, Pizza Crossing also sells subs, pasta dishes, wings, chili and appetizers. I thought everything was reasonably priced and it was a great place for an affordable meal out in Hocking Hills for our family.
Insider tip: if you can’t drive all the way to Hocking Hills, there is also a Pizza Crossing in Lancaster, Ohio!
2. Oasis Coffee Shop & More
- Address: 26850 US-33, Rockbridge, OH 43149
- Website
Oasis Coffee shop is such a cute place to stop for coffee on your way to or from the Hocking Hills region! Located in Rockbridge, Ohio, you may have seen it as you’ve driven past the Hocking Hills Flea Market on route 33.
It’s about a 20 minute drive from Oasis Coffee Shop to Hocking Hills State Park, and less than 10 minutes from Clear Creek Metro Park so it makes for a great coffee stop if either of these parks are your destination!
All of us were entertained and enamored by the decor at Oasis Coffee Shop! All of the coffee-themed signage and photo ops made this a really fun stop! Plus, they have enormous donuts and pastries!
Additionally, they have an extensive list of seasonal drinks! When my husband and I stopped. here in the fall, it was hard to choose from all of their Halloween drinks! I got the Brew Boo which featured a mocha with toasted marshmallow!
Also, if you’re looking for more things to do in Hocking Hills, they have a mini golf course attached to the shop! We didn’t have time for a round of golf this time, but I’m keeping it in mind for a future trip the next time I get a craving for a cinnamon roll larger than my head!
They do have a second location called Oasis Coffee Shop 2.0 where they serve coffee out of a truck. They have a nice, permanent set up with patio seating. We didn’t stop there but we drove by several times as we were going to and from our accommodations.
Insider tip: Whether you call them long johns or a cream sticks, don’t pass them up!
3. Rock House Restaurant at Hocking Hills State Park Lodge
- Address: 20020 OH-664, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
I was really excited to visit the new Hocking Hills State Park Lodge! The lodge opened in the fall of 2022 and it is gorgeous! The Lodge at Hocking Hills has an amazing front porch lined with rocking chairs, a gorgeous lobby with sky-high windows and a beautiful back patio with seating and walking paths.
You can follow the hiking trail to Whispering Cave from the Lodge. This is also one of the closest restaurants to Ash Cave.
We had lunch at the Rock House Restaurant and ate out on the patio. It was glorious! The restaurant (inside Hocking Hills State Park Lodge) serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a kids menu.
I had the Bacon and Bleu Salad and my husband had the Yardbird, a chicken sandwich. We both really enjoyed our meals at the Rock House Restaurant! The kids both got burgers which came with a choice of side.
When you’re in Hocking Hills, I would definitely recommend you stop by the Hocking Hills Lodge just to see it! Or even better, spend the night there, so you can enjoy the indoor and outdoor pool and all the amenities! I hope we can stay there someday soon!
Insider Tip: Reservations are required for dinner!
4. Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ
- Address: 12790 Grey St, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
Another restaurant near Hocking Hills that the whole family enjoyed was Millstone BBQ! They have a fun restaurant interior and a great outdoor patio.
Millstone BBQ is a located in Logan, Ohio and the meat is smoked on site. They also bring these incredible little cornbread muffins to the table while you wait accompanied by some kind of magic butter that transforms them into some kind of delicacy!
My husband and I shared the Meat Sampler which gives you a little bit of everything. It was way more than enough food for the two of us! They do have a kids menu here, too, but my kids got the boneless chicken wings from the appetizer menu and they were a hit.
We had great weather during our trip to Hocking Hills so we enjoyed sitting out on the patio. They have live entertainment on the patio on Fridays and Saturdays. But, it looks like fun to eat inside, too!
Insider Tip: They definitely have a family-friendly atmosphere and kids eat for $.99 on Wednesdays!
5. Old Man’s Cave General Store
- Address: 18809 OH-664, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
After a challenging hike to Whispering Cave and back in Hocking Hills State Park, we all wanted (no, needed) ice cream! Who can pass up a trip to Old Man’s Cave General Store when they have a huge sign outside boasting over 32 flavors of soft serve?
This is a popular spot for ice cream in Hocking Hills! So popular that they encourage you to know your order before stepping up to the cash register! Let’s keep that line moving, people!
I’m a classic girl, so I just got vanilla! But my husband got espresso and my kids both choose cotton candy flavored ice cream! It hit the spot! There is some seating outdoors on the patio, but it can get pretty busy. Nevertheless, it’s a must-stop spot for refreshment in Hocking Hills!
Insider Tip: The Menu is posted outside on the patio so you can be sure of your order before getting in line!
6. Hocking Hills Coffee Emporium
- Address: 13984 OH-664 Scenic, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
Another great coffee shop in the Hocking Hills region is Coffee Emporium.
This public coffee shop is part of Hocking Hills Inn. They sell all kinds of coffee drinks plus amazing looking desserts and baked goods!
I did take note that they also sell premade sandwiches. We had packed a lunch for our first day at Hocking Hills State Park but it would have been really convenient to pick up a picnic lunch here on the way!
There is seating inside the coffee shop and they also have outdoor patios upstairs on the deck and outside on the main landing. Coffee Emporium also sells local honey, maple syrup, souvenirs and other local products.
The Coffee Emporium is super close to Lake Logan State Park and less than 20 minutes from the Hocking Hills State Park Visitor’s Center at Old Mans Cave.
Insider tip: Take a photo op on one of the extra large Hocking Hills rocking chairs!
7. Grandma Faye’s Grocery and Carryout
- Address: 20507 OH-664 S, Logan, OH 43138
- Facebook Page
Grandma Faye’s isn’t a sit down restaurant in the Hocking Hills area, but I think it’s worth mentioning as a destination for food. We stopped here to pick up milk and a few basic items since we were staying in a nearby cabin.
Grandma Faye’s sells a little bit of everything including souvenirs, camping gear and grocery items. They also sell premade sandwiches, pre-cut fruit, snacks and cheese. This is another place where you could conveniently pick up items for a picnic lunch! They also have tables and chairs out front if you want to eat there!
Insider Tip: Don’t miss the back room with all the fun souvenirs, toys and yard decor!
8. Hocking Hills Diner
- Address: 2217 E Front St, Logan, OH 43138
- Facebook Page
Another cozy, down-home dining option in Hocking Hills is the Hocking Hills Diner! This is a popular restaurant in Hocking Hills serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We visited on a Saturday for brunch and the place was hopping! We didn’t have to wait long for a seat, though. The diner is filled with wooden booths and farmhouse decor.
They have an extensive breakfast menu featuring egg dishes, omelets, hotcakes and signature breakfast dishes. Lunch and dinner options include down-home main dishes like meatloaf, pork shops, and country fried steak as well as a senior menu and a kid’s menu. This is definitely the spot for comfort food in Hocking Hills!
I was feeling nostalgic and ordered the daily special of chipped beef on toast! This is one dish I specifically remember my mom teaching me to make! It hit the spot!
Insider Tip: Check the whiteboard just inside the door or their daily Facebook post to see the daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.
9. 58 West
- Address: 58 W 2nd St, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend in Hocking Hills and had a celebratory dinner at 58 West. This is a little bit pricier of an option when it comes to dining in Hocking Hills, but we loved it for our anniversary!
58 West has a large dining room and a large covered patio. Both were filled on the Saturday night in October when we dined there.
It’s definitely a popular spot and I would recommend dinner reservations if you’re planning to eat there on a weekend night. 58 West is probably one of the “fancier” restaurants near Hocking Hills, but it still has a fun, casual atmosphere.
58 West is located in downtown Logan and is operated by Hocking Hills Winery. The restaurant also partners with Motherwell Distilling and Hocking Hills Brewing Company to round out their drink menu. If you’d like to do a beer or wine tasting, they offer flights for either option!
I had the salmon and my husband had the steak and we both loved our meals. For dessert we split the Chocolate Torte which was incredible!
Insider Tip: If you want to dine here but save a few bucks, visit at lunch time for a selection of handhelds, salads and soup.
10. Hocking Hills Bagel Company
- Address: 40 N Market St, Logan, OH 43138
- Facebook Page
Another restaurant in downtown Logan that is worth a visit is the Hocking Hills Bagel Company. They have a large selection of bagel sandwiches including lunch and breakfast options.
Hocking Hills Bagel Company also serves coffee drinks including seasonal offerings, coffee flights and cold brew!
We stopped in for lunch after hiking the nearby Cedar Falls trail! My husband ordered the Mack Daddy, pictured here. You can also build your own bagel sandwich, so I ordered the Green Goddess (cream cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and onion) and added bacon. Cause that’s how I roll.
Don’t worry, if you’re a purist you can order a “topless bagel” with cream cheese. They even have mini bagel flights if you can’t decide which of their many cream cheese flavors you want to try!
Hocking Hills Bagel Co closes at 3:00 PM every day so this is strictly a stop for breakfast or lunch when you’re in Hocking Hills!
Insider Tip: The restaurant has a back entrance into the cute shop SimpliCity Threads so make plans to do a little shopping after your meal!
11. TheFeed
- Address: 428 E Front St, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
TheFeed is a casual restaurant in Logan, Ohio, not far from Hocking Hills State Park! All of the food is made from scratch and the menu features sandwiches, wings and smash burgers! There is a Kids Menu with grilled cheese, boneless chicken, mac and cheese, burgers and pita pizzas.
I enjoyed a salmon BLT and sweet potato fries. My husband got a burger and onion rings. The kids enjoyed the chicken and pretzel bites!
TheFeed offers a large, unique selection of non-alcoholic drinks! There are several canned items, specialty mocktails, and NA Beer and Wine.
Insider Tip: Check the menu board for daily specials!
12. Oasis 2.0
- Address: 30775 Lake Logan Rd, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
Oasis 2.0 (the second location of Oasis Hocking Coffee Shop listed above) is located near Lake Logan and it has a drive-through!
The coffee shop operates out of a vintage Airstream and has a great outdoor patio and rooftop deck! There were several tables with umbrellas on both levels and some hammock chairs, too! We had fun visiting this unique concept for our caffeine fix in Hocking Hills!
I tried the seasonal drink Wildwood which featured a maple cold foam and it was delicious! The boys enjoyed their non-coffee refreshers that are made with lemonade, Sprite and various flavored syrups of your choice.
This is a really fun stop for coffee but it’s pretty weather dependent. There is one covered area, pictured above but that seating is limited. If it’s raining, you’re gonna wanna hit up the drive through or try their original location in Rockbridge.
Insider Tip: This is the only coffee shop in Hocking Hills with a drive-thru!
13. Papa Dino’s Pizzeria
- Address: 21996 OH-664, South Bloomingville, OH 43152
- Website
Another spot for pizza in the Hocking Hills Region is Papa Dino’s! This restaurant in South Bloomingville is just 7 minutes from Old Man’s Cave! It’s a convenient spot for a hearty meal after a long hike!
We ordered a pepperoni pizza and the garlic knots! The large pizza has 8 pieces and was enough for our family of 4 but you may need more if your kids have bigger appetites!
The pizza was delicious (if not a bit messy) and has a sweet sauce (my favorite)! The garlic knots were a hit with all of us.
This great shop also sells pasta, wings, calzones, and subs and has a lot of appetizer options! The store has a large selection of beer and wine!
Insider tip: This pizza shop only offers outdoor seating. There is a large covered patio in front and a nice side area with picnic tables, but plan on takeout if the weather isn’t great!
14. Maya Burrito Co.
- Address: 12 E Main St, Logan, OH 43138
- Website
If you’re in the mood for Mexican food, hit up Maya Burrito in downtown Logan! The restaurant operates just like Chipotle: choose a bowl, tacos, a burrito, salad or quesadilla and choose your toppings as you move down the line.
I had a burrito and my husband chose a bowl. The kids got chicken tacos. The queso was really good – don’t miss that! My burrito was so huge I had to ask for a bowl because it fell apart when I ate it!
Maya Burrito has a large indoor eating space and a very relaxed environment! It’s a great spot to eat at in Hocking Hills with kids! They also have a great outdoor patio!
I hope your family finds something to enjoy at one of these Hocking Hills restaurants! I can’t believe Hocking Hills State Park is only an hour from Columbus! Hocking Hills is an Ohio gem and a must-visit destination!
