1. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Scavenger Hunt at Lane Road Library

This scavenger hunt is open anytime during the month of April at the Lane Road Library. Search for The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the foods he eats in the story.

2. Easton Egg Hunt at Easton Town Center

The Easter Bunny has scattered eggs all around Easton! Use the list of clues (at the link above) to find the eggs and receive a special treat. Pick up your scavenger hunt worksheet at the Guest Services desk and turn it back in when you find 5 or more eggs to get a prize! This event is going on from March 24 – April 16, 2023. Try out one of these family-friendly restaurants at Easton when you visit!

3. Hello, Baby! Collect New or Gently Used Baby Items for Moms2B with Seeds of Caring

Seeds of Caring knows that you’re never too little to make a difference! Kids 2-12 will gain empathy for loving families who are having a hard time providing everything their babies need. Then helping hands will collect new or gently used baby clothes, books, blankets, and more for Moms2B through May 14. You’ll even get a flyer to help your child conduct their own neighborhood clothing drive, if you choose.

Want to play in a rock band? If you have no experience or want to learn how to rock on stage and in life, come along to our FREE OPEN HOUSE on April 15th from 1-4 pm. We’d love to show you around and get you playing in a band within an hour on your preferred instrument!

4. Open Late at The Works

On the 2nd Friday of the month, The Works stays open late for hands-on fun from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM! Included in regular admission or membership. Read about more fun things to do in Newark, Ohio when you visit!

5. Open Studio at Columbus Museum of Art

Open Studio at Columbus Museum of Art offers art activities for kids on Saturday from 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM. The theme is In Bloom and will feature botanical art! Included in admission.

6. Hilltop Spring Jamboree at West Gate Lodge

This free, family-friendly event on Saturday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM includes live music, art activities like an instrument petting zoo, food trucks, community booths and more! Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy 5 live music acts.

7. Open House at School of Rock Columbus

This Open House at Columbus School of Rock on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM will include free lessons, prizes, rock star hair, live performances and more! Special discounts will be available when you sign up for lessons and camps!

8. Turtles at Blendon Woods Metro Park

Meet at the Nature Center at Blendon Woods Metro Park on Saturday at 1:00 PM to learn about the species of turtles you can find in Ohio and meet a live turtle! This event includes a short hike to the lake.

9. Westerville Art Hop

This event on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM celebrates art in Uptown Westerville! There will be artists, live music and a Kiddie Hop with activities for kids! See the link for all of the activities.

10. 150 Laughs Juggling Show at Dublin Branch of CML

This comical juggling show by Tom Sparough celebrates the 150th birthday of Columbus Metropolitan Library! The show takes place on Saturday at the Dublin Branch at 2:00 PM. Read about more fun things to do in Dublin while you’re there

11. Creative Movement with BalletMet at the Hilltop Branch of CML

BalletMet instructors will offer 30 minutes of movement and dance for kids at the Hilltop Branch on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

12. The Dineh Tah’ Navajo Dancers and the Legacy of General William T. Sherman at Ohio History Center

This event at Ohio History Center features the Dineh Tah’ Navajo Dancers as they perform traditional songs and dances. There will also be a presentation on Lancaster-born Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman. This event starts at 12:00 PM on Sunday and is included in admission or with membership.

13. Pickerington PetFest in Victory Park

This free, family-friendly event takes place on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM and features demonstrations, pet contests and pet-related vendors. Your pets are welcome!

14. Symphony Storytime at Ohio Theatre

This kid-friendly concert by Columbus Symphony will feature the greatest hits from Tchaikovsky and other storybook heroes. Dress as your favorite storybook character and enjoy activities throughout the theatre like crafts, games, photos with Bee-thoven and more! Activities begin on Sunday at 2:00 PM and the concert starts at 3:00 PM. You can attend this event for free with your Columbus Metropolitan Library library card! See details here.

15. Family Fun and Game at Tremont Road Library

Enjoy family games, crafts and STEAM projects on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Tremont Road Library. Ages 2 and up.
