Family-Friendly Things to do in Columbus, Ohio This Weekend:

1. Take-and-Make Valentine’s Day Cards for Kids at Easton Town Center

Stop by the Guest Services Desk at Easton for a free make-and-take Valentine craft for kids! They will be available now through February 18th.

2. Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink

This temporary ice rink is right near the Dublin Link pedestrian bridge and will be open for skating on Friday nights and on Saturday and Sunday! This rink will be up through mid-March. They will be open on Presidents Day (Feb. 19) from noon to 6:00 PM.

3. FOOD = LOVE With This Kid-Friendly February Project with Seeds of Caring

Share love with neighbors in need with this at-home project from Seeds of Caring and the Mid-Ohio Food Collective! Kids ages 2-12 will learn about food insecurity, then decorate and pack a high-protein meal kit for a local family. Participate at home, school, or wherever you are through Feb. 26.

4. Explore More at Worthington Park Library

Kids and caregivers will enjoy songs, rhymes and books focused on getting kids ready for Kindergarten on Friday at 10:30 AM.

5. Winter Crafternoon at Blendon Woods Nature Center

Enjoy a fun craft in the Nature Center at Blendon Woods Metro Park on Friday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

6. Bingo Night at Family Room Coffee & Bakeshop

Play Bingo at Family Room Coffee & Bake Shop on Friday night from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM for free! All ages are welcome and you can win treats and goodies!

7. Three Creeks Winter Hike

Hike any trail at Three Creeks Metro Park and enjoy refreshments between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday.

8. Puzzle Exchange at Hilliard Library

Bring a puzzle, take a puzzle at this puzzle exchange at the Hillard Branch of CML on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 11:30 PM.

9. Open Studio at Columbus Museum of Art

Enjoy an open studio time to create at Columbus Museum of Art on Saturday from 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM. February’s theme is Paws and Claws. Drop in during the day to create animal-inspired masterpieces!

10. Singing, Drumming and Dancing with BabaaRitah at Whetstone Library

This call-and-response program celebrates African history, unity and culture. You can participate in song, dance and drumming from West Africa on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Great for ages 7-11.

11. Hands-on History at Ohio History Center

Kids ages 3-7 can enjoy hands-on stations and a storytime at Ohio History Center on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. An adult guardian must be present. 12. Squirrel Studies at Blacklick Woods Nature Center

Meet at the Nature Center at Blacklick Woods Metro Park to learn about squirrels and take a half-mile hike to look for them in the park! This event begins on Saturday at 1:00 PM.

13. An Afternoon with Illustrator Rafael Rosado at Cover to Cover

Join illustrator Rafael Rosado to celebrate his latest book, Call Me Iggy, a young adult graphic novel for ages 14 and up. This event will take place on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

14. Live Animals with Ohio Wildlife Center at Highbanks Metro Park

Meet live animals from Ohio Wildlife Center. Bring an item to donate for their care! This event will take place at the Nature Center on Saturday from 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM.

15. Sunday Family Funday Valentine’s Edition at The Draft Room

Family Funday will take place on Sunday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM and includes free crafts and fun activities for kids!

16. President’s Day at COSI

COSI is open for special hours on Monday, February 19, 2024! COSI will be open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM with all regular exhibits open!

17. President’s Day at Ohio History Center

Visit Ohio History Center between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM for special President’s Day programming including a portrayal of Victoria Woodhull, a story time (at 1:00 PM) with Ohio author Keila Dawson, a visit with Abraham Lincoln and more! Included in admission. Reservations are recommended but not required.

18. The Bugman at Franklin Park Conservatory

On Monday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM join “The Bugman” to learn about and hold creepy, crawly bugs! Included in admission.

19. For Kids: Winter Sensory Hike at Highbanks Metro Park

Take a guided hike that includes activities to engage the senses at Highbanks Metro Park on Monday at 1:00 PM. Great for ages 6-12.

20. KidX Bestie Bash at Polaris Fashion Place

This event takes place on Monday at Polaris Fashion Place at 5:00 PM. It includes singing and dancing with some of your favorite characters, face painting, balloon twisting, a craft and more!
