1. Riverside Crossing Park And Coffman Park Seasonal Ice Rink

2. Holiday Bricktacular Event At Legoland Columbus

Visit Legoland Discovery Center Columbus for their final weekend of Holiday Bricktacular! This event features holiday themed builds, snowy scenes in Miniland, candy cane scavenger hunt, Lego Dots holiday themed bracelet making and more! See link for tickets, times and pricing.

3. Conservatory Aglow at Franklin Park Conservatory

Conservatory Aglow offers special holiday decorations, performances and evening hours at Franklin Park Conservatory through January 8, 2023. Throughout the season live music and special events are scheduled and the Conservatory is decorated for the holidays. Also, make sure not to miss the gingerbread competition beginning December 1 and the Paul Busse Garden Railway! Hours are 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM each night and advanced reservations are recommended.

4. Huntington Holiday Train Display In Downtown Main Columbus Metropolitan Library

November 21st through January 8th visit the main library in downtown Columbus to see the Huntington Holiday Train Display. This is a must see for all train lovers during the holiday season! 

5. Play And Learn At Miller Park Library

Friday January 6th at 10am visit Miller Park library for an hour filled with play-based learning activities.

6. Friday Fun-Make Your Own Puppet At Martin Luther King Library

Friday January 6th at 3pm visit Columbus Metropolitan MLK branch for a fun hands on activity of puppet making.

7. Draw Your Own Winter Wonderland At Hilltop Library 

Friday January 6th at 4pm visit Columbus Metropolitan Hilltop branch to draw your own winter wonderland. 

8. STEAM Club: Insect Or Isopod At Whetstone Library

Friday January 6th at 4:30pm visit Columbus Metropolitan Whetstone branch for STEAM club. This week insects and isopods will be featured.

9. Full Wolf Moon Hike At Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Friday January 6th at 5pm visit Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park for a brisk all-terrain 4-mile hike in observance of the Full Wolf Moon!

10. Wolf Moon Hike At Blacklick Woods Metro Golf Course

Friday January 6th at 7pm visit Blacklick Woods Metro Golf Course for a hike in honor of the first full moon of the year.

11. Take It & Make It 2023 Vision Board At JoAnn’s

Saturday January 8th visit your local JoAnn’s store for their Take It & Make It event. This month they will feature vision boards that can be made to set fun goals for 2023! See link for locations and details. First come, first serve.

12. Kid’s Workshops At The Home Depot

Saturday January 8th visit your local Home Depot for their Kid’s Workshop event. This month the project being made is a snowball game! See link for registration and details.

13. Stories And More At Tremont Road Library

Saturday January 8th at 10:30am visit Tremont Road Library for Stories and More! This family friendly event will feature stories, fun guests and more!

14. Open Studio At Columbus Museum Of Art

Saturday January 8th at 11am visit Columbus Museum Of Art and enjoy their open studio! A variety of materials will be available to work with to create your own masterpiece. This event is included with admission. See link for tickets and pricing.

15. Hike All Trails At Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Saturday January 8th at 11am visit Blacklick Woods Metro Park for a day filled with hiking all of the trails!

16. For Kids: Fort Building At Sharon Woods Metro Park

Saturday January 8th at 1pm visit Sharon Woods Metro Park for a muddy afternoon of exploring and fort building using natural items found in the woods.

17. Owls Of Darby Creek

Saturday January 8th at 5:30pm visit Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park for an evening with a naturalist as you lure owls for a closer look.

18. Free Sundays At Columbus Museum Of Art

Sunday January 9th starting at 10am visit Columbus Museum Of Art for a day filled with exploring the museum and enjoying all it has to offer at no charge. See link for details.

19. Sunday Family Games And Activities At Tremont Road Library

Sunday January 9th at 2pm visit Tremont Road Library for an afternoon of family games, activities and STEAM projects.

20. Winter Fungi At Blendon Woods Metro Park

Sunday January 9th at 2pm visit Blendon Woods Metro Park for an afternoon with a naturalist as you take a 2-mile hike all while searching for cold weather fungi.

21. Kids’ Voices Matter! Explore Kid-Friendly Social Action for MLK Day

Kind kids ages 6-12 will learn about social action through age-appropriate activities that honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., then use their voices to tell Seeds of Caring and Pint Size Protesters what change they want to see in their community. Families and groups can participate in this FREE activity at home, school — or wherever you are! — through Jan. 31.
