Looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend in Columbus? Try out one of these family-friendly Columbus and Ohiobased events and activities!

1. Visit a Farmers Market

Farmers Markets are popping up all over Columbus! Check out the link for a list of Farmers Markets for every day of the week!

2. Friday Fun Days at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum

Friday mornings from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM in July families can visit the National Veterans Memorial and Museum for $5/person and participate in family fun enrichment activities, take a private tour, speak with a Veteran and more! This program is designed for 4th – 12th graders.

3. Too Good Eats Cafe at The Hills Market Downtown

Visit the Too Good Eats Cafe popping up at The Hills Market Downtown on Fridays from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM for a popsicle bar and artisan drinks!

4. KidX Summer Series 2021 at Polaris Fashion Place

Fridays from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM head to Polaris Fashion Place for KidX Summer Series! This Friday the theme is Beat the Heat! 

5. Popcorn Pops at Columbus Commons

This Friday night concert by Columbus Symphony is designed with kids in mind. Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30 PM and the concert begins at 7:00 and last one hour. The theme is All the Colors of Columbus. Tickets are available online. Kids up to age 12 are free with a paying adult. Stay afterwards for the free movie night (details below)!

6. Friday Nights Uptown in Marysville

Head to Uptown Marysville for live music and food beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday!

7. Music in the Park and Cruise-In Car Show at Stradley Place

Enjoy classic rock music by The Gas Pump Jockeys and a classic car show! There will be kids activities, Kona Ice and live dance performances! Activities begin at 6:00 PM on Friday.

8. Family Paint Night at The Five Party & Event Center

Family Paint Night includes open play, craft supplies and refreshments! $15/person or $45 for a family of 4. Begins at 6:00 PM on Friday. Register online.

9. FREE Dinner LUAU Skate at Skate Zone 71

On Friday night from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM paid admission includes skate rental, a slice of cheese pizza and a drink and a free lei necklace.

10. Movies Under The Stars- JAWS at Green Lawn Abbey Preservation Association

Watch the movie Jaws (rated PG) on the lawn at Green Lawn Abbey. Food truck will be available beginning at 6:30 PM until the movie starts at dusk on Friday. $5/person.

11. Movie on the Lawn: SING at Compassion Christian Church 

Enjoy a night of karaoke beginning at 8:00 PM and the movie Sing at 9:00 PM. Concessions will be available for purchase. Bring a blanket or lawn chair! 

12. Free Movie Night at Columbus Commons

Watch a free movie under the stars at 8:15 PM on Friday night at Columbus Commons. The movie is Trolls World Tour.

13. Croc Talk – Presented by Newport Aquarium at Pickerington Public Library

Learn about crocodiles, alligators and more from an expert from Newport Aquarium on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Register online.

14. Meet and greet with Chuck and the Author of Bonded by Battle at Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers

This Rescue Dog reading on Saturday at 10:00 AM includes the author Nancy Roe Pimm, Sergeant Charles Shuck and rescue dogs! This event will be held at Upper Arlington’s Mallway Park and Veteran’s Plaza.

15. July Saturday Art Brunch at 3060 Gallery

Visit 3060 Gallery and other local businesses during Saturday’s Art Brunch from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM which also includes live jazz music and Broke Johnny food truck. 

16. 10TV and Metro Parks Outdoor Adventure at Highbanks Metro Park

This free event includes outdoor activities for all ages such as zip lining, a waterslide, creeking and more! There will also be food trucks on site, live animals and the 10TV news team! Event takes place on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. 

17. Lancaster Family Fun Fest

On Saturday from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM enjoy an outdoor concert, games, food and a kids play zone at Alley Park in Lancaster. 

18. Beach Days “Sand Jar w/ Irish Charm” (Kraft Session) at Dublin Toy Emporium

Complete a craft and go on a themed hunt in the toy store! Register in advance for a session on Saturday afternoon.

19. Summer Fruit Pottery Workshop at Busy Bees Pottery & Arts Studio

Paint your favorite summer fruit on a potter plate on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Registration required.
