1. Kids Dream Winter Film Series At Marcus Theatres
Starting January 13th through April 2nd visit Marcus Theatres for Kids Dream Winter Film Series. This event features a line up of family films and an opportunity for free tickets when you redeem vouchers through American Family Insurance. See link for tickets, times and pricing.
2. For Kids: Salamander Dance at Blacklick Woods Nature Center
Friday at 10:00 AM, read the Salamander Dance by David FitzSimmons and enjoy an activity and craft based on the book.
3. For Kids: Nature Discovery Hike at Highbanks Metro Park
Meet on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Nature Center at Highbanks Metro Park to take a hike to look for signs of spring! This event is great for ages 3 and up.
4. Friday Fun – Dungeons and Dragons at Columbus Library, Martin Luther King Branch
On Friday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM kids can create a character and go on adventures full of monsters and mystery! All experience levels are welcome. Ages K-12th grade.
5. Open Late! At The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology

6. Princess Pajama Party at Paulettes Palace & Productions
Enjoy a magical evening with the Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Ariel and Tianna. Wake up the sleeping princesses and enjoy singing, dancing, crafts, story time and more! This event takes place on Friday at 5:45 PM. Tickets are available online.
7. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration in Dublin, Ohio
Begin the day with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 AM, the balloon inflation at 9:30 AM and then the parade steps off at 11:00 AM. See the link for more details including the parade route.
8. Vernal Pool Exploration at Glacier Ridge Metro Park
Explore a vernal pool at Glacier Ridge Metro Park! Prepare to get muddy! This event takes place on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Meet by the shelter house.
9. Friends of the Library Big Book Sale (Children’s Books Only) at Main Library
This Big Book Sale at the Main Library features Children’s Book starting at $1! Dates will be Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
10. Saturday Boardgame Fun at Coffee Underground
This event by Columbus Area Boardgaming Society will be held from 10:00 AM – Midnight on Saturday. Play boardgames all day! Your first visit is free.
11. March Hilltop Hop
Shop the businesses of Broad & Westmoor for the March Hilltop Hop! Slice of Heaven Bakery will have a pop up shop with St. Patrick’s Day goodies at The Design Refinery and there will be painting pottery at Clay Street Ceramics and more on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
12. St. Patrick’s All Day Candle Making at Busy Bees Pottery & Arts Studio
On Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM create a sham-ROCKIN scented candle! Choose from different glass forms, scents and wax colors. Register online.
13. Kids Slime Making & Acrylic Paint Pour Class at Terra Gallery
Kids will make slime and then create an abstract acrylic painting on Saturday at 1:00 PM. This class is for kids and teens of all ages. Tickets are available online and should be purchased by 3/10.
14. The Dispatch Family Value Pack: CBJ vs St. Louis Blues
This family night out with the Columbus Blue Jackets includes a game ticket, Chiller skate pass and value meal. There will also be a poster making station, photo stations, Bubble Hockey and more. Price starts at $30/person. The match starts at 7:00 PM on Saturday.
15. Ready for Kindergarten Family Storytime at Main Library
On Sunday from 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM families can enjoy a story time and activities that build reading skills at the Main Library in downtown Columbus.
16. Black Joy: A Family Film Series – Akeelah and the Bee at McConnell Arts Center
This series features a family-friendly movie on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM celebrating the Black experience. This weekend’s movie is Akeelah and the Bee. Tickets can be reserved online for free. Refreshments will available for purchase.
17. Group Give-Back Opportunity: Collect Gently Used Books for Kids
Is your team, troop, youth group, family, or class ready to share kindness in our community? Help kids start a lifelong love of reading by collecting gently used children’s books (and making fun bookmarks!) for the local, kid-founded Read to Succeed Foundation. Participate in this Seeds of Caring Anywhere Project any time through March 19.
