FRIDAY

9:00 AM – Science Festival hosted by COSI – all around the city, science-themed events are happening this weekend! There are over 100 community events, 15 Citywide Star Parties and a Big Science Celebration on Saturday! Click the link for the list of events happening all over Central Ohio!

10:00 AM – Forest Fridays at Sunbury Urban Farm – children ages 2-5 can enjoy a nature activity and forest play time. Siblings are welcome. No registration required. $5 suggested donation.

10:00 AM – Nutt and Bolt – Theatre for the Very Young at Columbus Children’s Theatre – this 30 minute play is perfect for kids ages 2-6! Nutt and Bolt are two robots who like to dance, build towers and create new machines together!

10:00 AM – Zoo Babies presented by First Financial Bank at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden – like baby animals? Take a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo to search out six-foot-tall stork statues that will be leading visitors to all of the the baby animals that have been born at the zoo recently! Included in admission.

11:00 AM – City of Powell Touch-A-Truck in the City’s Municipal Building Parking Lot – get up close to dozens of vehicles and learn about how vehicles work!

11:30 AM – Nutt and Bolt – Theatre for the Very Young at Columbus Children’s Theatre – this 30 minute play is perfect for kids ages 2-6! Nutt and Bolt are two robots who like to dance, build towers and create new machines together!

12:00 PM – Rita’s National Italian Ice Day! at Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard (Henderson Road, OH) – download the Rita’s Ice mobile app between April 22nd and May 3rd and you will receive a free regular Italian ice offer redeemable in store only on May 3rd!

5:30 PM – Fairy Boards with Kreation’s by Kaitlyn at Dublin Toy Emporium – create a fairy board with grass, a woodland creature and a popup flower or tree! $65 per parent and child, $5 for an additional child. Call to register.

6:00 PM – Citywide Star Party and STEAM Family Night at McCord Park – enjoy hands on STEM activities inside the Community Center and outdoor stargazing through a telescope. This is a free, family-friendly event.

6:00 PM – Friday Night Grand Slam at Windsor Park – check out baseball skills competitions, bounce house and family-friendly entertainment to celebrate the opening of the Grove City Little League baseball season.

7:00 PM – Blacklick Woods Star Party: Creatures of the Night at Blacklick Woods Metro Park – learn about stargazing from the experts. Bring binoculars and blankets. There will be a food truck on site.

7:00 PM – Disney’s Frozen Junior at Columbus Performing Arts Center – Grandview Carriage Place Players performs Frozen Jr. based on the 2018 Broadway Musical. Tickets are $5 at the door.

7:00 PM – Glacier Ridge Star Party: Astronomy at Glacier Ridge Metro Park  – learn about stargazing from the experts. Bring binoculars and blankets. There will be a food truck on site.

7:00 PM – Haroun and the Sea of Stories at Columbus School for Girls by CATCO for Kids – – this play is the story of Haroun, who sets off on an adventure filled with talking animals and magicians!

7:00 PM – Bradley Theater Presents: The Addams Family at Bradley Theater – watch this original performance featuring The Addams Family! Wednesday brings her “normal” boyfriend home for dinner! Performed by Hilliard Bradly Theater.

7:00 PM – Scioto Grove Star Party: Glow Up the Night at Scioto Grove Metro Park  – learn about stargazing from the experts. Bring binoculars and blankets. There will also be glow in the dark archery!

9:00 PM – Sunset Cinemas at The Daily Growler: The Goonies at The Daily Growler – Polaris – watch a free movie under the stars! Bring lawn chairs and blankets!

9:00 AM – May the Fourth be with You Walk to Cure Arthritis at Columbus Commons – participate in a walk to cure arthritis that begins at 10:00 AM. The celebration beginning at 9:00 AM includes free carousel rides, music, kids activities, crafts and games, a costume contest, food vendors and more! Come in costume!

10:00 AM – Children’s Fishing at Sharon Woods Metro Park – this event is a chance for kids 17 and younger to learn to fish in Schrock Lake! Limited bait and poles are provided.

10:00 AM – Cowvin’s Kiddie Corral and Moovers & Shakers Open Weekends at Young’s Jersey Dairy – the Moovers and Shakers ride is open as well as Cowvin’s Kiddie Corral featuring a corn pit and slide, Tyke’s Tractors, a straw pit and bale climbing and more!

10:00 AM – Free Comic Book Day at Laughing Ogre Comics – this event includes familyfriendly activities, the Ghostbusters, costumed heroes, kids comics creation events, a martial arts sword demonstration and more!

11:00 AM – Geocaching & Letterboxing at Green Lawn Cemetery – learn about geocaching and letterboxing while taking a trek through the cemetery! This is a family friendly event!

5:00 PM – “A Magical Night Out” (Parent’s/Grandparent’s Night Out) at Dublin Toy Emporium – drop the kids off for a magic show, play time, dinner an more! Call to reserve your spot!

6:00 PM – Game Night during Hilltop Art Hop at The Design Refinery – stop in during the Hilltop Art Hop for a family-friendly game night!

10:00 AM Community Days at Franklin Park Conservatory – on the first Sunday of each month, the Conservatory is free for residents of Franklin County and the City of Columbus (with valid ID) during regular operating hours.
