FRIDAY:

9:00 AM – Customer Appreciation Weekend at Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn in Westerville – November 1-3 is Customer Appreciation Weekend and customers will receive a $5 gift card and a Shirley’s 2020 calendar with the purchase of $10 or more.  

10:00 AM – 1st Anniversary Celebration! at Beanbag Books – celebrate the first year of new ownership at Beanbag Books! There will be special deals, cupcakes and fun activities!

10:00 AM – Forest Fridays at Sunbury Urban Farm – enjoy a playtime in the woods and a 30 minute nature activity. $5 suggested donation. All ages welcome.

10:00 AM – First Friday Storytime at Blendon Woods Metro Park – kids ages 2-6 can enjoy stories about animals and nature!

10:00 AM – Toddler Open Gym at Thompson Recreation Center – drop in for a free Open Gym time at the rec center!

10:15 AM – Miss Marlene at Hoot Studio – enjoy musical instruments, singing and dancing! $15 includes playtime at Hoot Studio until noon. $10 for additional children.

3:00 PM – Friday Fun – STEAM Club at CML Hilliard Branch – kids in grades K-12 can participate in a STEAM-themed activity!

5:30 PM – Carnival Night at Indian Mound Mall – this event at the mall will feature carnival games, arcade games, a magic show, face painting, a DJ, bounce house and more! $8 for a wristband for all activities. Or preregister online to save $1.

6:00 PM – Family Friendly First Fridays at The Rambling House – enjoy kid-friendly music at a lower volume!

6:00 PM – Night at the Air Force Museum at National Museum of the U.S. Air Force – head to Dayton for this special night at the Air Force Museum! There is free admission and parking! There will be military reenacts, Star Wars characters, zoo animals, movies and lots of free activities for kids! 

6:30 PM – Kids Night Out! Fall Favorites at Young Chefs Academy of Gahanna – drop your kids off for a hands-on cooking experience! Ages 6 and up. $35.

Holiday Sip ‘n’ Shop

10:00 AM – Make a Hiking Stick at Three Creeks Metro Park – make your own hiking stick. All materials provided!

10:00 AM – Kids Skate Free at Skate Zone 71 – click this link and message Skate Zone 71 on FB to receive one of the limited free admission tickets for Saturday! Ages 14 and under. 

10:00 AM – Author Visit at Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers – come meet author Aiko Ikegami as she presents her new picture book Hello, a story of an intergalactic explorer’s first visit to earth!

10:45 AM – Kid-Fun-Club at Worthington Farmers Market – drop your child off at Paulettes Palace and Production during the Worthington Indoor Farmer’s Market for an hour of singing, dancing, crafts, story time and more! There will be visits from your favorite characters. You must register in advance. 

11:00 AM – Halloween with the Dorks at Car Dorks Mobile Wash and Detail – this is a family friendly Halloween Event that will feature a not-so-haunted house, a costume contest, trunk or treat and a sensory hour from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

11:30 AM – Free MEALS for KIDS! at Hilltop YMCA – free meals will be available for kids until 12:30 PM.

11:30 AM – PBJ & Jazz with Soul Revival at Lincoln Theatre – enjoy a kid-friendly jazz concert plus kids get a PB&J sandwich, juice and a cookie! $5/person. Family max of $20.

1:00 PM – National Bison Day at Battelle Darby Nature Center – this National Bison Day Celebration will include crafts, games, snacks and a short walk!

2:00 PM – Hike Around the Lake at Blendon Woods Metro Park – explore the meadows on this 2 mile, off-trail hike.

5:30 PM – Dia de los Muertos Community Celebration at Columbus Museum of Art – this event will include dancing and live music, art-making and more! $10 for nonmembers, $5 for members.

6:00 PM – November Hilltop Art Hop at Westgate Business Works – visit the businesses at West Broad at Westmoor and Westgate Avenues for artwork on display, special treats and a holiday market!

SUNDAY:

9:00 AM – Kids Yoga & Storytime at Cover to Cover Bookstore – join GoYoga for games, storytelling and physical activities. $10/child, ages 5-8.

10:00 AM – Free Admission at Columbus Museum of Art – admission is free on Sundays at the Columbus Museum of Art! Be sure to visit the Wonder Room for kids’ activities! 

10:00 AM – Community Days at Franklin Park Conservatory – on the first Sunday of each month, the Conservatory is free for residents of Franklin County and the City of Columbus (with valid ID) during regular operating hours of 10am to 5pm.

1:00 PM – The Great Pumpkin Drop in Marysville – firefighters will drop pumpkins from a 100-foot ladder truck! Bring your own pumpkin or purchase one at the event. Your name will be called when the pumpkin is dropped. There will also be fire trucks on display, bounce house and treats!
