1. Touch a Truck at Worthington Community Center

Another Touch-A-Truck this weekend! Kids can climb on and pretend to drive all kinds of vehicles – ambulances, fire trucks, military trucks and many more!  There will be a no horn hour from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.  Event is free!

2. Bexley Main Event Movie at Capital University

When: Friday, May 20, 2016
Time: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Bring the family to watch Finding Nemo outside!  Events before the movie (which starts at 9:00 PM) include food trucks, crafts by piccadilly, a library story time, an inflatable obstacle course, carnival games, bubble machines and more!  Event is free!

3. Der Dutchman Heritage Day at Der Dutchman Restaurant and Bakery

When: Friday and Saturday, May 20 & 21, 2016

Celebrate Plain City’s Amish heritage with a hog roast and concert, a horse parade, vintage baseball game, glass blowing, pony rides, face painting, petting zoo, and much more!  See link for more info about food prices and times of events.

4. Easton Food Fest at Easton Town Center

When: Friday – Sunday, May 20-22, 2016
Time: Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Sunday: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Three days of food and music are on deck for this weekend at Easton Town Center!  Friday is Food Truck Friday, Saturday is Sippin’ Saturday (more for us adults! 😉 ) and Sunday is Sweet Sunday.  Live music is on the agenda on Friday and Sunday!

5. 2016 Metro Parks GeoTrail Kickoff Event at Highbanks Metro Park

When: Saturday, May 21, 2016
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

This Geocache hunt is designed for all ages and will encourage families to explore the trees and forests of Metro Parks!  This kick off event will give those in attendance early access to the coordinates, which will be posted online on May 22, 2016.

6. EMS & Safety Day at COSI

When: Saturday, May 21, 2016

It’s National EMS Week and Saturday at COSI your kids can check out the vehicles first responders use to help others like fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars!  A MedFlight helicopter will be on site and you can try out a distracted driver simulator!  Free with COSI admission or membership.

 7. Hervé Tullet Family Workshop at Columbus Museum of Art

CMA and Worthington Libraries have come together to offer a workshop with artist and author, Hervé Tullet, best known for the children’s book Press Here.  The workshop is for the whole family and will encourage attendees to explore their creativity!  The cost of the program includes a copy of Art Workshops for Children and a book signing will follow the workshop.

 8. New Albany Founders Day Festival at New Albany 2-5 Elementary School

When: Saturday, May 21, 2016

Celebrate New Albany Founder’s Day with a parade, rides like The Graviton and Loop of Planes, and lots of carnival food!  See the link for the parade route and times!

9. Service Heroes Touch-A-Truck at Infirmary Mound Park

When: Sunday, May 22, 2016
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

If you live on the eastern side of the city or are up for a day trip, there’s another location to touch, climb and pretend to drive big vehicles!  Fire engines, police cars and mail trucks will be on site along with their drivers!
