2. Socially Distanced Carmen Ohio
Watch members of the Ohio State Marching band come together through the internet to play Carmen Ohio! OH-IO!
3. Random Acts of Art from Lindsay Gallery
Gallery Hop has gone virtual and you can check out one piece of art from each artist at Lindsay Gallery in the Short North on this slide show. Click the link above.
4. Watch Supervolcanoes courtesy of SciDome Planetarium at The Works
The Works in Newark is offering their SciDome Planetarium shows online! You can learn about Supervolcanes in this 20-ish minute video. Make it a science lesson with one of these volcano kits for kids!
5. Get Outside with Ohio State Parks
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has given us a little inspiration in 30 ways to spend time outdoors in May – or anytime, really! These ideas can be used any day of any month as far as I’m concerned! If your kids like to get outside, check out the book Sticks and Stones: A Kid’s Guide to Building and Exploring in the Great Outdoors by local author, Melissa
6. Watch a BUG Show Online with BUGMAN Education and Science Shows
Join the Bugman for an educational Bug Show! Skip ahead to minute 9 for the actual start of the show! This show is about an hour long!
7. Virtual Adventures: Playwriting with CATCO is Kids
Have kids who are interested in theater? CATCO is kids is offering some playwriting lessons online! There are already a couple of lessons online, this is the first one!
8. Rent a Board Game from Kingmakers
Getting bored of your games? Haha – pun not intended! Try renting out a new game from Kingmakers in the Short North!
9. Join the COSI Science Festival Online this Week and Weekend
COSI’s Science Fest goes online this year with many virtual events you can watch from your laptop! And on May 9th you can participate in the Big “At Home” Science Celebration!
