1. Blooms and Butterflies at Franklin Park Conservatory
Walk through hundreds of butterflies inside the Pacific Island Water Garden at Franklin Park Conservatory. In the Metamorphosis Lab, you can watch butterflies emerge from their chrysalises. This activity is included in general admission and takes place daily from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM through July 5, 2026.
2. Mythic Creatures at COSI
Learn about the natural and cultural roots of mythological creatures from Asia, Europe, the Americas and beyond at this temporary exhibit at COSI. This exhibit will be on display through September 7th and is included in general admission during daily COSI hours (generally Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
3. Love to Read? Kids’ Book Drive with Seeds of Caring
Join Seeds of Caring in helping every child have access to books in their home! Through April 26, kids ages 4-12 can collect gently used or new children’s books and decorate bookmarks for 2nd & 7. Register for FREE for a service packet with a discussion guide on literacy and social action, a printable bookmark template, and a donation drive flier.
4. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown at Proscenium Theatre
Watch a family-friendly musical featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang. The performance is two hours with a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are available online. Show times April 9-17 at 7:30 PM each night.
5. Family Adventures at Columbus Museum of Art
Take a specialty tour for children under 12 and their caregivers at the Columbus Museum of Art on Friday at 10:30 AM. The tour is designed to connect participants to art through storytelling and play. Registration is free for members.
6. Monster Jam at The Schottenstein Center
Monster Jam Freestyle Mania takes place April 10-12 at the Schottenstein Center. Show times are Friday at 7:00 PM, Saturday at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM and Sunday at 12:00 PM.
7. Watch Elijah Build at Main Library
Watch Elijah the Cup Buy build a large-scale cup sculpture in the atrium of the Main Library on Saturday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
8. WOSU Kids Day
Second Saturday Kids Day includes hands-on events and activities. Elinor and Ari from Elinor Wonders Why will be on site for a meet and greet. Participants can grow a seedling, do a drawing challenge, enjoy an airbrush artist and more on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Register online for this free event.
9. Family Storytime with Twinkle the Service Dog at Westerville Public Library
Learn about service animals, enjoy stories, rhymes and songs, do a dog craft and get a photo with Twinkle the service dog at this event on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pick up a coffee at one of these coffee shops in Westerville beforehand!
10. WorthingTunes at Old Worthington Library
Enjoy the musical Paddington Bear’s First Concert presented by the Worthington Chamber Orchestra on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
11. Hilltop Hop at Broad & Westmoor
The Hilltop Hop is a monthly event that takes place on the Second Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the businesses surrounding W. Broad St. and Westmoor Ave in the Hilltop. Everyone is invited to shop local vendors, enjoy special events and activities at the local businesses and enjoy food trucks and other treats!
12. World Heritage Week at Ohio History Connection
Celebrate the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks, Ohio’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site at Great Circle Earthworks, Fort Ancient Earthworks and Octagon Earthworks this weekend, beginning Saturday at 11:00 AM. The celebration continues through April 18th.
13. Red White & Vroom at Brookpark
Get up close to over 35 vehicles including vintage fire trucks, classic cars, a limousine, Ghostbusters vehicles and more at Brookpark rear parking lot on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
14. Potato Planting at Slate Run Farm
Help plant potatoes at Slate Run Farm on Saturday between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Participants can learn about the importance of potatoes throughout history.

15. Community Workshop – Elijah the Cup Guy at Main Library
Meet Elijah the Cup Buy and build your own sculpture with cups at the Main Library on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
16. Dig into Archeology at Westerville Public Library
Learn about archeology with hands-on activities led by local expert Akeighla Jenkins on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Ages 6-11.
17. Signs of Spring at Blacklick Woods Metro Park
Take a 1-mile hike with a naturalist at Blacklick Woods to look for signs of spring in the park on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
18. Family Fest at Columbus Museum of Art
This new event at the Columbus Museum of Art includes hands-on art making, gallery mini-tours, a “breakfast for dinner” buffet, cartoons on the big screen, a dance party, frozen treats and more! The event takes place on Saturday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Tickets are available online.
19. GOLDEN: A K-Pop Kids Party at Skully’s Music Diner
Enjoy a family-friendly dance party featuring K-Pop songs. Costumes and dancing are encouraged! Tickets are available online or at the door. The party takes place at 6:00 PM on Saturday.
20. Columbus Mothers of Twins Club Clothing & Equipment Sale at TOCA Soccer Center
Shop for gently used baby, child, tween, junior and maternity items at this sale on Sunday from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Enter early at 7:00 AM with a $2 donation to charity.
21. Beginning Birders Hike at Blendon Woods Metro Park
Beginning birders ages 12 and up can take a hike at Blendon Woods Metro Park to look and listen for spring birds on Sunday at 9:00 AM.
22. Pie Iron Grilled Cheese at Quarry Trails Metro Park
Make a grilled cheese sandwich over the campfire at Quarry Trails Metro Park on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM. While supplies last.

23. Community Concert at Canal Winchester Library
ProMusica will perform a family-friendly concert featuring Once Upon a Tune at the Canal Winchester Branch of CML on Sunday at 3:00 PM. There will be stories and live music.
24. Fairy Tale Tea Party at Old Worthington Library
This tea party includes tea, lemonade and fairy tales. Come in your fanciest attire on Sunday at 3:30 PM. Ages 8 and under.

25. Bubble Workshop at Brush Crazy
Create bubble art at Brush Crazy on Sunday at 5:30 PM. The $10 RSVP fee will be credited toward your in-studio purchase that day.
