Events are in chronological order. Ongoing events are listed first. If an event happens multiple times during a weekend, it will be listed in the order of its first occurrence, so make sure to read through the whole list! Have a great weekend!

1. Blooms and Butterflies at Franklin Park Conservatory

Visit the Pacific Island Water Garden between now and July 6th to walk amongst the butterflies! You can also view butterflies emerging from their chrysalises in the Metamorphosis Lab. This activity is available during regular hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and is included in admission.

2. Build the Thrill Event at LEGOLAND®

From March 6 – April 27 visitors can create the ultimate race car and beat the clock in an awesome race during the Build the Thrill Event. There will be building challenges, special scenes in MINILAND and special activities and photo ops!

3. Grove City Bunny Hunt

Print a Bunny Hunt entry sheet and find 14 bunnies throughout Grove City Town Center now through April 19th. Submit your completed form to win a prize. Check the link for all the details!

4. Photos with the Bunny at Polaris Fashion Place

Photos with the Bunny begin on Friday, March 21 and run through April 19th at Polaris Fashion Place! Book your reservation online and receive a complimentary gift. Walk-ups are also welcome. This year’s theme is Alice in Wonderland. All kids that visit the Bunny will receive a coupon good for 1 free small gelato at I Scream Gelato at Polaris Fashion Place.

5. Model Trains Galore at Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, see American Flyer model trains on display at the museum. Local train enthusiasts will be on-site to answer any questions. Kids can participate in a scavenger hunt to win prizes. The rest of the museum will be open as well and admission is free.

6. Family Storytime at Family Room Coffee & Bake Shop

Enjoy a story, movement rhymes and songs at Family Room Coffee & Bake Shop on Friday at 11:00 AM. Ages 2-5. (Read more about this family-friendly coffee shop here!)

7. Wild Kratts LIVE 2.0 at Palace Theatre

Join Martin and Chris Kratt for Wild Kratts LIVE 2.0 – Activate Creature Power! This all-new stage show is based on the hit PBS KIDS series Wild Kratts. There are two shows on Friday: 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM at Palace Theatre.

8. Try It! Archery at Scioto Grove Metro Park

Kids can try archery for free at the Scioto Grove Metro Park Archery Range on Friday from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM. All equipment provided. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

9. Monster Jam

Monster Jam® will be at Schottenstein Center April 4-6. Watch your favorite drivers and trucks compete by performing stunts, races, and freestyle tricks to see who will be the winner! Shows take place Friday at 7:00 PM, Saturday at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Sunday at 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM.

10. Easter Open House at Anthony Thomas Candy Company

Visit the Anthony Thomas Candy factory for free tours, Easter Eggs for kids, specials and to meet the Easter Bunny on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

11. Sustainability Fair at the Tremont Road Branch of UAPL

​The 2025 Sustainability Fair will take place on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Tremont Road Branch Atrium and parking lot. This family-friendly event will feature hands-on activities and programs for all ages. Attendees can donate books, household items, electronics, styrofoam, and used bicycles to local non-profits. Highlights include the OSU BUGmobile and presentations on sustainable living.

12. Sidewalk Sale at Prologue Bookshop

Shop for discounted books at this sidewalk sale at Prologue Bookshop on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. (See photos of Prologue in my recent Facebook post!)

13. Authors at the Library with Vashti Harrison 

This family-friendly author talk will take place on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Main Library. Author Vashti Harrison will share about her Caldecott Medal winner BIG and free copies will be given out to children in attendance while supplies last.

14. Community Concert at Hilltop Library

ProMusica’s student ensemble Play Us Forward will give a free concert at the Hilltop Branch of CML on Saturday at 12:30 PM.

15. Spring Crafts at Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Stop by the Nature Center at Blacklick Woods between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday to make spring-themed crafts.

16. Worthington Japanese Cherry Blossom and Sister City Celebration

Celebrate Japanese culture with hands-on activities, crafts, games and more! Learn about Worthington’s sister city, Sayama, Japan.

17. Toadstool Shadow at the Wagnalls Memorial

Enjoy a family-friendly concert by Toadstool Shadow at the Wagnalls Memorial on Saturday at 6:00 PM. A $20 family ticket is available. Buy tickets online or at the library.

18. Star Gazing at Battelle Darby Creek Nature Center

Make a star chart while checking out the night sky at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park on Saturday from 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Meet at the Nature Center Overflow Parking Lot.

19. Community Day at Franklin Park Conservatory

Residents of Columbus and Franklin County receive free General Admission to Franklin Park Conservatory on the first Sunday of every month from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Identification is required. This month’s theme is JASCO Cherry Blossom Day! There will be anime workshops, an origami workshop, mochi donuts, vendors, live performances and food trucks between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

20. International Peace Garden & Cherry Trees Scavenger Hunt

Pick up a self-guided scavenger hunt activity at the IVO tent by the ponds at Franklin Park between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Sunday.

21. Potato Planting at Slate Run Farm

Help plant potatoes between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Sunday at Slate Run Farm. (Weather permitting).

22. Arab-American Heritage Month: Author Visit with Aya Khalil at Westerville Public Library

This event on Sunday at 2:00 PM will include a reading by local children’s author Aya Khalil, a book sale and signing and audience Q&A. Recommended for kids ages 7 and under and their caregivers.
