1. Read All About It! Kids’ Book Drive through April 26 

Help make sure every child has access to books in their home! In this Seeds of Caring service project, kids ages 4-12 will collect gently used or new children’s books and decorate bookmarks for 2nd & 7. Register for FREE for a service packet with a discussion guide on literacy and social action, a printable bookmark template, and a donation drive flier. Drop off donations April 24-26 at a Seeds of Caring Ambassador’s home in Lewis Center, Upper Arlington, New Albany, Powell, Delaware, Dublin, or Bexley. 

2. Blooms and Butterflies at Franklin Park Conservatory

Walk through hundreds of butterflies inside the Pacific Island Water Garden at Franklin Park Conservatory. In the Metamorphosis Lab, you can watch butterflies emerge from their chrysalises. This activity is included in general admission and takes place daily from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM through July 5, 2026.

3. Mythic Creatures at COSI

Learn about the natural and cultural roots of mythological creatures from Asia, Europe, the Americas and beyond at this temporary exhibit at COSI. This exhibit will be on display through September 7th and is included in general admission during daily COSI hours (generally Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

4. Photos with Bunny at Polaris Fashion Place

Visit with the Bunny at Polaris Fashion Place from March 6 – April 4. You can book your reservation online or just walk up. All kids 13 and under will receive a coupon for a free small gelato from I Scream Gelato while supplies last. Check the link for exact hours because they change as Easter gets closer. You can also register for a Sensory Bunny event on March 15th.

5. $5 Student Climb at Dick’s House of Sport

Middle school, high school and college students can climb the Rock Wall at Dick’s House of Sport for just $5 for a 15-minute climb on the first Friday of every month beginning at 9:00 AM. Student ID is required when checking in. Booking is available online.

6. Baby & Me Yoga at the Dublin Library

Take an interactive yoga class from The Blanced Child Method featuring yoga poses, calming techniques, and more on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Dublin Branch of CML. Bring a mat.

7. Behind the Scenes: Bison at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Learn about the bison at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park and find out how they are cared for on Friday at 10:00 AM. Ages 8 and up.

8. Family Crafts: Spring at Westerville Public Library

Make a spring-themed craft at the Westerville Public Library on Friday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Recommended for ages 7 and under.

9. Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink

This ice rink in Dublin is open through March 15, 2026. Hours are: Fridays from 5–10 p.m., Saturdays from noon–10 p.m. and Sundays from noon–8 p.m. Cost is $15 per person and free skate rental is available for sizes Youth 9 – Adult 13. You may also bring your own skates (admission is the same cost).

10. Bingo Night at Family Room Coffee

Bingo Night takes place on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month and all ages can participate to win prizes and treats at Family Room Coffee & Bake Shop from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

11. Annie at the Southern Theatre

The Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital presents Annie this weekend at the Southern Theatre. The beloved story of Annie will feature your favorite songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s a Hard-Knock Life.” Performances will take place on Friday at 7:00 PM, Saturday at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM and Sunday at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Tickets are available online.

12. Olympus: The Greek Rock Musical at Abbey Theatre

This rock musical features a group of cousins who set off on a hike to “Olympus Overlook” and are tested by ancient deities. Shows take place at Abbey Theatre in Dublin on Friday at 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Tickets are available online.

13. Columbus Brick Convention at the Ohio Expo Center

The Brick Convention is a LEGO fan event featuring hands-on LEGO building, massive LEGO displays, vendors, photo ops and more. Tickets are available by session time on Saturday from 7:15 AM – 8:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Tickets are cheaper when purchased online.

14. Prom Swap at Westerville Public Library

Teens ages 16-18 can stop by to look through a selection of new and gently used formal attire for prom or another special occasion. There is no cost or donation required! Hours are Saturday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or Sunday from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

15. Disability Resource Fair at Blacklick Woods Golf Course

Meet and talk to over 20 local agencies and service providers who will offer information about recreational and therapeutic opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Click the link for a list of participating providers. This event will take place on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

16. Clintonville History Day: Family Storytime at the Whetstone Library

Learn about local history through fun and engaging stories at the Whetstone Branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library on Saturday at 10:00 AM. The same storytime will also take place at 11:00 AM.

17. Get the Grumpies Out at Northwest Library

Enjoy fun activities where kids ages 5 and under can get out their excess energy. There will be a space just for babies as well. This activity will take place on Saturday from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Northwest Library.

18. Saturday Morning Cartoons at Bexley Public Library

Watch classic Saturday morning cartoons and enjoy light snacks at the Bexley Public Library on Saturday at 11:00 AM.

19. Bilingual Storytime at Worthington Park Library

Families can enjoy a bilingual story time featuring stories, rhymes, music and movement in English and Spanish on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Worthington Park Library.

20. Uptown Cookie Walk

On Saturday from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, attendees can collect 15 Cheryl’s Cookies from local shops and restaurants in Uptown Westerville. Tickets are available online.

21. Saturday Afternoon with Author Michelle Herman at Cover to Cover

Join local author Michelle Herman in celebration of the re-release of her nonfiction book, A Kid’s Guide To Life, at Cover to Cover on Saturday at 1:00 PM.

22. Cabin Fever Crafternoon at Thurber House

Bring your own craft to this judgement-free fun zone at Thurber House on Saturday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Simple craft supplies will be supplied if you don’t have your own. This event is for teens and adults and it is free to attend. A $10 donation is suggested. RSVP required.

23. Signs of Spring at Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Take a 1-mile hike with a naturalist to look for early signs of spring at Blacklick Woods Metro Park on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Meet at the Nature Center.

24. Spring Fly Tying at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Register in advance to learn the art of fly tying at Battelle Darby Creek Nature Cneter on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. All supplies and equipment will be provided and registration is required. This event is for age 13 and up.
