Local farms are gearing up for Fall Festivals and activities! Start your planning by checking out these posts:

1. Venardos Circus at Tanger Outlets Columbus

From September 19-29, the Vernardos Circus will be at Tanger Outlets Columbus. The show features a “Broadway-Style” circus performance with juggling, acrobats, clowns, aerial acts and more. Tickets are available online. There are several showtimes throughout the weekend.

2. U.S. Air Force Birthday Weekend at National Veterans Memorial and Museum

Celebrate the 77th birthday of the U.S. Air Force with $5 admission to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be speical programs and kid-friendly activity stations each day including the opportunity to make your own airplane!

3. St. Mary Oktoberfest

The Saint Mary School Oktoberfest takes place on Friday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and includes authentic German food and drinks, family-friendly activities and live music.

4. Arts in the Alley

The Arts in the Alley Festival takes place in Town Center Park in Grove City on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and features art displays, live demonstrations and local arts for sale. There will be a Voice of Grove City competition on Saturday and a Community Parde beginning at 9:30 AM pn Saturday. There is a Kids’ Fun Street and live entertaniment. The festival begins on Friday at 5:00 PM

5. Music in the Park at Stradley Park

Music in the Park at Stradley Park takes place from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Friday and this month’s theme is Fall Fest featuring live music by Honkytonk Revival Band, pumpkins, a corn maze, a bounce house, balloon animals, and more!

6. Screen on the Green at Goodale Park

Watch the movie Wonka (PG) in Goodale Park on Friday with activities beginning at 6:00 PM. The film will be shown on a giant, inflatable screen and will begin at sunset. There will be food trucks available.

7. 1999 Movie Rewind at Easton

Watch The Mummy (PG-13) at The Yard at Easton Town Center on Friday at 8:30 PM. Complimentary blankets and popcorn will be available while supplies last.

8. Touch A Truck at Hannah Park

Enjoy a Touch-a-Truck at Hannah Park on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM featuring the fire, police and public works departments of Gahanna. Bring a non-perishable donation to Gahanna Residents in Need.

9. Leeds Farm Opening Weekend

Leeds Farm opens for the season this weekend, and there are three special events happening. The Leeds Farm Autism Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday beginning at 9:30 AM (see link for details). The 30th Anniversary Celebration takes place on Sunday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM with 30% off general admission tickets (must be purchased online). And the Military Farm Salute, which gives active duty and retired military personnel a free bag of kettle corn or mini-donuts with ID on Saturday and Sunday.

10. Barbie Truck at Easton Town Center

The Barbie Dreamhouse Living Pop-Up Truck will be parked near Crate & Barrel at Easton Town Center on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Barbie Dreamhouse truck will offer an array of apparel, along with home goods and accessories inspired by a day in life of Barbie in her Dreamhouse.

11. Parade of Bird Homes at Blendon Woods Metro Park

Drop by the Nature Center at Blendon Woods between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Saturday to learn about bird house building and how to attract birds to your birdhouse.

12. OSU LEGO Build at Standardized Brewing

Join BAM Powell at Standardized Brewing for an OSU-themed LEGO Build. Your registration includes an OSU LEGO set, 1 snack token and 2 drink tickets. This event takes place between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM on Saturday.

13. Forts, Fire & Fun at Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Roast marshmallows by the fire and build a fort in the Natural Play Area at Blacklick Woods Metro Park on Saturday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

14. Bexley Mural Festival

From 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Saturday enjoy a celebration of art, culture and community featuring mural painting along Main St. in Bexley. There will be live music, pizza, ice cream, food trucks, adult beverages and an artist alley featuring a makers marketplace.

15. Welcome to Fall at Highbanks Metro Park

From 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday there will be hayrides, inflatables, campfires, marshmallows, archery and other outdoor activities at Highbanks Big Meadow Picnic Area. The movie How to Train Your Dragon will be shown at 8:00 PM. This is a free event.

16. Pumpkin Float and Flick at Hlliard Municipal Park

There will be a lantern-lit trail at Municipal Park and after the sun sets, your pumpkins will be launched into the pond. Watch the movie Willy Wonka in the park afterward. Bring your own pumpkin (5 lbs or less). Time frame is Saturday from 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM.

17. Sand Art Class at Standardized Brewing

Take a Sand Art Class for kids at Standardized Brewing on Sunday at 10:00 AM. Tickets are available online.

18. Mega Mum Fest at Bakers Acres

This fall celebration at Baker’s Acres Greenhouse takes place on Sunday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and features live music, pumpkin painting, local vendors and more!

19. Go Fourth Block Party

On Sunday from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM enjoy a Block Party at Budd Dairy Food Hall, Seventh Son Brewing and Habibi Grill on North Fourth Street. There will be activities for kids, workshops, the Ohio State BugMobile, an interactive Chalk Art Experience, a vendor’s market, a DJ, balloon animals and more! There will be free parking available.

20. Sunday Funday in Worthington

This month’s Sunday Funday theme is Oktoberfest! On Sunday from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM explore the businesses of Old Worthington for specials, entertainment and kid-friendly activities including face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy and more!

21. Free LEGO Build at Nocterra Brewing

On Sunday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM enjoy free building with LEGO bricks at Nocterra Brewing in Powell.

22. Pumpkin Carving at Olentangy Caverns

Watch Gus the Squash Carver carve a 500-pound pumpkin at Olentangy Caverns on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 4:00) PM.

23. Sundays at Scioto

Enjoy a free outdoor concert at Scioto Park in Dublin from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Sunday. This week’s concert features Andy Shaw and Fleetwood Gold. There will be food trucks on-site as well.

24. Let’s Get Crafty! Make Art for Meals-on-Wheels with Seeds of Caring

In this FREE service project from Seeds of Caring, art-lovers and crafty kids aged 2-12 can spread smiles while gaining empathy for homebound seniors. Learn about the neighbors Meals-on-Wheels serves, then create cheerful art to be included in their meal deliveries. Print and color our template or create your own colorful crafts through September 30th.
