Stop into this chocolate truffle store in downtown Powell for a delightful treat! The candies are gorgeous! All of the chocolates are created in-house. They are handmade and hand-painted with cocoa butter!

2. Village Green Park

The city of Powell has a fun combination park and splash pad right downtown! The playground and splash pad are conveniently across from each other so kids can run between the two and never get bored!
This splash pad is free to enjoy and is generally open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
There is a public parking lot right off of Hall Street at City Hall.
3. Beehive Bread Company

I first tasted cinnamon rolls from Beehive Bread Company in 2018. I daydreamed about them ever since. I never could make it to Powell on a weekend morning to snag one!
It only took me 6 years to get my second cinnamon roll! LOL That’s embarrassing but true. And I didn’t have to go on a Saturday morning!
I happened to be meeting some friends for coffee in Powell on a Thursday morning and we walked down to Beehive Bread Company and lo and behold, they had cinnamon rolls in stock! They also have them with maple frosting, which looked delicious!
I also tried the dark chocolate and sea salt cookie! It was very good and I recommend it if you like dark chocolate and your cookies pretty salty.
They have lots of other goodies I will have to come back and try! Hopefully it won’t be another 6 years!
4. Mr. Bean Coffee

Mr. Bean Coffee in Powell is a really sweet spot to meet a friend for coffee! I love all of the plants inside the shop. If you look at this coffee shop from the outside, you will never guess what it looks like on the inside!
Mr. Bean also serves gelato so it’s also a great spot for a little bit of dessert, though the shop does close at 5:00 PM so make it a little afternoon pick me up!
You can choose from a good selection of pastries, bagels and baked goods! The coffee menu is extensive and they also serve tea and matcha drinks!
5. Bricks and Minifigs Powell

Bricks and Minifigs (BAM) Powell opened in 2024 in Powell and they are a great go-to spot for the LEGO fans in your life!
My kids love LEGO!! They had so much fun finding retired minifigs and LEGO sets at BAM. They are really into collecting specific minifigs so this was a great spot for them!
In the shop, you can build your own minifigs, buy bricks in bulk, find certified used sets and even sell your LEGO bricks and sets for cash or credit!
6. Decor by Peachtree Street

This cute shop in downtown Powell is located in a house. Peachtree Street has home decor items, jewelry, gifts and holiday items. It’s a fun stop for your home decorating needs or for that perfect gift!

7. Liberty Park

Liberty Park is a great playground that has it all! Within the park, you will find Every Kid’s Playground, an accessible playground that kids of all ability levels can enjoy.
Kids will love this playground! It also contains a sand pit with contraptions, a big playground, a small playground, a cool roller slide, a glider boat and more.
Liberty Park covers 16.5 acres and has a paved path through the park. The park is home to many community events throughout the year. The trees in this park are beautiful in the fall!
