1. Help Nourish Local Kids in Need this Spring Break with Seeds of Caring

Kids 2-12 are invited to join Seeds of Caring and New Albany Food Pantry to help fight hunger in our community! With a read-aloud story, age-appropriate discussion, and hands-on Snack Bag packing you can do anywhere, little hands (and hearts!) can make a difference for families served by New Albany Food Pantry. Families and groups can participate any time through March 12.

2. Kids Dream Winter Film Series At Marcus Theatres

Starting January 13th through April 2nd visit Marcus Theatres for Kids Dream Winter Film Series. This event features a line up of family films and an opportunity for free tickets when you redeem vouchers through American Family Insurance. See link for tickets, times and pricing.

3. Riverside Crossing Park And Coffman Park Seasonal Ice Rink

4. STEMfest! At The Works

Starting Friday March 3rd through Sunday March 5th you can visit The Works for STEMfest! This hands-on festival brings all things STEM to you! This event and the museum is free this weekend. See link for times and details.

5. The Sound of Music by Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital At The Palace Theatre

Starting Friday March 3rd through Sunday March 5th visit The Palace Theatre for The Sound Of Music! Proceeds go to palliative care and hospice at Nationwide Children’s. See link for tickets, times and pricing.

6. Fun With Lego At Old Worthington Library

Friday March 3rd at 4pm visit the Old Worthington library and get creative with Lego bricks! This event is for all ages.

7. Anime Club At Bexley Public Library

Friday March 3rd at 4:30pm visit the Bexley Public library for Anime Club. Teens and tweens are invited to come in their favorite costumes and enjoy some fan art, sketching and shows on the big screen.

8. Family Night At Worthington Community Center

Friday March 3rd at 6:30pm visit the Worthington community center for family night! This family friendly event will feature crafts, games and activities for the whole family. See link for registration.

9. 2023 Sugarhouse Tours At Butcher Family Maple Products

Saturday March 4th and Sunday March 5th starting at 10am take a free guided tour through the maple trees for education and samples of maple syrup. 

10. Maple Fest At Camp Lazarus

Saturday March 4th starting at 9am visit Camp Lazarus for Maple Fest! This hands-on festival features rope making, fire building, blacksmith work and more! See link for tickets and pricing.

11. 150 Birthday Bash at Columbus Metropolitan Library

Columbus Metropolitan Library is celebrating 150 years! There will be a Birthday Bash at the Main Library and activities at participating locations! Look for live performances, tours, refreshments, crafts and more!

12. Maple Sugar Celebration At Stratford Ecological Center

Saturday March 4th starting at 10am visit the Stratford Ecological Center for Maple Sugar Celebration! This self guided festival will have maple syrup samples, visiting with some new farm animals and a storybook trail. See link for tickets, times and pricing.

13. Uptown Cookie Walk In Uptown Westerville

Saturday March 4th starting at Noon visit Uptown Westerville for Uptown Cookie Walk. This stroll through uptown and local businesses will earn you cookies! See link for tickets and pricing.

14. Maple Time At Slate Run Metro Park

Saturday March 4th at 1pm visit Slate Run Metro Park for Maple Time! This family friendly event features a short hike, tapping of trees and sweet sample at the end of the hike.

15. Parsons Avenue Winter Art Hop And Mural Tour At Community Grounds

Saturday March 4th at 2pm visit Community Grounds for a winter art hop and mural tour. This event will have art for admiring and purchase.

16. Amphibian Search At Rocky Fork Metro Park

Saturday March 4th at 2pm visit Rocky Fork Metro Park for Amphibian Search! This 1.5-mile hike will take you searching for spring amphibians.

17. Community Day At Franklin Park Conservatory

Sunday March 5th is Community Day at Franklin Park Conservatory! This free event lets you experience the conservatory and children’s garden at no charge with your proof of residency in Columbus or Franklin county. Identification is required.

18. Turtle Carving At Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Sunday March 5th at Noon visit Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park for some turtle carving! Participants will be loaned tools to carve a turtle out of an avocado pit! Guests must come with their own avocado pit and be 15 years or older.

19. Kids Eat Free at City Barbeque

On Sunday, it’s Family Time at City Barbeque. They are offering 2 free kids meals for each paying adult with a purchase of $12 or more. Mention “family time” when placing your order. Only valid when paying in store. It’s recommended that you call the location you plan to visit to confirm if they are participating.

20. Woodcock Watch At Blendon Woods Metro Park

Sunday March 5th at 6:15pm visit Blendon Woods Metro Metro Park to search for the fascinating woodcock as it makes its courtship dance. Meet in the natural play area.
