Looking for something fun to do this weekend in Columbus? Try out one of these family-friendly Columbus and Ohiobased events and activities!

1. Craft With Care: Send Holiday Cheer to Active Military with Seeds of Caring 

Help bring the joy of the season to those protecting our country! In this free at-home activity, kids will create cards and ornaments for active military members serving overseas. Register for this Seeds of Caring event at the link, then drop off your creations touch-free on a volunteer’s porch Nov. 4-6, and Operation Evergreen will take care of the shipping.    

2. Autumn Scavenger Hunt At Lane Road Library

Anytime Friday November 4th at the Lane Road library stop by to get a scavenger hunt sheet from the desk in the youth department and look for fall themed pictures throughout the library. Once you have found them all return the sheet to the youth desk for a prize!

3. Ready, Set, Draw! At Worthington Park Library

Friday November 4th at 4pm visit the Worthington Park Library for a fun interactive drawing game. This game aims to inspire creativity and is intended for ages under 8.

4. STEAM Club: Cryptic Codes At Whetstone Library

Friday November 4th at 4:30pm visit Whetstone Library for some code breaking fun! At this event you will learn how to write secret messages, use Morse code and write in Binary.

5. Kids Night Out At Busy Bees Pottery And Art Studio

Friday November 4th at 6pm visit Busy Bees Art Studio for kids night out where the kiddos will be creating their very own clay turkey bowl. This event is intended for ages 6 and up. See link for cost and reservations.

6. TORG Gaming Expo At Ohio Expo Center

Saturday November 5th starting at 10am visit the Ohio Expo Center for TORG Gaming Expo. This event will feature kids zone activities, game tournaments, game exhibits, game vendors and a massive free play area. See link for tickets, times and pricing.

7. Celebrate Hilltop at Westgate Park

This is a family-friendly event celebrating the Hilltop beginning on Saturday at 10:00 AM in Westgate Park! There will be food trucks, crafts and games for kids, live music and community resources!

8. Paw Patrol Rescue Academy At Tremont Road Library

Saturday November 5th at 10:30am visit Tremont Road library for a morning filled with all of your favorite pups! Listen to Paw Patrol stories, dance to the Paw Patrol theme song and complete activities to become an official Paw Patrol member!

9. Saturday Storytime At Westerville Public Library

Saturday November 5th at 10:30am visit the Westerville public Library for a morning filled with stories, songs, dancing and rhymes. Registration is required.

10. National Bison Day! At Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Saturday November 5th starting at 1pm visit Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park to celebrate our national mammal, bison! Crafts, activities, games and snacks will all be here to celebrate the bison and their special day! See link for list of times of events.

11. Santa Comes To Cabela’s

Saturday November 5th at 5pm get your visit in early with Santa as he comes to visit Cabela’s. Visit with Santa and kick off the Santa Wonderland event. See link for list of times for photo opportunities.

12. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month: Molly Of Denali At Tremont Road Library

Anytime Sunday November 6th visit Tremont Road Library to celebrate Native American heritage month with Molly Of Denali. Go on informational adventures with Molly Of Denali, learn about animals of Alaska and  learn about Native Americans living here in central Ohio.

13. Community Day At Franklin Park Conservatory

Sunday November 6th starting at 10am visit Franklin Park Conservatory for Community Day! This event allows for the opportunity to experience Franklin Park Conservatory and the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden at no cost.

14. Greater Columbus STEM & Arts Expo At Polaris Fashion Place

Sunday November 6th starting at Noon visit Polaris Fashion Place for a day filled with STEM and arts! The Greater Columbus STEM & Arts expo will be here with games, robotics, balloon artists, competitions and live entertainment. See link for tickets, times and pricing of event.

15. The Great Pumpkin Drop At Marysville Fire Department

Sunday November 6th at 1pm visit the Marysville Fire Department for The Great Pumpkin Drop! Watch pumpkins drop from a 100-foot ladder truck. Bring your own pumpkin or buy one at the event. They will also have touch-a- truck, bounce houses and fall treats to enjoy! 

16. Family And Friends Event At Brush Crazy

Sunday November 6th starting at 1pm get together with the family and pick something to paint! See link for pricing and reservations.

17. Full Moon Guided Horseback Ride At Infirmary Mound Park

Sunday November 6th starting at 5:30pm visit Infirmary Mound Park for a guided horseback ride under the stars. Bring your horse, camping chairs and saddle up for a great evening. At this event you will take a horseback ride followed by a campfire with s’mores and hotdogs. Registration is required.
